  1. Couple of shots from a recent pre-wedding shoot. Blog will be up soon.
  2. So I headed up to Shipley Glen today to meet Stan. As always when I meet Stan, as soon as the camera came out the rain soon follows. Managed to get a total of 3 photographs between to showers and then we gave up.
  3. too much HDR processing for my liking. When you can tell it's been done it just looks weird. Need to be more subtle with it. Only get better with time though so good effort.
  4. Shot a wedding last Thursday, this is the wedding highlights and link to a slideshow at the bottom. The slideshow was completed on the day whilst the guest eat, ready for the evening reception. Not final edits but this way the evening guests can see the days events. You might recognise a few people from the forum with this one Blog post here direct link to slideshow, watch in HD.
  5. TSG superlight -300g. Bearing in mind an s-work prevail road helmet, used on the tour is about 220g I'd guess the superlight is the lightest pisspot you'll get.
  6. Went to a mate race today to meet some mates, got a few photos whilst there.
  7. New blog and our first couple of blogs. Feedback appreciated. We are still tweaking a few pages too. Click here
  8. VIDEO HERE Friend of mine shot this, let me know what you think. It was shot on a compact camera, no jigs etc. The camera does have a stabilising mode that looks like it works very well.

    A Decade

Nice Ali, you should go back to all these locations and recreate the video again. See how your riding style has changed. Add a bit of extra style
  10. Not sure on weight, around 28/29lbs I'd guest but could be lighter. Got a hope wheel for the rear but needs to convert to MM axles which is a pain. The gears are spot on, big range at the back gives me a nice first gears for mega hills, you loose some top speed if your on flatter sections but nothing major. Only been on local rides though, need to take it for a real test somewhere.
  11. New bike, picked it up Yesterday. Quick spin yesterday and it's spot on. Just waiting on pedals arriving now. Perfect 120mm travel bike for bombing about on in the woods
  12. So I met up with Stan Shaw today to try get a few photographs. It was a tad windy but we headed up the crazy hill to get warmed up. Nice and sunny to start with. We got rained off after a few hours so couldn't get any stunners. Stan was his usual smooth and powerful self, this last one is a gap to back wheel from the small rock in the bottom left hand of the photograph. It looks big because it was
  13. it is Stan, and it's a massive gap up too.
  14. not stunning, it's a gap in Morley, nice though
  15. Yeah that could work. Check out a Marin B17 too. Cheaper than a rockyridge, it's a hardcore hardtail. You might pick one up with a adjustable travel PIKE with lockout. drop the travel, get some panaracer mach S tyres. slick centre with grip on the outside. That could be good root. Second hand B17 and some Mach S tyres. THey ride nice too, short back end, manual and hop really well.
  16. Why would he get a mountain bike, stop suggesting hardrocks etc. They will be useless. Search Specialized Crosstrail and choose your spec. MTB stye frame (clearance, mudguard space, rack mounts etc) with 700c wheels. Will roll nicely on the road, unlock the fork and you've got a bike that will more than fine on bumpy terrain. They range from £450 upwards. £600 might get you one secondhand with disc brakes etc. Whyte also do the Caledonian which is a higher spec of this, triple butter frame etc but price jumps alot and I don't think you would find one second hand. The bigger wheel size will make a massive difference, especially over the distance your talking about. Slick will help but combine 700c with slick, sorted. Crosstrail. prefect. Could go higher spec again too. I missed the jump part. I think you needs are too far apart. Something suitable for road won't jump well. Something that Jumps well will be crap on the road.
  17. Good stuff. Liked the riding at the end too, g-turn on that final bike was cool.
  18. As you both have the same pads, probably more down to the rim or brake set up. Could be dirt, bad grind or no grind, bad set up or even bleed.
  19. I agree with the middle one being better. I think it might read better reversed. At the moment it appears to be "co.uk.trialsforum." Just a thought.
  20. Can not wait for this. Both Dave Sowerby and Danny deserve everything they have gotten after the April video. Amazing talent from both of them.
