I'm going to have maggie mounts and a heatsink vees adapter.. This is so i always can adjust so that the vees calipers hit the rim at 90* I have the choice of alloy bolts, or steel.. think im going with steel They are not flat! Its a very small rise, but all the angles are like a normal riserbar.
-
Thanks for the tip! I have always used copperpaste on alloy and ti bolts Will certainly do now.

Hey Well, i have gained 20kgs's over the couple of years, so decided to make a good vid from me riding while fat. Altough, i never take with me my cam while riding. So i scrapped that plan.. Now its no more time for me to make a vid, so im just posting some clips from me gapping. Stormann = Bigman in norwegian. Enjoi [media=]

The frame will be blasted, with polished logo. Soo it will be grey.. I won't hide away the beautifull Ti..I'm considering just having it raw aswell. im really not sure!

The bar angle is perfect when standing on the rearwheel. NOT while rolling, or taps/pedalups. It's not directly harmfull to your wrists.. But i certainly feel the difference in the end of the day. I keep mine in an angle inbetween his bar angle, and zero. Works for mine wrists.

26" It's going to have alittlebit "oldschool" geo. 25+ bb 380CS 1080WB 72HA So it will be okey for rolling stuff, manuals and to a little degree, some street. It's mainly just going to be a feelgood bike, with all the parts i have wanted since i started riding trials . Almost all bolts are TI or alloy. This dosn't make me ride better, it just make me more satisfied with the bike.Makes a nice quality touch to it, make me want to ride it even more. Middleburn Rs7 175mm ( HARD to come by these days. Thanks to Matt Vandart for getting me these!!) TNN 18t Bashringcog Echo SL alloy crankbolts Echo Cage pedals with TI axle and bolts Trialtech Lite bottombracket

Jeap, utterly poitless thread. The ceramic pads will tolerate more heat than a normal pad. But the biting is also much better compared to standard and heavy duty pads..Its just a test as i have never tried anything else than original pads before. And these pads seem to be the best pads out there Its only a Fork with a brake and a wheel, have not built the bike yet! therefor only a brakecheck thread instead of bikecheck i will take pix of the goodridge wire when i get the bike built up

Hi I'm waiting for my frame, but its never coming.. Spec: BB7 caliper, Ti bolts clamping the caliper together and for clamping the wire. Aztec Wave 200mm Disc with Hope TI bolts Brake Authority Ceramic brakepads Ti bolts on all of the brake mounts. Avid Ultimate Brake Lever. Goodridge wire and housing. Its a Weld-One.. http://www.weld-one.com/index.html

TRA with discs rear.. hmm, when does this frame come out in the shops? Want one soo badly!
-
Had one several years ago.. Similar spec to yours, but didnt really get the hang of DH riding. So bought a freeride/all mountain bike, and rode MUTCH faster with that.. I blame it on tha crappy 24" rearwheel...
-
Love it! He looks better on 24" than on 20"
-
My car atm. Shitbox with a welded diff = many hours og abusing going to change to a thick oil in the shock absorbers, get some lowprofile 13" tyres, lower it at the rear, put on one more set of leaf springs, heat up the lowring springs i got on the front to make it 20-30mm lower, make a skidplate and give it a rat look.
-
Just got this from tartybikes... This is what you mean right? sorry for bad pic..
-
What do you mean by 4 groups and 2 groups? The hope wheel is laced by me, and the TR wheel by Echo..
-
All the wheels i have is laced the same way, i guess it isnt possible to lace it the way you want. You would need two different length on the spokes atleast. I think there might be true what your saying, but i think there will be very little diffrences.
-
looks fun bigbetty rear tyre, and maybe some Ultimate levers too? then it will be pretty much the perfect TGS 24"

But ALL trials riders have owned a Magura rim brake. They are very rare on Xc bike. I have seen a few on some touring bikes, my guess is that most of the maguras are to be found on trials bikes. I've worked somthing like 5 years in a bike shop.. In that time i think i have bled one Hs11, and changed one that was broken..Not really common.
-
Do anyone know if the pistons in the 11 maguras are smaller than previous? All of them are just as bad.. but if i had to pick, i would have a 04, just because they don't break and kill me. The 04's had their TPA issues, but where easy to fix, and when fixed, they are better than original. The 05's cracks, and it doesn't take that much force to break them in a fall. Plastic TPA which wears out. The 11's seem to hold up pretty well. Altough i have heard of people braking them from normal use and falls. Also some parts can break on these too. Don't clearly remember, but think it was the pin that push the piston who broke. I have tred to bleed one too. Simple in theory, but its impossible to get the feel that 04's and 05's have. Squishy nasty feel on them Imho, Vees is the only way to go
-
Whats up with the front wheel? Looks like its laced up by a 4 year old. Could be pictures tough.. Probably rides alot better than it looks.
-
I dont care about his forks.. i care abouth the physics involved here, and i think that this might be something to consider when tightening your headset. Because i'm a heavy rider. I weight 220lbs, and i have used Neon snap happy forks for some time now without problems. Hooks and up to front alot .. Altough, my friend who is somthing like 160lbs, he broke his neon fork in no time.. Why is this then? We ride on the same stuff, ride just as much? but he's alot smaller than me, and breaks more forks The guy with the broken SL's boorowed a fork from me until he got a new one. I'm not going to buy new parts if something breaks just after i help somone with their bike.
-
Yeah, thats probably true.. but what about over time? Its a quite big torque difference on a SL headset from "tight" until it doesent roll properly. If you just tighten the headset bolt as much as possible, and not just as much as needed, my guess is that the steerertube would have several 100kg's more tension than you need.
-
I'm offcourse not talking about pulling the steerertube out by tightening the headset too much.. I talk about the pullingforce the bolt makes on the steerertube. this force, will in my eyes give the steerertube more stress and a crack will occur much faster if the headset is tightned excessive.. Just think about whats the factors here, and not just think that a SL fork cracks anyways..
