right so you might remember this http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....hl=design+level well, i now have a final design and if any of you are interested here are the cad models. i think i might have made a mistake somewhere as the rear end looks a bit too long, but the geo when finished should be. >1060WB >385+CS (horizontal dropouts) >72* head angle >+20 to +25 BB gonna start building it after half term hopefully
you should really use acid etch primer for aluminium otherwise the paint wont stick quite as well as steel because of the way aluminium oxidizes. someones about to tell me i'm wrong though, i can feel it...
maybe your frame is bent and your old wheel was dished to compensate for this? the new wheel may be dished centrally and therefore when the hub is in the dropouts square the rim is not central between the brake mounts if you see what i mean?
if you're using it to fill deep holes the car body filler will fall off, if you knock it, and look really shit because the paint will come off with it. Should be fine to use P38 or similar compound for minor dints and scratches though
i have one and theyre 100mmx5* so pretty standard geo to be honest. you can get alot of similar stems, the only nice thing about the zoo! is that its CNC'd which means its a bit stiffer and lighter and looks quite cool but the geo is the same as alot of the onza/pazaz stems etc
ok, im bored and chuck norris facts amuse me so if anyone knows any particularly good ones, post them here! please dont put links to pages or copy and paste loadsa crappy ones, just the very best, hand-picked Chuck Norris facts please!
surely proper heat treatment will sort this out? if its welded and then heat treated it should realign the grain? im probably talking shite but im sure an engineery type will sort me out
erm my mate had one on an XC bike, it was pretty pimp and noticeably quite light. the bearings were awesome too dunno how well its gonna stand upto trials but if tarty are selling them then im sure theyre fine
just because you're tall it does mean you necesarily need a long frame. im over 6ft and i much prefer shorter wheelbase bikes, i even found a short 04 echo pure longer than i like. im now on a monty 231, the old school one and i love the way it rides with a zoo stem (100mmx5*) and Monty bars. the bar and stem you use might make more of a difference than you realise!
thats a little harsh and then the chances are he'll come back with a new account or something and not be recognised as a blacklisted trader. being blacklisted is like a blatent warning not to trade with the person
