i did mine but i clamped it in a vice also i used a pneumatic drill as there more powerful and more acurate also it helps to use a punch first ! Adam

i told him i needed a 68mm , 127.5 bottom bracket and he said " o no you dont u need a 86mm 150 " i told him i dident and he insisted he was the expert and had worked at a bike shop for 5 months (WOW) i just wanted to wack him round the head with my frame lol i cant hit him though cuz its the cheapest shop in the area Adam

itsnota matter of whats easier its about whats right for you and for some people itsmod and others its stock and in some strange cases people shoose thes strange bikes which are inbetween i think there called "24's lol Adam

i workl at a tyre garage and we do it down there free of charge as it takes 5 minutes tops lol most garages will do it but im not sure abiout placees like halfords lol Adam

heating them up changes the structure of the cranks and can therefore cause things such as the cranks snapping i did it on my old ones it just snapped clean in 2 lol Adam
