That a 28inch trials/jump bike with badly set up maguras is not good to trials hop on....or go to back.....or side hop onto even the smallest of things as it hurts when that gooch hits between the seat and tire!!!
-
Well it’s all done now I ended up getting so annoyed at people taking the piss out of me that I didn’t respond until it was done. I used about 6 spoons and it’s sorted! I'm surprised by the response though I didn’t feel any community spirit! Anyway it’s done and dusted and I need never ask again! Cheers for the positive responses p.s I never called Tom a knob! Just felt his comment was slightly unnecessary!

Advice been really helpful bar that comment!! If he'd read the thread hed realise its struggling to get off. I've been into biking my whole life and only ever had a thorn puncture maybe it's the rider..... Im the same as that guy but not the same length of time. But tis all been realy interesting im gonna give the tire another chance. Someone mentioned boiling/very hot water? Any do's/don't's?

Ohright cheers the guy in the shop said thicker ones last longer, they were the same price so i bought one haha. See how it goes in the future but the advice was spot on!! Cheers!

Yeah thats what im thinking. Does the rotor size make any real difference?

Hey one and all, looking to do my first grind tomoz so ive prepped the bike. Problem number one: I run maxxis creepy crawler on an onza alex rim......but the tyre and inner tube wont come off with the normal spoon trick. So anyone have any bright ideas? My second problem is thinkiness of blade on the grinder. I can either buy a small one say 4mm thick one or a thicker one at say 8mm. Which will give the best result?

WOAH!! Thats such a nice bike!?! How much did that set you back?!

Hey everyone. The problem I've got may seem simple to all you pro's out there!! However when I'm on a ledge and i want to gap/drop. I can get onto back wheel fine but then trying to turn 90 degrees I really can't manage! What top tips are there? I can either do it in one flowing motion like a pedal hop type thing but then its very unstable. I can't seem to get the little hops and turn?? Much appreciated!!

Basically the thread "burst" through the circulare bit that it screws into. No pics im afraid as binned anything i couldn't scavenge

Hey everyone, recently have been having a lot of problems with chain tensioners. Was out on a ride and as I went to back wheel some crates the chain side tensioner snapped so in a panic I spent 20 quid on new DMR ones. Then within a week or two I pulled the front wheel up then with a huge CRACK the chain side tensioner snapped?!?! Anyone else having this problem? What else can I ride instead of tensioners?

The other thing possible is what I receive on surfing. It is a weekly newsletter, it contains a small bit of info but you could make them larger. Whoever chooses to do it would make it a subscribe business. This could be paid for and then this could subsidise the start of a magazine. The other option I thought of is why doesn’t someone approach MBUK (someone with a bit of a background in the industry, Perhaps an admin ). They would perhaps help with funding or production even. They are part of the huge company Myfavouritemagazines. They're loaded. I’m sure there is a niche in an ever growing area of biking. Perhaps it’s a dragons den idea?

A week? Not being funny but I've been riding a little less then a week and pulled 5 crates today. I think my highest would be 2-3ft off this little wall. First proper day was tuesday though, so I'm happy

Why isn't he a member yet?!?! My fional point is yesterday I was getting annoyed at myself and found my riding got a lot worse so theres the proof for you haha. Also try and find ways of meeting new riders in towns near you, it will help you push yourself wether they're better then you or similar standard!

Hey I know what you mean where to start. Basically I was told to watch others. This isn't always easy but my best tip (passed through the trials generations) is to treat... www.trashzen.com ...as a bible. It takes you right through and also can show where most people go wrong. It sounds as if you’ve got a good basis but keep it up its all worth it!! The most important thing is...keep it fun...

Hey everyone this is my bike. I bought it last Wednesday so a little over a week ago. I paid £135 for it. Since then I've had to rebleed the rear Magura (£8) as I didn’t know how to do it myself at home. Then I snapped the chain tensioners which set me back about £20. It’s been modified with:- ZOO! Handlebars - Echo Cranks - DMR V12 Pedals - ACS Claw Freewheel - A Rear Brake Booster (Unsure of Make) - A New Front Lever for the HS33 - A Rear Hub (Possibly Try-all) - Specialized Grips - Onza T-Master Stem - Echo Rear Fixed Cog http://www.esnips.com/web/Trialsbike Hope it works as it is my first attempt.

I've said that to him. However it does make it nice and symetrical. Can't beat that haha. Brad it does add weight though!
-
Afraid its 05, front and rear maggies. Its still damn sweet though, but snapped the chain tensioners yesterday. A cool £20 taken out of the bank!?!?!

This guy has it completely right!! Got my bike last wednesday and until tuesday I had probably put in about 4/5hours. Then yesterday I went out between 10 and 7. I improved well amazingly. I didnt think that by doing so much time would help that much but it really has. Also now I'm pedal hopping and trials hopping. It literally is a case of practising as much as possible.
-
In future don't listen to little Brad. He was completely wrong. I've actually got Koxx Bloxx (browns) But I didnt know as I looked at them in the dark. We put tar on today and tehy are working mint. Only problem is.....Snapped the chain tensioners so had to buy a new set (£20!!!!!) Cheers anyway

They may have a spell check but it sure as hell doesn't work on my computer! Getting fed up of copying and pasting into Word then sorting the whole statement out! -
This guy has got it spot on. I also would say treat... www.trashzen.com ...like your bible its making life a dream for me. Really would suggest reading through that as its got me improving ten-folds everyday!! Pedal hops aren't easy, I'm trying and seem to be at a similar stage but I also find that by practising it rolling a bit more and getting up curbs and stuff you can get the feel then its just practise...practise...practise

Someones an avid MBUK reader haha. Most of those posters appear on my wall! Hope your not nthinking of landing and crumpling at the knees! could be extremly painful!! Nice biek though Bet the brake power on that is imense! Face a race downhill first one to stop before the motorway wins?

Ahh I get you seems a perfectly good upgrade then!! Thanks for that it had been bugging me!!
