i don't think you can just build that into a skin somehow.... in an ideal world there would just be one big forum section called PEOPLE WHO RIDE TRIALS and everyone would be sound and it would always run smoothly. but we all know that'll never happen. p.s i'm a bit disappointed the new skin is still blue.

that you're going to die in the near future. somewhere on a hill.

that was well good, sweet riding and everything. is that the same place chris walker/ben slinger/someone like that, made a video ages ago?
-
makes me feel embarrassed for trials as a whole. the french are actually insane.
-
or get VLC player and open it with that. i agree that in theory this makes trials drops look shit....however for me that isn't a 'bike' skill so much as just an amazing skill someone has learnt. for example anyone could learn that and not really have to be good on a bike, however you have to be good on a bike to do other 'tricks', such as cranksflips, barspins, manuals, nosepicks etc... anyway it is massivly impressive, and massive props to that guy, but i personally would always much rather see some smooth 360's and hop to manuals etc than some one off knar knar knar trick.

nice to see soemthing different... just wondering, have they stopped having the smaller rear wheel on these now? can you have a proper 26" wheel whether you run a rear disk or not?
-
dammit i wanted project 8 too but i couldn't really afford one game never mind 2. ahh well.
-
yeh clearly you're right. but going by what he's said he ain't a hardcore pc kinda guy so just getting it running again has priority over the quality of the parts. but yeh, on the whole anzo is right, you buy cheap you buy twice as they say.

they are both immature pricks anyway. why are people even bothered about this at all? i laugh in the face of the loser who buys that piece of 'gumball memorabilia' -
yeh thats the psu (power supply unit). they are cheap as chips mate and easy to install, here's a basic one that should be fine, unless you have some hardcore system. http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/20083 the more components you have, or the higher spec you have, the higher wattage you will need. 300w is about average though.

this thread is so f**king good.

I've had those messages a couple of times, but i put it down to trying to join an almost full game. i.e trying to join and someone else steals the place so you can't get in. maybe try joining a game with just 1 person in, or try joining an on-line co-op game and see if there is still a problem. if there is, it's likely to be your firewall or some kind of setting on your router. sometimes it conflicts with just one other player and so bounces you back out. as for the game, it's good yeah, i played 6 hours of co-op with my brother so it can't be that bad, but it's not as good a game as halo 1 was when that was released. I think it's getting slightly over hyped because of the graphics. the control system and amount of weapons just feels too restrictive for me...

so if it goes really really well, we can expect a proton bomb soon yeh? i like the idea of pushing the boundries and what not, but as with everything, it'll probabaly end up in tears. uninteresting fact: my uncle works/worked for CERN.

wake up mate, how long have you been driving? only complete twats race 'from the lights' are you living in grease the musical? you are obviously so nieve you probabaly base your life on fast and the furious. stop bullshitting, and wasting your money.

i just had a similar problem with mine just last week. it was all fine, then i took my cd drive out to help fix my bros pc. when i put it all back together it would boot up but the screen would flash on, then say 'power-saving mode'. i tried loads of different things, luckily i had just ripped apart another pc so i could try different peices. however i couldn't figure it out. sometimes the graphic card seemed the problem, then the hard drive, then the motherboard, then the csmos/bios battery, then the monitor etc.....anyway i built up another pc using my brothers old mobo/cpu and used all my other pieces and it worked fine, i just couldn't repair windows, or get windows to boot up. so in the end i bought a new motherboard and processor in the hope that i wouldn't have to format my main hdd.... however it just did the same thing when i tried to repair the windows installation (went on a never ending loop on bootup). so i ended up re-installing my *cough* copy of xp *cough* and its fine now. i know this is gonna sound gay but a few months ago i read something about the window genuine advantage thing, and that sometime in nov it would stop your pc booting up altogether..... now i know that's just stupid, but up until it broke, my pc gradually went from sweet to lame. msn would crash all the time, and the error said that it wasn't compatable with my version of windows. my windows media player broke, mozialla would crash like 30 times a day and all this happened right after the last set of updates. Coincidence? probabaly.... all i know is that my windows installation shat the bed. out of interest have you got a genuine copy of xp?

i agree about the headset and the magura, but this bike was built on a budget so having two items that worked had priority over two items that looked nice. I was going to strip the magura but the paint took so long to arrive for the frame i got bored with it and just wanted it finished. The headset is equally gay, i agree but i wasn't going to go to the hassle of removing it, plus i am a pedantic to the max so me buying a new headset would probably result in a chris king....not something i can really afford. again i agree on the megamos being sweet. I have a super duper old megamo in the garage which was my original idea for the project but i thought i'd see if i could get a newer one first, which i did...obviously, and yeh i remember your old megamo, i was so close to buying it when you sold it but again, funds said no. i was also going to try and fit my odyssey junior seat on there somehow but couldn't think of a decent way of holding it on so gave up on that. and no, i ain't got any stickers that would suite it so it's staying naked. thanks for all the nice comments, irony is that although it looks street to the max, it'll probably be seeing most action in the form of shipley glen, as i no longer have any riding mates so street isn't that appealing by myself.

something like that maybe, except with sharper corners and maybe not the gradient in the background. and obviously green isn't everyones colour but i like it...
-
^yeh but reading through all this i was thinking why not make one skin (i.e something like this) then just invert it all, change a few colors to 'proper' ones (i know invert can make stuff go teal and fluorescent pink and shit)...and then you have both a light and dark skin. then again, is it just a simple case of making one, and then swapping a few colours? or do you have to build a whole different one from scratch? i suspect the reason we used to have 3 skins, and now we have one is because of maintenance. anyhow, i'm with the people that want a darker skin, rather than a lighter one. even just staring at this skin for a while in a dark room/bad light isn't easy on the eye, and it's far from pearl white... kris' black one up there is pretty much spot on, but maybe not as dark as that, maybe use a dark grey instead of black, and a light blue/yellow/green instead of white. i'm gonna attempt a photoshop too....
-
woo! thank you for liking it everyone... the comment about the lack of CNC is so true, i couldn't put my finger on what made it seem so different to the other frames, you hit the nail on the head.
-
never thought i'd be posting in here again... anyway i eventually managed to fix my pc so i can finally post pictures of my 'new' bike, sorry for the crappy pictures but it took me longer to build than i thought so it was actually getting dark by the time i finished. Paint isn't quite as perfect as i hoped but it's not too bad. specZ (for the people that care): Frame: Megamo Expert Forks: Echo Team/Lites 03 Cranks: Megamo 185mm (i think, they are deffo looooooong) Freewheel: Tensile Pedals: Gusset Slim Jims Stem: Echo Team Bars: Monty Headset: FSA Pig Front Brake: Hayes So1e Rear Brake: Magura 04/evo mounts/Koxx Bloxx Bluee Front Wheel: Koxx on a Hope xc Rear Wheel: Alex on a Quando. Chain: KMC Kool Booster: Still rocking the carbonique. I do have a bashplate but i've decided to live life on the edge and leave it off... thanks to all the people that sold me bits and to tartys for being awesom-o. cheers.

i'm pretty sure it doesn't exist anymore. i searched for the topic once (smo made it if i remember correctly). and when i went on the link they had changed the format, so it basically just listed your specs. it didn't have the high/low % bar. there is probabaly other similar site out there, but that particular one isn't. EDIT: HEREs THE TOPIC

mine, interesting as ever... [attachmentid=8186] and here's a background i made for my brother yesterday. [attachmentid=8187]

sorry but if that's the harshest thing you've ever heard you need to get out more. plus, you say it's harsh, then you go and say the exact same thing about them?...bit hypocritical don't you think? if they are how you say they are, surley they aren't really worth the time, or effort to go 'beat up'.
