  1. frame might be too long on the tt. are you using riser bars or drop bars? Get a frame that fits properly and use proper bars to suit said frame.
  2. Why did you remove the bridge?
  3. This was my Deluxe XL: Don't ride BMX or trials any more, knees are past that. Shame though, because I loved riding trails in the summer/autumn and digging in the winter. Might go back to it one day. I've done some custom paint jobs for some friends bikes too. This one's probably my favourite: Shit photos, but it's supposed to be a 'pixelated fade'. Took hours with a razor blade and masking tape!
  4. As I got rid of my TT rig, I need to make my Lo-Pro faster for this year... So these bits are being replaced with more aero bits: Non-machined, black Velocity Deep-V, radially laced to a black Planet-X pista front hub (100mm)with 32 double-butted, black spokes. £60 or £75 with continental tyre and tube OR Pair of non-machined, black Velocity Deep -V rims, rear 3 cross, front radial, each with 32 black double-butted spokes to black Planet-X pista hubs(100mm/120mm). Including 15 tooth track sprocket and Gusset lockring. £140 or £160 with continental tyres and tubes The wheels are in very good condition, bar a tiny scratch on the front rim where someone leant a pedal against it on the train. They were only built up a few hundred miles ago, and are well looked after. The sealed bearings are silky-smooth, and they will be trued before the sale (spokes are nicely bedded in now too, so they should stay true for a good while). I'm an experienced, ex-professional bike mechanic and wheel-builder, so you know they'll be sweet! before anyone asks: I don't want to sell the rear on it's own, as it would be a useful wheel for rollers or training, and I have spare fronts floating about already. Neither wheel has been braked on. Poyner, handmade, lugged track forks with nice tyre clearance (700x25c is the absolute limit), and proper, tight track geo. They have been drilled to accept a brake by the precious owner. Nice red paint work, with black fork-ends. The steerer is 4 3/4" long, so they would suit a Lo-Pro with a 700c front wheel, or a small track bike. £35 Identiti T-4, 27.2mm dia, 350mm long, inline seatpost, in Black. A few insertion marks upto about an inch above the min-insertion line, so you won't see them once it's in the frame, unless you have it at full extension (and it's very long, so you probably won't!) £12 All the parts are on this bike All prices include postage from Suffolk. Additional fees will apply if you want anything shipped abroad.
  5. Actually, a lot of carbon fibre moldings are done using vacuum bags, which is a lot like a ballon. These frame components would have been done in closed molds though.
  6. The geometry would be fine with 700c wheels.
  7. Thanks. They're 42cm Cinelli Tempo pursuit bars. I've actually got a spare set in mint condition, if anyone wants to buy them for £40? They're 26.4mm clamp though, so you'll need an old Cinelli stem to use them.
  8. I have some brand new 15 tooth sprockets, and lockrings too, if anyone wants them for £15 a set? (or £10 per sprocket and £7 poer lockring) Good quality (proper track sprockets and gusset lockrings) too, not shitty ones. This is how my bike stands at the moment: I think I've finally found my perfect setup.
  9. I'm a big fan of gaerne shoes with looks' for proper riding, as they fit my feet better than most, and the higher-end look pedals are pretty plush. However, on my fixed/everyday bike (the one posted further up this page), I use a pair of Shimano RT51s with titanium eggbeaters, as I can walk around in them without trashing the cleats, and I love the crank brothers pedals for ease of use and the way they feel. I think they suit the bike pretty well aesthetically too.
  10. I'll be 31 in ten years. Next summer, I'll be launching my career as a professional crew/boatbuilder in the med. Possibly on a 23m gaff cutter, based in Barcelona.
  11. Been out for a ride today, for the first time in ages. Feel so unfit, but feels good getting back on a bike and doing some miles.
  12. Yep. Unmachined Deep Vs.
  13. Do you realise ow difficult it is to make graphine?
  14. Well, I like mine. It's personal preference at the end of the day, I guess. Edit: The thickness probably doesn't bother me as much because I've not got any brake or gear levers to fiddle with. Just a case of holding onto the bars. They're quite nice for that.
  15. [/thread] there's bound to be somewhere online with sensible sizes in stock.
  16. Phone your bank and credit card provider first thing on Monday morning. Explain the email to them and ask if your card has been used. Because it's the weekend, it might not appear on your online account until Monday.
  17. Mine too. I'm just waiting for my cranks in the post (it has proper pursuit bars, not risers. these were just for while I was building it)...
