  1. It looks like the jack flash around the seatstay/toptube/seat tube junction.
  2. it looks like it's on bearings, yeah. But if you're doing that, why not run a sprocket with teeth on bearings? then it would be easier to shift out of?
  3. Now you're running bearings dry. Bad times.
  4. it looks like this (see attatchment), I don't know what I've done. Didin't know what to search so I didn't. Sorry and Thankyou in advance.
  5. Can I come along? maybe not to compete, but just to see how it all works and stuff. I haven't been to a comp before
  6. It would be insanely cool to do a gainer on a trials bike, I reckon the physics of it would work too...
  7. So, did you make the booster yourself or have it made to yuor design? It looks good. How does it ride?
  8. "If Danny Mac can do it, so can I" Edit: oh, that was Danny mac woops! Awesome video, the riding was amazing throughout!
  9. No, I replaced mine with some from a plumbers shop thing near where I live and they did the job ok!
  10. Have you had it since new? ever replaced the seals?
  11. If you imagine your index (braking) finger lining up with the tip of the lever blade, all your fingers would be well clear of the tpa. This photo is misleading because he has taped his bars almost upto the lever, but you wouldn't ever normally have ypour hands that far along the bars.
  12. Thats a stock stem. His profile says he rides mod. edit: and ZOO! bars don't come in red any more? edit2: I'd recomend Echo low-riser bars, and an Echo Team stem for a tgs kindof feel, or a Monty stem with some Monty riser bars for a more 'bunny-hoppy' feel. The Monty bars coul always be sprayed red If you were desperate for that colour, or annodised for £10 or so
  13. The original was amazing, best lever I've ever owned, but it definitely wasn't perfect. the obvious issue was the seals, but another problem was the bigger cylinder which meant you had to set the pas closer to the rim. This meant a much higher chance of rubbing, dont know if its worth it for an extra 8% mechanical advantage.
  14. The RB came first, the echo copied it?
  15. Surely that should be a warning? edit:
  16. I mean the Echo lever is an obvious RB knock-off, but it looks very close to this. Maybe the echo lever is copying this?
  17. I think it's suspiciously similar to the new echo one with the aluminium clamp?
  18. Don't think this has been poste before, looks pretty swish. $150 Canadian
  19. is that a leeson carbon saddle, george? You'll have to let me have a rie when I come home...
  20. The quality of the bearings used in deng headsets seem to vary. They're all cheap chinese-made units, but from what I've seen, there are some good and bad batches (perhaps?) The old Echo headsets (I'm talking 3-4 years ago maybe) were uniformly shite. However, although there have definitely been some really poor deng headsets recently too, a few people I know run them now with no problems whatsoever. I think whether you get a good one or not is pretty much luck of the draw. Personally, I just bought a Ritchey WCS headset from chainreaction for £29.99, reduce from £52 I believe. Looks like a nice unit, and I've never experienced problems with Ritchey headsets in the past. Without a doubt, the best headset I have ever used is a hope. I bought it new in 2004 for my xc bike. It never needed servicing and was still in perfect condition when I sold it last year. I think it must have been fitted in 7 frames in that period, including two bmxs and 3 trials bikes.
  21. like the biggest ride ipswich has ever seen?! use this topic to find a good date for everyone, then we can make a thread in ries/locations. See if we can get a proper big turn-out.
  22. Does anyone know what version/remix of Body Movin' he used for this film?
