  1. Ive been riding a mono trial on the front and rear with a 200mm rotor, it is far too powerful sometimes and slipps other times, will also put strain on the spokes so will constantly be coming undone. Just bought echo rim break so should be running that soon.
  2. Don't know which echo BB your tlkin about but im running the Echo, external and it runs nice, looks pretty good as well
  3. started on a diamond back t10, had a woodman but snapped it, am now running the simtra ST-1
  4. I run mono trial back and front but am likely to change the back to a cnc rim brake now. If your going to put it on the front then deffinitely a good idea, if yourgoing to put one on the back, stick with maggies
  5. theyve got lots of grip on them. they just seem to wear down in a about a month of riding. Just get another pair of maxis creepy crawlers they seem like the best choice available.
  6. The VIZ rims look very nice, havent had contact with them and don't know how they hold. try all rims have been running well ever since i got them and hold up nicely to trials.
  7. there is also www.vizbikes.co.uk which has some nice products to offer
  8. You should go on Trash zen, theyv got a good technique to get you started, or just watch a few videos and see how its done. Its basically down to practise, practise and more practise, once you do it once you will always be able to do it.
  9. there is actually three of them on Ebay at the moment, some of them are modified so will obviously go higher than £150, the others should go for this price or lower. There all fully built as well so shouldn't be any trouble
  10. Never seen or heard of them until now, very nice. I agree, looks very similar to the gu.
  11. nice vid, what was that 2nd soundtrack you used for it
  12. If the brake works allright then does it really matter about the sound. Just wait for the pads to bed in a bit, if your rims are smooth then it might be an idea to go over them with a bit of sand paper.
  13. Deffinetely go for the new long wheelbase GU, they look awesome or if u don't want to spend as much as £300, go for the echo lite off of Tarty at £219
  14. was just wondering which break to buy, despite the price, how does the echo compare to the hs 33 and vice versa.
  15. Not only will the wider rim give you more balance, but it will also give more bounce when gapping or hopping, as well as this, landings should be much softer due to the increased surface area acting on the rim.
  16. Hi im running 18t echo screw on for the front with a Bachelor gusset 14t on the rear which when considering the length and geometry of the ST-1 is fairly high
  17. Been running rear hope mono trial 200mm disc brake for around 6 months on a simtra st-1, but am now thinking whether to switch to either magura hs33 or echo rim break. What would you recommend i do?
  18. I first started off on the 26" dimond back t10 which was really not the way to go, just found the set up so hard to ride. After time i lost interest but got back in bought a woodman and just really liked the feel over the smaller 20" bikes. Im now running the simtra st-1 frame which i also very much like. It just depends what your used to or prefer to ride. Often quite hard on the stocks to begin with but just seems to get easier once used to basically just like most bikes.
  19. Ive been running hope mono trials on the front and rear and ive had no trouble with them for about 6 months, apart from the fact that the lever blades come out way to far when the brakes are adjusted, which is not a problem with the cable disks. It is also a lot more expensive to both buy and maintain hydro brakes.
