  1. What airlines have you been on that have hand luggage restrictions big enough to fit a frame in?!
  2. Basically you have one track playing over the speakers and you listen to the new track in headphones. Number one first step is to change the speed of the new track to match the track you’re playing. The song will have different sections, eg chorus and verse, and you want to get the different sections starting at the same time. Poopipe explained this bit. Tracks tend to simplify at the end so if you start the new track towards the end of the first track then it will blend better. Computer software tends to have auto beat matching which gets the speed the same and matches the beats together so pretty much does it all for you, which is probably the best spot to start at. It’s not proper mixing but it’s good to learn on to get the basics. There’s lots of free trial software available so just download some of those and see which you like best. It will take a while of listening to music carefully to understand the structure to be able to fully mix tracks together smoothly, then to make it sound better you can pick tracks written in similar keys so the notes don’t clash, but music theory isn’t a quick or easy thing to learn…
  3. He can’t refuse you a refund! It could just be a faulty cable so worth a try. I’ve only used Reason so can’t help with software. What sort of music are you making?
  4. Yeah had a Snickers this afternoon, still about as usual. Not seen Lion bars as much. Opel fruits were years ago! The white chocolate didn’t quite go as well as expected with the Kit Kat Chunkys but were good. Not seen Curly Wurly’s for a while either!
  5. Walkers stopped the BBQ ones and replaced with BBQ rib, not as good they taste a bit sweet. Nice and spicy Nik Naks are good! Pickled onion Monster Munch are good too but tend to find that you get lots of crumbs stuck to your hand, anyone else find that..? How about Twiglets – are they crisps or what!?
  6. If she has doubts they'll still be there if you get back together, to resurface later on. It’s their way of trying to get what they want without feeling guilty. Doesn’t want to split up and then feel guilty for upsetting you, but wants to put some distance between you. Puts the idea out there without saying it, trying to get you to do the breaking up maybe. If you feel you're waiting for her it puts her in control. If she's calling all the shots she'll feel in control, so turn things round and say what YOU want! Don't pander to what she wants, tell her straight how you feel and what you want, and that you're not prepared to have her waste your time. Saying she thinks you should have fun out sounds like she wants you to meet other girls so then she won't feel guilty if she wanted to split up. Saying you're out too much - does she expect you to see her every day!? If you went round hers lots then she's say you're seeing her too much, they'll never be happy! Yep, and girls always think they're right!
  7. Worcester sauce flavour, I liked them too! They stopped making them last year because one of their suppliers had something harmful contaminate one of the ingredients, so they recalled the flavour. Can’t remember the details but it affected a number of different products that got recalled. I still ate the two packs I had at the time. Haven’t seen them for a while but their website has them listed so they must still be available http://walkers.corpex.com/cr15p5/trade/retail_range.asp#1 Under the standard crisps core range for large outlets - so get yourself to a large outlet! (Yes I’m bored!)
  8. I haven't used the wider rims so don't know how strong they are, but Mavic have been making rims for years and years longer than the new companies so I'd say they probably know what they're doing better. The 729 is stronger and wider than the 521/721 but its disc only, not as wide as the trials specific ones but its lighter.
  9. It only takes one slip. I hit my head on concrete in november and didn't know what day of the week it was, and that was with a helmet on. Last year a friend could have broken his neck if he wasn’t wearing a helmet, and last month another could have cracked the back of his head open. Not to sound like anyone’s parents saying what to do but its best just to wear a helmet as being brain damaged or dead doesn’t appeal to many people!
  10. I did mine last term on renewable energy, as meant could just chat b*llocks! Better than having to understand some hard topic. On a placement this term, which is worth half the year, had the presentation today just got the report to finish which will be around 5000words minimum so not massively long. Doing the placement means NO EXAMS!! A lot of my course (civil engineering) has been group work, we had the fourth year project in third year and that was a group of 11 civil, chemical and materials engineers designing a sewage works (oh the joy!!). Absolute pain, far harder having to work in a big group than doing your own thing! Would love another year of being a student though!
  11. Only half of it is on video. If you weren't there then how can you say he didn't deserve anything. Pushing Beau off his bike? Kicking someone who has a broken foot? We were all being reasonable he was the one kicking off and swearing, trying to insult everyone and then pushing and kicking people.
  12. If we all chip in we could order a few tons of manure and get it delivered to his shop. Keep the greenery fertilised nicely for a few years.
  13. Think my hall in first year said no bikes but had it at the end of my bed all year and they saw it in inspections and never complained. Second and third year was in this worse for wear house so didn't matter, landlord saw all three bikes didn't mind. In a newer hall this year and it said no bikes and I asked them they still said no bikes. For inspections I've just put one with wheels off in a big bike bag under the desk with the trials bike on top and covered it with clothes! If you aren't damaging it then shouldn't be a big problem, but be prepared to lose some of your deposit if you have. Landlords aren't allowed to come round and visit without notice but that doesn't mean much!
  14. Why pay a service charge so you can use a bench? Didn’t they know that you can sit on a bench without having to pay for it? “You’ll never be able to afford the clothes in my shop”, oh no so upsetting!!! What a put down line!
  15. Rather than getting titanium spokes and bolts to lose weight you’d be far better off spending the money on other parts, you’ll save far more weight getting a lighter BB than getting anything titanium. If you write down the weights of your parts and then look at other parts and compare then you’ll quickly see what the best options are.
