Evening all, I picked up an astra 1.7 cdti on Thursday.seemed spot on, drove it home ask fine. Driving today and the eml light comes on and the turbo cuts out. Then it's all fine again. On and off like this at random. Bought from a standard garage, where do I stand with taking it back and getting it sorted? 04 plate so not new.

They all kind of copy each other and repeat each year. I think it's Digital Photography Magazine (DP) that is pretty good. I get Professional Photographer at the moment but it's more about people in the industry, advice etc rather than tutorials. Mags like DP usually have a macro issue, a black + White issue, portrait issue...and so on. Something like that will be perfect for her. And I wouldn't bother upgrading a 500d to a 650d. The difference won't be massive. Probably better screen, more pixels etc. Better investing in Lens using the same money. They all kind of copy each other and repeat each year. just look for nice light and use it. I was shooting a wedding and a guy asked me why I wasn't shooting any photos from a certion spot, he thought it would look really nice. I explained that because the light is gash it doesn't matter how nice the background is, every photo would look crap so no point. Waste of time and shots, follow the light.

Yeah it's a new feature on the Canon, not sure how much control you get on the nikons but you can choose dark, light, & balanced double exposures for different effects with this. The light thing is going to be amazing at weddings etc, can't wait to be able to focus easily too. It's like magic with my 35mm 1.4, by far my favourite lens. 50mm 1.2 next on the list. Another nice touch for shooting on the go is the limits you can set. I shoot Aperture priority alot knowing when to compensate and when to not, it's faster and works for me. You have to keep an eye on shooter speed etc. With the mkiii you can set a minium shooter speed and it will automatically raise the ISO to stop going below the set speed

Playing with a double exposure. The gap in my hand is annoying but can't be bothered to get rid of it.

Cheers, it's truly amazing. )

If you in Sheffield, head to Edniburgh Bicycle co-op. They stock the silver and black go-pro3's, silver is fine for most people. There are official stockists and price match online too.

No flashes inside, Just at a height that lights the seats a little when at the right angle. Just about to start gettung busy with weddings so it was nice to get out and shoot something else. Anyone interested in a Canon 5d mkii by the way. Boxed, manual, straps..all the usual stuff. Cleaned and serviced once a year by CPS. Was looking for around £875. Usual use marks but nothing major. If anyone is interested I can get pics.

Have another. And then a portrait

Works better with the line on the floor and the pavements lines at the sides. Used a longer lens with a straight shot which you may prefer.

Something a bit different to portraits.
