  1. Only just seen this mate, I'm all good now was just a lack of riding but think i've got it sorted now
  2. I've got a 2.5 on my zoo Piranha and no problems at all, could probably get a 2.6 in there
  3. Sounds like a plan the der kaiser seems to be the tyre of choice so...
  4. Well i'm sick of getting pinch flats, every ride now i have got a puncher! so here are my options 1. get a conti rubber queen in 2.2 and use a downhill tube 2. get a try all sticky lite and use a normal tube 3. get a conti der kaiser and use a lightweight tube. At the moment I'm thinking the best option would be the conti der baron but there seems to be alot of people saying that the rubber queen is the way too go? Looking for peoples opinions please. Harry
  5. Well that was abit of a shock. put my bike on the scales at the fish market 9.31 kg :O

    Weight

But how much of that is "in you'r head" as you know it is lighter? is there proof in the riding? Yes I though that as soon as a posted but I think it may still come into effect a little with wheel acceleration (when kicking the pedals). I know it will be on a very very very small level but there would still be a bigger gain loosing 100g of you'r tires than say you'r bars ?

    Weight

just the info i'm looking for. I think it is all big deal over nothing. Fair enough if you are in comps and then ever little helps like in motorbike racing when chasing hundredths of seconds! The things i think will make a difference is tyres and maybe rims as rotational mass is magnified hugely

    Weight

Well I have noticed alot of people are really caught up on the weight of there bikes. My question is at a "normal" level of riding how important is it ? For example people are spending £120 on handlebars just to save 100grams. Would you notice the difference of 100 grams as a "normal" rider? Also say you'r bike was 9.9kg and you were used to riding it but then didn't ride for say a month and then rode the same geo bike which weighs 9.3kg would you notice the different and be able to do more? Would it effect you'r ability ? Harry
  9. Kinda got the hang of it today, just think the more a ride the easier it will be. Thanks all
  10. Oh ok so the "normal" is 175. Must just me being new and stuff i'll keep trying
  11. Ok, what is the "normal" size for stock cranks?
  12. Yep 18-15 with 175mm cranks I find kick hops up easier at the same hight, just the moving moves that i' finding very hard
  13. Ok, it just feels on the pedal ups that i have to go VERY slow to still have power in the cranks with my current gearing
  14. Yep I am riding tomorrow so will get one then . what is the normal process for getting onto the back wheel up a wall? would it be a pedal up or just a hop ? on a stock that is
  15. Well just been out on the new bike for half hour and i'm finding pedal to ups very hard. I can side hop higher and easier than pedal ups. It just feels like i have no power and when trying to just hop up without pedaling (like i used to on my mod six years ago) i just end up going over the front end. Some help would be great. On the plus side It felt great to ride again. Thanks
  16. First little ride on the new bike today dammm this is harder than i remember

    gearing

Well having rode my new bike today the gearing seems a little light to what I remember, But that was over five years ago. What I know the normal gearing on a stock 18----15, is that 18 rear and 15 front or the other way round? Harry
  19. Nice, When i used to ride I always wanting to go to London maybe this time i willl
  20. Looking good mate, If you ever decide to get rid of that rear rim, or wheel I will deco have it Harry
  21. What about this for the front? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/26_inch_tyres/maxxis_beaver/c33p11912.html
