The other side to this site: I've had a really interesting chat with a brazilian girl for about an hour, an italian guy for about an hour, and a japanese girl for about 90 minutes this afternoon. Genuinely interesting conversations. It was a bit weird.

I'd say 15-20% of the people on there are girls. Most of them really appreciate someone to talk to who isn't trying to get them naked too. I guess that bit's like real life.

The snow and wind brought a tree down in our village across the road into town. It was a 60ft oak, and it fell about 50 metres from our house. The main trunk of the tree was straight across the whole road: Anyone with a 4x4 drove through the field, and around the tree, but most people had to turn around and go back: It was a pretty hefty piece of timber! It took 4 of us with 3 chainsaws and a tractor most of the day to get it cleared and logged: The chickens weren't too sure:

There's about a foot of snow here. I live in the middle of nowhere, and a tree has fallen across the road outside our house, so we're out there with a chainsaw at the moment. It's a massive oak. I'll get some pictures in a minute. I was in town last night and had to stay at a friends house because the roads were impassable. We went to the pub and were out in the snow til about 1am. absolutely soaked trainers and jeans. It's litteraly the best snow I've seen since I've lived in Suffolk. We made the obligatory 6ft snow penis too.

Not a challenge. That's barely half a days riding.

There's a making-of video somewhere. They actually drop into the slope, apparently, but there were nets or a line or something to catch them before they started rolling.

It's hard to tell, but it was snowing when I took this photo at sunrise yesterday, and you can see the slightly white patches on the field.

I used to find it dried up really quickly at my old house. A stick would last about a month, but since I've lived where I am now, I've had one stick for about 6 months and it's still fine. I'm probably playing my guitars more than ever too. Must just be the humidity in the building or something.

I used to work nights in tesco, and they used throw away everything from the bakery, because nobody came into our store after midnight really. Such a waste. Not allowed to give it to staff either apparently.
