Hehe, the tyre that i use now weigh 560g A friend of mine is going to sell me his new Big Betty Gluey Guey.. Had one some years ago..The best tyre ever, Much better then the Rubber Queen, Tryall Stiky(1300g) Maxxis minion etc
-
Do you mean beacause of that it is going to flex alot , or that it is going to crack?
-
Going to get some better tyres..Bet i ride better with 500-700g heavier tyres on there Have a Trialtech Z610 chain. No real problems with chain tension since it got horizontal dropouts! Doesn't need a brake booster. The seatstays are butted, this means that the tubes are thicker at the maggie mounts, and makes the area alot stiffer

Offcourse Just need to dial the bike in.. i am going to move the spacers around abit and try what best as im not used to the high bb rise.. Feels very flicky! Might be because of the weight.. Think it would be the perfect natural bike..With other tyres Rear tyre is shit..Snakebite without hitting the rim.. Going to chop some knobs of, in hope that less knobs will grip better Thanks for the comments

My new bike! Feels very good, sidehops like a dream! Going to change the pedals for some 20g lighter, and the inner tube at the rear for a 30g heavier.. Weight 7710g.. Thanks to Tartbikes

@ Cat Love the derangboy/excessboy frames..He makes me want one again! Super smooth style with alot of power Maybe someone could post his newest vid?

I could easly recommend the older urbans! Bought a used pair in 2007, sold them in 2009 and they are still going strong! Think it was a 2004 model..the old owner hooked and tapped alot with them before i got my hands on them And i'm a heavy rider at 85kg

Sidehops- Video Added Look Please And Tell Me What You Think :)
Skorp replied to modifiedridah2k9's topic in Trials Chat
i sidehop the wrong way aswell.. Makes me tuck more in the middle of the bike, and not besides the rear wheel.. I have to jump longer away from the obstacle..The right pedal hits the ledge more easly,, if i dont make a sidehop on something slippery, its a chance of falling backwards.. Since the pedal you land on is in front of the middle , there is more weight at the rear..and you slip and fall Try to learn how to do it the right way! the technique for high sidehops comes more naturally then! (because of the points above) -
Really nice bikes! Shame that the cheap design ruins the look

I bought the handlebar and frame today.. Cant wait to try it out! Really interesting geo on the fram

I'm sitting here surfing Tartybikes, wanting a new bike..Cant really deside wich wheels it should have. I've had the Viz square hole, and it was really bad..Could not set up brake properly, and it got dints 'outwards'.. So wich is the best light weight 26" rim? Considering brake surface, weight, and strength!
-
Chaintensioners that does not use the dropout! Echo Sl = Fail , 74Kingz needs new "springs" after 2months or one bad sidehop Echo Sl's might work if they had not had that tab that locks it to one position... (Hmm, chop it of tomorrow maybe!)

Good vid! Nice to see you ride some natty, but the street part was waay better Massive sidehops looks so effortless..
-
Best frames ever made! Does anybody remember the geo?
-
Found out that your tires weigh around 650g in 2.2, and mine 850 in 2.3.....I need to tyres change now
-
Hehe, look at that! Bit more rise at the stem and a big stack of spacers I will try a new fork with uncut steerertube and tilting my handlebars more backwards! How is the weight of the tyres and rims compared to the lightest in the market? WHat is the lightest..? Have Trialtech with no holes, and Kenda K-rad tyres Thanks for the quick answer
-
I have the same stem and handlebar combo as Mark and Stan i think? Onza PZ3 or something..Think the geo is 85mm and 20degree rise The handlebars are Trialtech Highrise, wich i think is the same Mark is using? So the only possible "fault" is the spacers? Might just be my expections to a streety trials bike that are to high

Hello! Did just build up my new bike for the rest of the season. I chose an inspired, because alot of my friends ride bmx and street. I have tested the inspired for 2 days now, and i do really not like how it rides. I wonder if the bike gets any better if i get 1-2" of spacers on the steerertube? What do you guys think? Sell the bike and continiue using my Pirhana, or buy a new fork and get some spacers on it? Since i ride aswell street with the zoo, i cant see any benefit riding the inspired as it is now

my old style magura brake have been used with water for 6-7 years..Now a couple of days ago the piston got stuck..i lubed the piston with WD-40 and now its like new. Maguras are pretty much everlasting whatever you bleed them with!

My 26" front wheel: Stan's Notubes ZTR 355 rim Echo TR hub Sapim Race spokes, non crosses Weigh 635g. I use continental ultralight tube @ 90-100g and a Schwalbe Furius Fred tyre @ 305g No big problems really, tyre and tube feels good, since the rim is so narrow compared to a trials rim..
-
Have the same problem, switched to my street wheel with trialtech rim..Then the brake worked perfect again..
-
Oh, sounds as if its the perfect geo for the use! Thank you guys
-
hey! Anyone know what the geo is on a Planet x Zebdi mk6 frame? Skorp

Haha! That must be one of the nicest bikes ever! I have always hated the colourfull stuff..when every thing is colour co-ordinated, but this makes me smile!
-
Yeah, it is pretty sharp edged from the factory, but i took some sandpaper and made it a little rounder.. And i get blisters when i use those Echo levers...and they seem popular..So i guess my fingers are weird
