  1. King? Pro2? or o you want a ffw setup? tarty bikes will sort you out with whatever it is you need. edit: spelling
  2. A sport can still be a sport without being competitive. A lot of people enjoy sport just for the fitness/social reasons. Trials is also about pushing your own limits and improving. I'd say it was a skill-oriented sport.
  3. Yeah, I rolled my ankle really serverely in febuary, ligament, muscle and bone damage. I was riding with one of the 661 supports after 6 weeks.
  4. I might come along on the bmx for a bit, as my trials bike isnt own here yet.
  5. yeah, the 661 pro is really good. you barely notice yo're wearing it an it stops your ankle re-f**king-up. Offers a hell of a lot of suport and is comfortable.

  7. single crown forks at 122mph... no thanks! you hit a bump and you've got no chance.
  8. I'm eating peanut butter out the jar with a spoon. It's Sun-Pat super smooth if that makes a difference?!
  9. If you bought it new, it will definitely be covered by the waranty. post it back to hope, might cost a bit from canada. eh.
  10. I'll join you in a campaign to get the short '04 echo pure relanched?!

  12. I got it, relaunch the 04 echo pure with disc mounts! the perfect frame! edit: actually: 04 echo pure geometry in 4130 with disc tabs! oooooh yeah
  13. That's fair enough, but i've never had any problems with landing on my chain, personally. It's crazy that BMXs are going in the opposite direction, using 38mm bearings with 22mm axles now! (they dont last long!) Nope, it cracked on the braze where the toptube joins the headtube, a combination of my poor brazing and gaps to front! What's wrong with 1 1/8" steerers? the actual steerer never snaps, it's where the legs are welded on. If you want a stronger joint there, something like the odyssey director forks (bmx forks) are really smart, take a look at a pair. It means theres a lot more are welded than on coventional forks. I really think someone should make a trials equivalent to a set of directors from 4130 with some hollow disc mounts like the dropouts... would be interesting, but expensive to prototype if theyre a failure. FSA already make 100mm bottom brackets, and the Vario Styx already has a 100mm bottom bracket shell. (I have one!)
  14. you'll need to mae sure your frame has some little threaded holes just infront of the dropouts so you can screw the bolts in for the cams to push against, otherwise you'll need to get the drill out and a set of taps (M5x1mm) and do it yourself. I strongly recomend the zhi snail cams, they do the job nicely and are chunky enough to take a fair bit of force, unlike the monty ones.
  15. -Frames made from 4130 or T45 instead of 6000/7000 series aluminium. steel frames feel a lot nicer to ride. -Definitely horizontal dropouts wth snail cams on 135mm. -More frames with internal headsets -Spanish bottom brackets would be quite cool, then you could run some ti profiles. -Some modern steel forks (not pashleys!) -Adjustable rear disc mounts to work with the horizontal dropouts. -Handlebars with lots of rise. -Shorter stems. I built my ideal frame last year, my idea of a perfect bike has changed since then though!
  16. What about having two stems, I could keep my long echo one for comps and have a short one for street?
  17. What kindof stem would suit a revell stock well? I'm running monty bars of that makes a difference. I want it to be nice and streety, but keep the ability to do techy 'real trials' stuff too. I haven't actually got a revell frame yet, just thinking about it...
  18. theres a bit of a bruise for you
  19. Woah! didnt realise this was going on... All I can say is sorry, because I sold a lot of parts at once I was obviously recieving lots of payments at the same time and I must have got a bit mixed up, how did you send the money? I promise this isn't deliberate, I haven't had a computer at home for a while and have been kindof busy so haven't had achance to get on here (I'm on my sisters laptop at the moment!) If you Pm me your address I'll get the bits posted asap. Sorry
  20. normally just some money in my pocket, hate having to haul a bag about with me! If I've driven to the ride i'll keep all my crap in the car and just go and get whatever I need I guess.
  21. just try adjusting the handlebar tilt a bit, makes a huge difference to how it feels on the back wheel.
  22. lighter fluid dissolves the adhesive, theen they pretty much fall off.
  23. I run dual BB7s on my stock, I got an '08 on the back and an '06 on the front, the older one beats the new one as far as caliper flex goes, but they're both pretty awesome. I got 203mm front and rear, but that would be overkill on a girls bike mod. 160mm would do fine. I run 2008 XTR levers, and they're lovely! Another really important consideration is a good cable, linear-slic bmx cables are best from my experience.
