  1. cool! then i'll give it a try. thanks for answering
  2. Hey! those of you that experimented with brakeless trials for a bit, and went back to brakes, did you find out it helped your braked ride, as in you became more economical with your energy by using less the brakes and using your body movement to put the weight just in the right spot, or did you find that brakeless needs another type of body language that is deviant to normal trials and you had to readjust to braked trials? thanks!
  3. seems that the sl and tr freewheels are coming this week. is it worth the double price of the sl over the tr? i didn't hear anything bad about the tr, and i don't mind the fewer engagement points since i do street-trials so i wouldn't like too much drag from the extra engagement points EDIT: i just realised i posted this in "media". sorry about that! please move ...
  4. thanks for all the answers! about the last post, i did have a tensile, and lasted about 1 year. it skipped hard a few times, one spring has broken and two pawls are in usable shape (they're tip has chipped off). a local dealer has the echo tr at a fairly good price (around 26gbp), but not on stock atm. i guess i can wait.. otherwise, i can get a rockman 72 click for 20gbp, but each post i read about these said they skipped quite a lot...
  5. acs freewheels are cheap. how are they in terms of durability/skippage? thanks! (i tried looking for this both here and on otn, but with no success)
  6. hey! would you recommend putting the freewheel on the front or on the back of street-trials 24" bikes (and why) ? what's your take? thanks a lot!
  7. i waited 4 weeks with express shipping, and he returned the difference between the long and express shipping. a friend had to wait 2 months or so recently because the frame stopped in germany (on the way to romania) and was sent back to peru, then again to romania (also express shipping) ship happens..

    Tra Slowly

i'm still eagerly waiting for that 24" vid...
  9. nice bike! what fork is that? where could i find some instrsuctions on how to do one of those spoke tensioners?

    Echo 24"

nice clean look! (i would change the saddle, but whatever)
  11. hey, great looking bike! could you post some pics of the dropout system? looks like something different.. (i'm having some trouble with the horizontal mounts on my marino) thanks!
  12. hey, all ! does anyone know any shin guards that look good? i like the "whole sock" kind. i'm guessing they don't need to be bike-specific... (i know i could just ride without them, but i feel safer when using some) thanks!
  13. it's written in the description
  14. yes, it is (utter crap that is). i actually wrote this somewhere on this forum. i think i was the first one to ask for this, after seeing some bmx frame that had a similar design, but it didn't work out at all. i ended up a Gusset chain tug that seems to do it's job, but if i were to make another order, i'd probably go with vertical dropouts.
  15. first post said they are UCI legal. do they enter as a stock?
  16. this would be way slick if you would lose the perv saddle and the derailleur
  17. pretty cool bike! nice riding as well! too bad those reverse tugs won't work, i know from personal experience... any geo on that?
  18. Houdy! i have a 24". going around town sucks with the trials ratio, but having a dérailleur also sucks. i am still waiting for some company to make a 2-geard hub / freewheel made for abuse! i know about the Hammerschmidt, but the price tag is ludicrous. you could also use a tensioner that can be (sort of) easily moved from one cog to another, but this brutally separates the trials part of the ride from the commuting part, which takes away from the whole idea of a street-trials bike. anyway, i think you all know what i am talking about, i was just wondering if some new product came along or anybody came up with a brilliant idea for this purpose, that we all missed.
  19. Hi! i just had a stupid dream where i was riding street-trials using a derby hat as a helmet, and when i woke up, i searched for such a thing, and voila: http://www.equestriancollections.com/produ...oupcode=TX03531 might be fun (although i don't know about ventilation on these suckers...)
  20. i'm pretty sure marino could make the frame that you want. or any other custom builder ..
  21. i liked your vid! great moves! too bad you didn't merge them with some trials moves as well but anyway, still great. too bad so many people take it seriously... anyway, about your bmx-trials 20" hybrid idea, check out this thread
