http://www.myspace.com/discoensemble just got their album today, think it's worth a listen, someone on here should like it... don't have their best songs on their myspace for whatever reason, so if you like any of the ones on there the album is deffo worth getting.

dude you are mental! if you wanna get rid of that cash so badly i'll gadly take it... <understatement>seems a waste on a car stereo.</understatement> at least buy something good/you actually need.

sometimes it hard to get the barbs screwed in tight enough, unless you are he-man. they are like cheese i know, so chances of them rounding are high, but take the brake off and screw each barb in as hard as you can, then what i did was put a little bit of tyre glue around the rim of each barb, which is enough to make a seal, but if you want to take them out again you can. it was fine forever since i did that. the hose is pretty thick so i doubt it has a pin willy hole in it, i'm betting the air is getting sucked in at the barbs, even if there is no apparent oil coming back out.

mike fede owned them all. no street, no win.

karma mate, he does live in france after all...

well depends whether you watch top gear for cars or for comedy really, before the 'new look' series, top gear was pretty much 1 practicle car review after another, and i still thought it was ace. and yeh i forgot about jamie oliver, oh my god has he grown a huge head. talk about up his own arse. i respect his healthy food work and that but no need to go all megalomaniac.

wow, clarkson is looking old, and hammond looks really thin (understandably). i'm really impressed with hammond though, i didn't think the crash was quite as harsh as that, i just expected him to roll over a bit,... but practically head butting the ground at 200mph... insaaaaane. you could almost feel the speed from the camera pointed at his eyes. good episode though, think it was done really well, and clarkson isn't harsh, it's all in good humour, hammond wouldn't want it any other way.

mine crashes on certain myspace pages too. i know it's flash related but now it doesn't even give me a warning it just closes itself. sorry dunno how to solve it, but i just thought i'd say i have it too....

i've watched a film on film four about 3 times called shaolin soccer i think. its a proper dodgey japanese comedy (at least i hope its a comedy), about a football team of old mates who have to try and win the tournament. except they have like super powers like super strength and the ability to make tornado's out of nothing. Its got subtitles and is really really stupid but if you see it on the listings its worth a watch.

american beauty is a pretty good film too, yet again someone dies at the end, but i wouldn't want it any other way.

think theres a new one coming out soon.

i agree about severance, it was neither funny nor scary, and i still don't fully understand the plot. My mate bummed it because it had the guy from spaced in it, (his favourite film is Shawn of the Dead), but it was just a shit attempt at being a parody and very flat, in fact i'm quite proud i managed to watch it all. However if you enjoyed it, fair enough....keep an eye out for Hot Fuzz, it's been delayed till march i think but if you like severance you should like that too. Caleb: yeh i watched scrubs quite a bit during the first couple of seasons, (the same mate from above loves it) and i agree he can be funny, but a lot of it is the same humor again and again...kinda, if you've seen one you've seen them all. I saw an episode recently with the walkie talkies that was pretty sweet though.

i'm not really a big film fan but here's some films i have actually made a conscious effort to watch again. Vanishing Point (earlier version). Garden State (before this film i thought that zach braff was a bit of a tit). 28 days later (i think it's cool how they managed to film it with such a huge lack of public). BTTF Trilogy (just so clever). ---- I also love The Fly 1 and 2, and films like re-animator and total recall. Totally 80's style films, with awesomely funny special effects and gory props. Plus all the cliche one like Shawshank, Donnie Darko, Waynes World 5th element etc... Plus, i'm not entirely sadistic but i hate films with really cheesy happy endings (Employee of the Month/Road Trip/American Pie). I prefer it when the people actually die or something at least vaguely realistic happens.

i know that the darth vader guy was known as the 'black night' might help in a search.

anything Globe, those are not too wide, but wide enough for biking, also look smart. got a sweet pair of Globe Finale's off ebay at xmas for £30 brand new, when they are usually £45. also don't forget those NKE 6.0, they are expensive though. I also recommend Nike Dunks. Think they are awesome shoes, but again can be quite expensive.

nosepick i should think...

yeh hairspray works, just don't put too much on, just one or two squirts.

K, i typed all this and when i hit preview i noticed you had posted again above, so what i've written is pretty much irrevilent to you, but i've posted it anyway because it might be of use to someone else whenever... I think the reason they are pretty much unheard of is because there isn't really any need for them. Unless you are really pedantic and want a free standing stacked system. I know you probably know better than me, but from my experience all you need to do it make sure you buy the best cables money can afford for connecting pc - hi fi and you're good to go. At the moment i have a £35 sound card in my PC with a 3.5 Jack Splitter into which i have a pair of Sr60's in one socket and into the other i have a seriously FAT heavy duty style 3.5 jack to Phone which runs 10 meters into a Sony Amp....which in turn is connected to some very shit hi-fi speakers (soon to be updated in the next couple of weeks). And my sound quality is pretty awesome considering how cheap it is. I think it's actually a benefit having you're PC in the loop because of the amount of equalizer options and so on, available on a PC. From what i can tell, you are only after HDD mp3 player for sound quality? rather than because it's more clean cut to take the PC/Ipod/phone out of the system? Unless you have already tryed buying a really good quality cable and aren't happy with it, then i seriously think it's a better option to hunt down a decent cable rather than a whole new extra piece of (probably overpriced) equipment.

leeds eyy...who are those people?
-
woo! some really good choices people, Ali C that was sweet, never seen it before. few more faves i've dug out: Eminem - Stan. whether you like him or not, it's hard to deny this is an awesome song/video. Korn - Freak on a Leash. I'm not really a korn fan, but i remember first seeing this video and just being like "how the hell is that done". Daftpunk - Around the World. HAHA! how did they keep it all together for the entire song? Skills, and quality entertainment all in one place. Bright Eyes - Fist Day of my Life Very cliche, almost to the point of throwing up, but it's kinda nice. keep 'em coming, some of us will hopefully be glad of this thread at 2:30 in the morning when i have nothing to do.
