  1. :"> Aye lad! That I should :"> Just for you Mike.... ...One explanation of why good leaders can deal with these increased cognitive demands is experience or more specifically quality of experience. The results show that good leaders had in fact, on average, been climbing three more years than bad leaders. However, when discussing experience as a mediating variable it must be understood that the number of years an individual has been climbing may not reflect the amount of leading experience they have had i.e. quality of experience. With this in mind a more apt term would be ‘conditioning’ as suggested by Hardy & Hutchinson (2005). The good climbers are conditioned to increase effort and therefore performance via repeated exposure to the high anxiety situation (Hardy & Hutchinson, 2005). Conditioning therefore influences whether you get the processing efficiency theory expectation or at least affects the details of how processing efficiency theory works.... :P I'M NEARLY DONE - WOOHOO
  2. We have a winner just ordered them, the bright yellow ones!! tee hee In conclusion, Will you muppet! :-

Fantastic! You'll got some over sized balls lads. Roll on endless summer days and riding for 11 hours day after day! Peace Barlow
  13. Agreed - Although your performance came a very close second mate!! "Mr T.! B.A. Barbacas!!!" who on earth is that?? Was that an attempt at saying Baracus?? You were brilliant mate :P
  14. Loved it mate, I'm a big fan of chilled vids and this one definitely manages to communicate far more than 'here is a bunch of riders sessioning some rocks' - top job.
  15. I didn't have a hand in any of the videos because like Judders said most of us were too busy riding. Therefore I am VERY grateful to those people who actually did take time out to film, take photos and edit videos. No matter what the quality of the Jam videos are, it is still good memories from a fantastic weekend. Even if you don't appreciate them I'm sure those who attended will find enjoyment in looking back on them.

  18. Finally got round to putting up my report for the January North Wales Trials Jam. Thank you to everyone who sent me pictures and videos to use in order to give a more complete impression of the weekend. So many people have been pestering me for this update since the event that I gave up with the written report side of things in order to get it up online. Therefore it's very limited and a lot has been missed out - sorry! Enjoy s l o w p r o g r e s s . c o . u k and click on NEWS
  19. Of course you have a venue for the party next time!! When over 100 people are in your house at one time there is bound to be crazy stuff going on, it's just a given. You know it's a good party too when most people arrive at 1:30am!! EDIT: I have about 80 photos and my personal account of the weekend to share so keep checking the website for an update over the next couple of days!
  20. Good idea Adam, PIC: BIKE: Red Saracen 2005 If you want to come to the party at my house afterwards you're all welcome, make sure to come and ask me for a map to get to my house! Can't wait, see you all there Matt Barlow
  21. Of course! Can't wait should be superb! Beer and food very much appreciated :D The house is going to be packed out for the party! How about the street ride starts no earlier than 12 and we all go for a greasy full English at "Mikes Bites" in the morning?? (Obviously I'll have yoghurt and fruit after my 7am 12 mile run in accordance with my strict training regime). Tim, if you can finish the "Greedy Bast$%d" (the biggest on the menu) on your own it's on me!! Matt
  22. Sounds like a good idea, mind if the Bangor locals join you? That YH isn't that far so you could easily get back there after the party. My house is in Bangor itself if that makes any difference to peoples plans on where to stay. (Bangor isn't too far from Llandudno itself) How many of you will there be total including the Preston lads?
