my echo pure was uber shiny when i finished cleaning it up... I nitromorsed it, cleaned the nitromors off with meths and fine wire wool then spent about 10 hours with two tubes of autosol and lots of clean rag... came up like chrome in the end! I'll find a pic in a minute...

I ran almost exactly the same setup on my 231... I had an XTR lever, Avid ultimate arms, animal bikes kevlar linear slic cables (best ever cable...ever!) and crv pads on a medium sharp grind. best vee setup ever. Definitely go for the abikes cable!

That's completely wrong. gravity acts on all bodies of mass equally, pulling them towards the center of the earth at aprox 9.81 ms ^-2 You and the bike are being acted on by gravity equally.

Best mod tyre in the history of mod tyres! I used to have a pair and never got any pinches. Grip was immense too, especially in the wet.

If you fancy waiting til June I'll be selling my road bike for about £300. It's a custom built Orbea Enol with ITM carbon forks and hope mono lightweight hubs on mavic rims. It's really, really nice!

It's been done. Iolo did it, and i was thinking about it on some pashley forks, because i got to the left.

it's a 3/8" axle, my mate has one on the front of his bike. it is hollow, so you can use a normal skwer in them, but there is a 6mm thread cut into the inside of the axle so you can use these bolts. you may have stripped a bit of this thread out? r chewed the end of the hub or fork? you could try just using a qr skewer? or an allen key skewer? would do the job

The internals are identical, so if anyone sends me a hope xc hub shell I'll changhe the body over

too many the hub is finished, just needs a set of springs and pawls... but i don't have a mod anymore anyone want to buy it off me and test it out? £15 posted
