  1. if im being honest, it was on a bmx not a trials bike...nosepicking on the top of some sketchy ghetto ramp and the front wheel slipped out, put my foot out, it got caught inbetween two pallets and rolled my ankle round, making a lovely tendon-ripping crunchy sound
  2. doctor says fractured ankle and torn tendons...stings like a bitch but im pretty high on codeine so i dont mind too much
  3. because of the way the wedge tightens everything up, knocking the top of the steerer will push it in further theoretically. It might be best to try giving it just a couple of tiny taps, then try and push the forks back up to loosen the wedge, then pull the wedge out and the forks are free of the headset
  4. I absolutely love continental tyres, the tread patterns seem to be the perfect balance of grip and rolling resistance, and the construction seems awesome on all the continentals i've ever owned. I'm currently using a Continental Explorer 2.1 on the front of my stock and its less than half the weight of a dual ply maxxis high roller at 598g! also seems to perform better, loads of grip and the way the sidewalls fold is nicer on the continental, seems much more controlled. Never had a puncture in any continental tyre either, but when i used michelin world tours on my roady i had 4 or 5 in a year. this may just be luck but i doubt it. In cnclusion: Continental tyres are friggin' awesome

    Help

the bottom bracket is too short and the cranks/ freewheel are/is rubbing on the frame?
  6. Can't have a seat like that on a streety leeson, get a super slim roadie or xc saddle. Would be nice with front and rear ultimates, get some reverse vee pash forks from clive? and some plaz v-flies Got to keep it real with hope mono or xc hubs, none of this techno Pro2 rubbish! and build them up onto ceramic 521s
  7. ok, I'll explain this to you one more time: what i want *white rim *single wall *narrower front rim *32 hole!!! what you suggested *yellow, black or mirror finish *double wall heavy rim *39mm width *36 hole only but thanks for posting
  8. not as far as i'm aware but it might be quite a good way for Danny and Tom to pocket some cash. I reckon they'd be suprisingly popular.
  9. I used to live in Selsdon years ago, didnt realise there were any trials riders in the area. Didnt start riding until i moved to suffolk!
  10. It's your funeral Thought about this before (I have a post on it somewhere) The outcome was that they would be too long, would be flexy and would have poor longevity. However, the shortened version that muelio uses on here for mod would theoretically be under less stress and perform slightly better. I opted for a set of Echo controls in the end, they may not be as pimp but they're much stiffer and not a huge ammount heavier!
  11. read my signature I'd rather not do that though, might just buy a new hubshell...it's to go on the back of my stock, want to save some weight, i spoke about it before and now i'm going to give it a go. I know it's not going to be anywhere near as tough as a rear but i'll be careful on it and its for really streety stuff with reasonably high pressure (compared to what most of you use!)
  12. am i allowed to mix it up with a bit of bmx too?
  13. How pissed of would the Muslims be if you rode on the actual Mecca?!?
  14. That's taking the piss! Iis that like a disposable, single-use comp bike??!!? ...and that front hub is vlatently going to crack on the flanges pretty quickly!

    Ffw Dilema

    no, definitely not enough
  16. i might be at ipswich on the sunday if i can make a disc mount that works before the end of the week
  17. the title pretty much says it all...something like a try all style front rim in white would be cool, anything light and wide really! must be 36hole, which is where my problem starts!
  18. I don't reckon a pivotal will slam low enough, and it doesnt have the right diameter seat tube to use a bmx post
  19. i lubed and welded an acs up and rode with it for a year without a single skip when i was poor! so i'd say a well maintained acs is definitely better than a shitty deng freehub...(bring on the abuse!)
  20. that doesnt take much does it?!? but im not sure with that many ep's!
  21. this is pretty gutting...he was in a wheelchair recently wasnt he...he had a stroke or something? this is a real shame, a huge contributor to amerture cycling!
