I wish! If we had the equipment at school and if I could weld aluminium it would be but the truth is I can't weld for shit and our school is a biy pikey!
-I completely wrecked my ankle a few weeks ago, the fracture wasnt too bad but there was a lot of ligament damage and bleeding inside the leg. (there are photos of it somewhere) -My kneecap on my left leg is in 3 pieces. -Fractured right forearm at the same time I obliterated my knee -Broken collar bone and dislocated sholdure at the same time (that one really hurt) -2 clean breaks and 5 fractures between my elbow and wrist on my left arm after coming off a longboard on some gravel on the road. -Little finger got pulled between a rope and a block while I was sailing and is now distinctly 'S' shaped there are loads of others that I can't think of, might edit this when I remember them.
minimum geo: 1070, 380, +30 (this is how it's designedto run) maximum geo: 1095, 405,+30 (this is with the wheel all the way back in the dropouts) It's heavy, butit's not really to ride, it's just for the tech project!
Some of you may remember some cad models of a frame I was planning to make for my A2s a few months ago? Well, I actually went ahead and built it! it's not quite finished, but this gives you an idea of it. I'm going to get it sprayed and built up over easter. just finished spraying it and fitting the BB. what do you all think?! any comments would be cool
Pretty much what it says in the title! doubt anyone else will want to come at this notice, but I'll be out with Harry, Fyfey and that lot from about 6 oclock.
Good work. I got 90% of the parts sorted for mine, not going to start assembling it for a little while though, want to get my exams out of the way. post up pics in here of your progress everyone
add your names to the list: 1. The Poggster - mid kent 2. Alanareo - Mid Kent 3. Hendrix - South Hampshire (Once it's Built) 4.Sam Doman-Suffolk (will be built after exams ) 5.Mitch - South dorset/hampshire (built and ready to be ridden)
Right, I used to ride an 04 echo pure and monty 231, both of which had a shortish wheelbase and lowish BB. Now I ride a vario Styx and i really like the way it rides, the only problem is I find it really difficult to get up stuff on! I can gap further on it than my old bike and I feel really comfortable on the back wheel, but the highest obstacle I can get up to back wheel is now is little more than 30 inches. I dont know what it is? I'm running monty bars and a zoo stem (100x10) with 15mm of spacers. any suggestions on making the bike easier to get up things?
definitely, steel will be a lot easier! I'm using an old BMX frame as the donor frame for mine and a fat load of spare steel tubing. shouldnt be too dificult once you get a design and if you can weld or find someone to weld for you! I have enough steel to make the forks 6 foot long on mine!
Link to the Vario website I dont like the looks of it as much as the old one to be honest, but it's now has brake mounts under the seatstays and horizontal dropouts!
