  1. hello mate i was going to buy one of them, but ended up getting a second hand mod, but it would have been good if i'd got the bike you've got. it looks good, apart the reflectors on the pedals, and personally i don't like the red on the tyres but all-round it's a good bike, enjoy it mate, ben g
  2. seems okay to me mate, the main thing though is that you like it. at the end of the day thats what matters, and everyone has different opinions, good luck with it mate, ben g
  3. either way you can't go far wrong, i'm riding both 20" and 26" and they both compliment each other really, but personal preference will determine what you get, try out both types if you can and go from there, you'll soon know then. ben g
  4. thats true and a valid point, fox forx look sweet as. ben g p.s what should be said however is that it's cheaper to go rigid, unless your a pro and are given forks!
  5. gotta agree with Eskimo, loads of people ride mods for street riding, just look at what Craig Lee Scott!
  6. if you can afford it get some low travel FOX FORX like Hans Rey and Jeff Lenosky use!

  9. i was running a set up like that recently and i used a shortened brake cable through the back of the mech, and held the mech in line of the gear i wanted, then tightened up the cable, that might be worth a go, but definetly check what everyone else said first (a cut down spoke works just as well as a brake cable by the way), hope this helps mate, ben g
  10. but your also breaking the law if your riding on the pavement, walls, etc. the worlds gone mad, mad i tell you
  11. thanks for all the feedback guys, it's useful to know that this has happened to other people (not good though, and very pathetic), they should all just give us a break because were not hurting anyone. ben g
  12. i read on a website that they gave someone an ASBO for riding a bike but it didn't specify anything about it. JT! your probably right
  13. don't know but when you find out get DT spokes

  16. thats good then, i rode with him in bristol and we were ripping it out of him all day when he told us, the irony was that he was wearing a tshirt that said 'homsexuals are gay' on the front of it, blatently gay, hehhehhhe, by the way you should ride bristol when they come down for our next ride, ben g www.myspace.com/westonsupertrials
  17. it needs enough space above the steerer tube to pull up and be tight, probably 3mm - 5mm should be okay, as for the star nut go to your local bike shop an ask to borrow there tool. it should then fit at the right distance and be straight aswell. better still fit a headlock they're much better and safer/secure, good luck, hope this helps, ben g
  18. thought as much but how do you know? did he try it on with you aswell as alex?
  19. mate the more you practice it the more consistent yuo'll become, alternatively try slowing down an using pedal strokes. zap-tap or pedal hop!!! hope this helps, but ask if you want more advice, and i'll do what i can, if i'm on here. ben g
  20. by front touch do you mean zap-tap? if so i can zap tap much higher than side hop at the moment. ben g
