  1. I hear seatbelts and airbags are really heavy.
  2. if it's not too late I could use the mega scales in physics to weigh some carrier bags?
  3. I reckon it might do too, but the steel is pretty thick and the brazes are on the beefy side, so might be pleasently suprised! I'm thinking about riding it in Ipswich on Sunday to give it a test, it would be great if some people wanted to come and give it a hammering/evaluate it for me? I need to get some photos of other people riding it too for my coursework to say it's been tested! Only slight issue so far is rear tyre clearence, but I've kinda overcome it by sticking my front tyre on the back and the rear on the front meh, should be fine!
  4. "86 The Mayo" by the Slackers
  5. Nearly built up... just got to whack the cranks to get it running, test ride tomorow
  6. yeah, i'll get a picture from school tomorow. i made a 2D jig for the front triangle, then a separate one to hold the rear end in position while i brazed it... It will make sense when you seet he picture!
  7. The dropouts are 134.89 mm, not too bad i'd say and the head angle is 72 degrees. I made a jig, I'll get a photo of the jig tomorow if you want to see it?
  8. I'm taking it into school tomorow and buuilding it up... had a couple of problems fitting the headset at home as the headtube has warped ever so slightly at the bottom... Photos of it built tomorow!
  9. Dont get anything from deng that contains bearings.
  10. The front end doesn't look right to me...too many spacers?
  11. winstanleys are shit, i could wirite pages about how shit they are but i cant be arsed. just don't do it!
  12. I wont be riding it; it's only made from mild steel, I wanted to build it from T45 but decided it was a bit pricey for a school project I brazed it using some alloy brazing rods and an oxy-acetylene torch, the brazes needed a bit of cleaning up before it was sprayed but they weren't too rough! and it's a bottom bracket taxi'd from a steel XC frame, so the threads are all there, i melted the threads slightly on the drive side, so they needed chasing out. I'll get it built up tomorow and get some more photos of it as a complete bike
  13. This is the end result of my a level technology project. pretty pleased with it, thought i'd open it up to criticism on here! fire away!

    Habits!

When I get bored and fidgety, I just fiddel with stuff and click my sholdure in and out. I get really fidgety when I'm not doing something really active, I think it's because I have a super mega metabolism and need to be doing something to use up all my energy!
