Roast chicken. Sorry, I've learned that photons don't have a mass: it makes sense plus the oxford dictionary says it has no mass so I must be right . Allah would know yeah, it's true. edit: What? Some Galaxies have been proven to be travelling at several times the speed of light? How the f**k did they do that then? And yeah, laser light is differnent from normal light, it's monochromatic and coherent for a start not to mention being easily directable and precise, can't imagine the nobel prize winners of '97 shine a light bulb at a cloud of rubidium particles all day. I know there are different weays of cooling atoms but I was referring to creating a optical molasses not by creating a bose-einstein condensate with a magnetic trap. Oh yeah, I'm not a science geek don't worry I just had to give a huge presentation (1year of prep) about laser cooling and there rarely comes a chance when you can actually fry people at a subject usually only spoken of by nobel prize winners and nerds.

Yeah, rowly is right, fact. There is no way to quantify or measure something without there being a contrast with another "known" or quantified thing which is in turn measured/quantified with an imaginary known (a metre for example). Er..about the polo going 120+mph, I don't see how that compares to light and the speed of light and light's max speed. Light travels at the fastest speed known to man. That speed, incidently, has been proven to be the "ultimate" speed...after that your mass becomes infinite and god knows what happens (E=MC^2 bitches), ever heard of something going faster than the speed of light other than in star wars? or anything else that travels the speed of light for that matter? Thought not. I Have seen the proven facts, I personaly didn't understand all of it but I'll take Einstein's word for it . It has been agreed among the boffins of physics that a photon (light when under a particle form for the younger of you) has no mass. "Why, in that case, can a photon move an atom during the process of laser cooling then?" I hear you ask (or not) - In that case Radiation pressure plays a part but thats damn complicated. Yeah so as someone said, after a certain point in physics everything you know as being true suddenly isn't and there'e an obscure and absurd explanation for everything. Im sure that even the likes of Stephen hawking will admit that much of what they know about our universe is merely based on educated guesses.

What? You got a 160 caliper and trying to make it work with a 200mm rotor? Don't really get it, a pic would be good.
-
Yeah, if your master piston is moving and there is no leak (although the pads would move a bit unless you had a big mother f*cker of a leak) then there's air in the brake, bleed it properly.
-
Yeah, it's all true. You won't have made your bike 1.2Kg heavier because of factors like evaporation, particle dispersion, propellant weight (as said before) and paint density (whose "weight" is relative to it's volumic mass, not viscosity btw). I'd estimate about 500g max more weight added.
-
Don't throw a bike out just for the sake of it! What's wrong with it? My guess is nothing...in that case keep it 'till the frame dies, a new bike is not going to make your ride better. My pitbull is 2.5 years old now, it's fine and I like it. If it's your parents money, they decide wether or not you get a new one, if it's your money do whatever the hell you want.

Hahahaha ^^^^ I'm still curious though. Some people have said that using a splitter will make both pistons move in sync buuuut hasn't explained why. Now it'd be good if someone really smart corrected me if I'm wrong but I don't think they should move anymore in sync than if you used a crossover, the oil/water doesn't get to one piston before the other -the liquid used is not compressible therefore should press on both pistons at once in a well bled system. I know this is rarely the case but I think the guy who said it was a matter of friction difference between the two slaves was onto a winner.

Yeah, I have to say the same unfortunately, the 04/05 Echo rims (the ones with the CNC rectangles taken out)were f**king awesome to be frank and lasted for ever and the grinds lasted a long time compared to try-alls. So I thought I'd buy a new rear rim after 1.5years of reliable rim but it was shit and I mean sub V!Z rims shit but the grinds were good though.

Lol Anyway, yeah haven't spent more than 6 months or so off my bike in one go within the last 3 years and even that was because of injury and to be honest I had lost quite a bit of height and A LOT of control but that comes back after a while, I'm sure it's a similar case for 2 years maybe, I mean the first week you suck and than it really picks up again.

BAM! 1 person other than me wowza .. not very inspiring for riding. I've actually never ridden with more than 3 other riders...ever Someone invite me to a english (make that british) group ride pretty please?

-
Now I'm no Magura whizz but if I know my physics the pressure should in theory be the same in the whole brake whether it be the left slave piston or the right slave piston (BUT yes I know they don't ever both seem to move equally fast or far) but yeah thoretically the pressure inside the system should be equal. And I just don't see how you can get "more power" using a splitter rather than your average crossover, you're pressing equally hard on the lever, the master and slave pistons are the same, oil/water does not compress (significantly) so yeah, you won't get more power. Now if I am right there must be another reason for there being a splitter like the monty one but for the moment (other than aesthetically) I can't see what difference it would make. Edit: And what is this talk of braided hosing being less spongy? Bullshit! Neither one of the hoses expand enough for you to feel it especially not under the puny pressures crated by our index fingers! And as far as I've noticed (yes I've had both) the stuff makes no difference other than the braided hosing is more expensive, more durable, better looking and has better fittings.

God this thread was entertaining! Actally missed watching the telly for this...amazing eh? Anyway lol at the people E-fighting cos you just can't beat a T-F argument™ ! Sooo anyway when is her 18th? And be sure to tell us what you get her / where you go and her reaction cos I need ideas aswell basically.
-
Dani. Great huh seeing as my real name is Daniel oh and I sometimes get "danny the dog" aswell...lucky me. Oh and to the guy that had boob as one of his nicknames....sweet! wish that was my nickname
-
Wow all gays... I would what's wrong with you guys? her nose looks normal in that picture. And what's wrong with her stomach?? better than a f*cking stick insect IMO.
-
Hah, not bad! I rule you mofos but wtf how is the swedish internet connexion so f*cking fast?
-
Lol funny ^^^ As for me I dunno I don't really have an opinion but he does come off a bit strange what with having a pretty good knowledge of bomb-making and potato guns... Maybe people shouldn't make threads just to bum somone for no reason, seems silly. Oh and also makes you look like a kiss-ass.

Yeah, respect for the high sidehops and all, but you lose your coolness by writing the heigh in bold. As said before I don't see the point in making a teaser video unless it's a DVD but I suppose it was quite cool anyway. Oh yeah my bad, not a trailer I read the other comments and got mislead, sorry.
-
I don't think it's cheaper than over in the UK, I order from Tartybikes even though the postage is way more expensive when my stuff goes international. There are quite a few places like peppl.com, BMtech (f*cking bullshit artists), esprittrial, etc that sell for pretty much the same prices as in england so I wouldn't waste my time if I were you. Oh yeah, the warehouses are either around Paris, one in the Vosges somewhere or down south (one in Montauban).

Don't think so, should have bought a disk hub. There are some dodgy fork adapters out there but I wouldn't trust one - certainly not for trials.
-
Obviously a mod wheel would be stronger axially, because the longer radius would allow more leverage over the hub thus 26" wheels should get knocked out of true easier/more often. But radially I can't see what difference the spoke lenght would make (assuming the spokes are perfectly straight).
-
This is quite common, you just need to lube the caliper pistons and it'll be fine.
-
I don't really see what there is to debate about. Frankly, on/offs look shit and demand less skill than holding it BUT if you can on/off a wall the you're pretty damn close to holding it on there anyway (unless the top is sloped) so why not just wait untill you can make it properly before putting it in a video?
