    Football..

i agree it's a lot, but you've got to remember they only have a short 'career', almost all of them retire before 40. plus most of the money comes from the fans anyway, shirts/hats/scarfs + all the other gift shop crap not to mention ticket sales (some season tickets can be £200+). its not as-if they are robbing the 'poor africans' to buy their ferraris. plus, if you won the lottery tomorrow i seriously doubt you would give it all away to help the poor. annnd, they weren't born a world class footballer. you talk as if it's a peice of piss and like anyone could of been a greedy superstar sportsman if they wanted, but that's not the case. The majority of footballers have to sacrifice alot of their childhood to get to where they are. i'm not defending them, i think its as rediculous as you, but you are talking as-if they have been given all the favours, which just isn't the case. if somone is willing to pay them a shit load of money, why can't they take it? what has africans got to do with it anyway?? the world doesn't owe them anything just becasue they are poor. maybe they should get off their lazy arses and develop their country. china was a peice of shit 10 years ago, now it's like the 3rd most powerful country in the world, and it's not through charity, it's through hard work.

    Living Costs

hah naa it doesn't sound gay, but yeh i was getting at the massive commitment side. for example unless you have been friends since you were like 1, then who's to say you won't fall out or whatever, and one can just leg it leaving the other as you say, in the shit. plus what would happen if one of you wanted to settle down with a girl and wanted to sell up to get their share of the house, but the other wanted to stay there. renting in the longterm (3 years or more imo) is just pissing money away, but to move in with a mate or little group of people just to get started out on your own it's a lot easier. like my older brother rented for years after uni, but his g/f left him and he couldn't afford the place anymore, but no biggie really as he could just leave, no strings attached and find somewhere else/get a mortgage.
  6. kinky..... does she have one big nail too?

    Living Costs

i agree 100% on it being more sensible to be paying your own mortgage every month rather than someone else's, but unless your mate is like, seriously close, i wouldn't want to be buying a house with just a friend...
  8. yeh this was in the paper last year sometime. it had like a top 10 and somepeople called themselves things like rebecca chocolatemuffin and shit. there were a few that were done as dares too. i guess it would be cool to have a weird name but i would miss my old name. it's kinda what makes you, you, imo. there is a guy at work called Headley Roberts. We though his second name was Headley for ages. but yeh, if i was to get it changed i would probably just add to it, something like "Richard Bowles 9000" or something
  9. i love it when your pc is running really well.
  10. deffinatly. but just for the hell of it, tell him to put all his settings on low and try playing it. chances are his computer just can't run the settings/resolution so decided to shit itself instead.
  11. haha it's just an internet thing that's been around a while, photo of a couple of gangsta kids. no offense meant by it, just a joke.
  12. something you're not telling us?
  13. yeh me, but its mainly the weather. i don't mind being out on my own if its sunny and warm, but when its windy and cold i just get out and think to myself "why am i bothering". If i had a mate or 5 it would be more bearable in the rain, but as it is, i'm not up for it at all. roll on the summer.
  14. cool pic... where'd you get that from? story behind it?
  15. £350 for bragging rights? i'll stick with my shit phone and feeling of self worth thanks...
  16. http://www.last.fm is much better, i just started using it, it tracks everything you listen too and compiles list's based on it. you can search for similar music listen to demos on said music find other users with the same taste keep track of how much of each band you listen to etc... actually i was going to post a last.fm topic but thought i'd wait a while so i can get used to it and give it a fair review (i only got it on saturday). here's my page if anyone is interested....obviously the stats aren't that great just yet. http://www.last.fm/user/rickytalent/ seriously if you are into music (who isn't) then it's well worth getting.
  17. yeh man this band is really good. their songs are so diverse...(like not one sound with just different lyrics, which is typical of a lot of shit bands nowadays).
  18. blink - going away to college boxcar racer - watch the world millencolin - no cigar new found glory - its been a summer all remind me of year 10-11, good times, summery, really miss school sorta feeling. happy and sad all in one. bands which if i came across them nowadays i probably wouldn't look twice, but because of when i was really into them i still think they are sweet. i haven't really had any major losses, i'm not/wasn't that close to my extended family and non of my mates have died, but i can really relate to songs at funerals getting at me whenever i hear them again.# ohh just remembered, Roy Orbison - You got it, My mum used to play cassettes in her car when i was really little (going to and from playschool etc). and everytime i hear this song i think of then and her. Ironically she probably really hates it.

  20. haha oh my god, i didn't even notice. he so crazy.
  21. mr. teethshouldbebrushedthreetimesdaily.
  22. Slippery sidehop (is was snake but wayyyy back on the spectrum) played it so much... Jumping Jack (another spectrum game, simple was always best). Rock'n Roll racing on the mega drive, we must of rented it about 20 times. If there was nothing else we wanted we just rented that again. Midtown Madness 1+2 (my first ever 'proper' online games....had a team and everything ), after that i could never play single player on any game. CS 1.6 (played it like 8 hours a day sometimes, on dial up too! when i was like 13). CSS (i still play this at least 3 days a week, why?? i don't know, i just can't stop). Golden Eye (is there anyone who hasn't played this?) my childhood was probably better as a result of this game. Tony Hawks 2 (holy crap was this game the f**king best thing ever). sooo good infact i bought it again recently. Halo 1 (for me it was like golden eye all over again, but 16 player and fun as hell). But if i had to choose one last game to play ever it would probably be Return To Castle Wolfenstein, on either pc or xbox. I loved this game. The gameplay was immense and the atmosphere was soo good. Unfortunatly i don't think people play it much anymore so there isn't much point. to be fair, games are shit nowadays, there are no console games i want to play anymore, i just get bored after like an hour so it's a complete waste of £40. Plus i'm not the sort of person who enjoys playing singleplayer. I'd rather have mates to play with, or play online. so i'm just gonna stick with Css until halo 3/forza 2 comes out.
  23. haha, who betting he's presenting it.
  24. stupid though that is, you're probably right. how on earth can anyone, in the UK at least, not have read about his crash? so to then go and watch a show probably titled, 'richard hammonds 300mph crash' and then go to the effort of writing a letter to complain about what they have willingly sat down to watch, is just plain retarded. i hate tv complainers soo much. anyway, if i'm near a tv when it's on i'm deffo watching it. man, i hope top gear is back soon as a result.
