  1. Local bike shop... pretty ok pay, get parts for trade price plus VAT and any old bits and bobs which are being thrown out for free! (always handy for inventing/bodging!)
  2. Nobody else reply to this... I really wouldn't bother!
  3. has it got any concave to it at all? is it supposed to be a skateboard for skateboarding or for cruising like a longboard.
  4. This might be a stupid idea, but there seem to be a lot of people on here with designing talent, good ideas and the ability to use CAD software... I propose anyone with an idea makes a CAD model of it and posts up a few screenshots on here. Then we can have a vote, see who's idea is the most inovative, thought out the best and makes best use of the cad software. It could be any component for a trials bike, or any bike really... the more imaginitive the better, but try to keep it realistic!
  5. didnt plaz experiment with a carbon rotor and rubber pads for comp use? might be dreaming that one though...
  6. link to them seem like a bad idea to me, but could they be a good way to save a few grams?
  7. swap a try all rim in really good condition and an uber nice fresh grind for that frame?
  8. I run an odyssey vandero on the front of my bmx with a peg and it's pretty awesome, light, stiff, strong and shiny.
  9. How does that ratio feel? yes
  10. what model is the hub? if it's sealed you'll have trouble, if it's unsealed it's really straight forward. does it have bearing cones and lock nuts? or are there just slide on spacers on top of cartridge bearings?
  11. i had an fsa platinum, 128mm axle on mine with a rear pro2, but that would give you more than enough clearance for ffw. too
  12. just take the edge off your rotor on a metal lathe? or if you aren't the engineery type get the angle grinder out.

  14. are stick-on plates legal?
  15. Thinking about it, the biggest gap i've ever done was on a bmx...
  16. Get good at something entertaining, there's money to be had busking!
  17. you don't need the spoke, you can lock it out with the range adjuster screws on a sora mech, keep screwing the outer-most screw in until your chain line is right and it will never move
  18. Disc brakes turn kinetic energy into heat, when you gap to front, think how much kinetic energy is being transfered into heat as the bike stops from acelerating hard to pretty much stationary in a fraction of a second... That's a lot of heat energy! this in turn heats up the water in the system causing it to expand and ruin your brake. Just don't do it pretty much!
  19. search/don't be an utter tard (stocks tend to be more gap-able)
  20. That cars got to be worth a few hundred quid as spares?!?
  21. best of the internet is for things like this
  22. smear slimy, gritty mud all over your rotor and ride along with the brake on lightly until all the mud has worn off the braking surface, repeat this a few times the clean it off with fresh water. Honestly the quickest, most effective way to make a shit brake amazing! edit: spelling
