  1. Obviously it does flex a bit, but not compared to a slalom board. That's an amazing price too. I might buy one in the summer.
  2. They're actually pretty rad. They dont have any flex in them thouhg, so they're quite a rough ride. Definitely good fun though.
  3. It isn't too long. The actual truck-base is quite a bit shorter than the deck, so it should be reasonably responsive. I wouldn't go over £50 posted, tops.
  4. Might suit one fo you: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XSTV-skateboard-longboard-NR-excellent-condition_W0QQitemZ190369667377QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Sporting_Goods_Skateboarding_Skating_ET?hash=item2c52ea9931
  5. I'll give you a tenner for the deck.

Could you link me to a longboard that would be good for cruising along at a fast speed.. not down hill just going along the beach foot path (flat no hills)
  7. [quote name=Nick pyke ' date='07 February 2010 - 01:25 AM' timestamp='1265505457' post='2078048] So... im confused you (sam) said short ones are good for flat areas yeah ? so what are long boards good for ?
  8. You need to go out and have a cruise on a few boards before you make your mind up. I'd go for something shorter than that if you live in a flatish area. It will be a load more fun.
  9. Yeah. I have sliding gloves for proper slidey stuff stuff, but I normally stand-up-powerslide to slow down on hills. I dont know how my new board is going to be for sliding, because it's more of a pool board. The deck is nice and short, and the wheels are quite small, medium compound, and rounded, so that's cool. but I got some 1/4" risers on there with soft bushings, so it might be too carvey for proper sliding
  10. Foot braking, or slide. I try to avoid foot braking, because it's guaranteed shoe-rape. Street Luge racers glue strips of car tyres to the soles of their shoes for braking. They can smoke through them in one race! Sliding looks steezy if you got it dialled too.
  11. Holy shit, that's a big blue face!

  13. ...Not just the icons, but some of the less well known classics. Here are a couple I love: What's your thang? edit: inb4 scorpions - virgin killer...
  14. Dear Diary, JACKPOT! A real conversation ensued. I didn't once mention the fact she was naked, and it was definitely a real girl, because you could see her typing. In real life, this would not be a major achievment, but on chatroulette; this is one in a million!
  15. I AIN'T GONNA SLEEP TONIGHT, LADS!
  16. Although the board you posted up (revolver) has that longboard look, I've had a similar board before, and it wasn't great. The kicktail on a board that long is a joke, and it didn't ride very well at all. seriosuly, commuter boards should be short and fun, not massive barges that are a hassle to push around. Hills don't need to be quiet to have fun. Just don't fall off in front of cars.
