  1. Tra's bike feels amazing. Avid code brake with Clarks brakepads, on a old type 200mm shimano rotor. ( XT or something) Holds good, good bite and some modulation.. More than a equal good hs33 atleast. Wouldn't use it on a normal trials bike though, spoke is waay to flexy. Would annoy the shit out of me when sidehopping or doing some precision stuff. Had 200mm bb7 some years ago. Hit the disc one while i bailed on some natty rocks. Did never hit it on street, eventough i sidehop to the right
  2. Echo TI caged pedals - 50g tryall Karbon fork - Atleast 200g, max 350g Cut off every second nob on you rear tyre on the side you sidehop, and every nob on the other side. - 50g Sandblast frame, stem, cranks, brakes - 100g
  3. Guess you have alot of good riding spots in sweden... Altough, my city is pretty good to ride in. Ålesund, the birth city of TRA
  4. Thanks guys! Really gives me inspiration that people give positive feedback on these small clips Joakin: I will try to make more vids with bigger stuff
  5. Ah well, you allready said that pressure is a part of the eqation. The pressure will be higher when the surface is smaller. Its that easy. We learned this in 3rd grade or somthing. If a woman walks over a field with high heels, the heels will go down into the ground. But an elephant can walk over the field easily. This meens: Smaller surface = higher pressure.
  6. Wow, that new monty tyre looks amazing! Makes me want a mod, just so i can run that tyre
  7. Tritons are made of 4Al - l,5Mn. (atleast now when they started up building bikes again)
  8. Thats just stupid.. So you meen that a pad with the size of a pinhead brakes just as well as a normal trials pad if the compound is the same? The friction will change when the surface is smaller, due to higher pressure per cm^2 (or whatever measurment you would use) As mentioned in this thread before, its a balance.
  9. Can't wait to polish it, put some oldschool but good brakes on, and riding it abit
  10. Yeah, i bought a used this bike that had the steerer cut on the lower bolt... He used this for atleast one year, and he wasn't exactly riding smooth. Soo i think it's okay if the steerer tube is cut just above the top bolt That leaves some room for adjustment with this spacer.
  11. Or you can't really dial your bike in properly.. Often its 3mm of spacers thats the difference from a good rinding bike and a ok riding bike.. Or your topcap does just not tension the headset. Then you could just turn the spacer from 11mm to 12mm, and then you have enough tension I will order one or two of these
  12. Saw leech ride a Koxx Xtp in some movie i think. Changed his style completely, and did "big stuff".
  13. Ryan Leech still gives me alot of inspiration. Im just so annoyed by all this backwheel hopping and correctionhops everywhere. Everytime a trials rider is going up a 10" wall, they stand and hold their balance by correction hops, and then goes all pogo and backwheel hops onto the ledge..Why not use zap tap, or "batman" (Putting your frontwheel on the obstacle and go straight up to backwheel from two wheels) All of the easy stuff i do when riding, i try to do manifesto. Just because its fun and i hate all this hopping. offcourse, i do correctionhops, and rearwheel hops. But only when nessesairy Ontopic: TRA is doing gerat with his sponsors. He is also appering alot on norwegian tv. So he's earning good money.
  14. Have you had a puncture? Do your frame have horizontal dropouts? It doesnt take much movement sidewaya to get a crap brake... itha TR rim holds grinds well imo..
  15. Vees are great when adjusted properly. Just get some good pads and a good grind Lube the housing and wire good too, and adjust the springs on the calipers so that the brake will have a smoother feel.
  16. Just kidding! This lovly baby! My first trials bike, belived to be TRA's first trials bike aswell.. atleast It's a 50% chance it is TRA on the beast: [media=]

  18. OUH, thats now my dream pedal! Holy batman, thats luvly My frame will have no special features like internal routing. i like it simple! Whats the problem with internal routing? Guess its a bitch to get the cables trough..have internal on my XC bike. I cant bother to use them, just use zipties and put then under the toptube Its going to have horizontal dropouts with screws to tension the chain..that the only special thing. I love syntace.. the trials frame they made is still one of the most amazing frames i have ever seen! Would love to have one soo much..there is one somwhere in a garage in norway, not beeing used.. but i dont know who has it. my logos will just be polished Going to look good. Altough, right now i want it totally raw. With discolouration around the welds and everything. yeah, i love the burns thanks to you, the bike have good cranks, and no tryall/rockman shite Bought myself a new bike today aswell! Met a old mate in the supermarket, and he offered me to buy my old bike.. My first trials bike ever! Will post pics tonight.
  19. they where on sale, And as the topic says: " Building my dreambike" It's not going to be cheap
  20. Why? They are SOO much stiffer than a Trialtech Forged stem with a carbon handlebar, or even a good alloy bar! Offcourse, this is not important since the Ti frame will flex more, but it feels alot better on alloy frames then a normal stem and handlebar combo! Now that Trialtech have given out a carbon handlebar.. i might change it if i have the extra funds to waste one day
  21. I'm going to change them because of the axle seem to break avter a while..altough, i have used them for atleast 3 monts! Looks like i'm lucky then Fortehs frame is shotblasted with glass or beads i think! And not painted Would love it in raw..but i feel it will be a 2500£ ghetto bike then
  22. The stem is normal size, and then it got clamps wich "rise" the bar 35mm.. Here is a pic of the bar aswell.. i dunno what you call them, but looks like rise to me This stem/handlebar setup have the same "rise" as my Trialtech Highrise stem and Rockman Karbon handlebar. Measuring from the tip of the handlebar when the stem is put flat on the ground. Can't just throw away a new headset! I have never had any problems with headsets, i will give it a shoot.. but i expect it to fail eventually.. I don't bother to build myself.. I get the wheels straight, both up/down and sideways.. but my impression is that TartyBikes wheels last me MUCH longer.. Guess i tension some spokes more than others, and this makes the wheels fail.. yeah, i have used the caliper before.. My toughts are exactly the same.. the grey ones are much better! But i will give it a shoot. Abit flex have never hurt anyone
  23. Thanks guys! I'm quite big yeah, but im doing stuff i have never done before when i was thin! I guess the extra weight is not only fat.. Will post a proper vid when i come home from work again
  24. Its a riser. Its no problems anyways. Its got alittle upsweep, and 8* backsweep. Its not nessesairy with rise as the clamps gives alot rise
