The pre-release beta thingy I had was a joke in many ways, but from the latest screenshots I've seen they have taken all the criticism on board. I still hate Windows but this machine is my workstation, so needs to run many things including games and that. It's a necessary evil. Could dual boot, but I'll probably end up just using Win10 as my base OS and then using Linux VMs for anything proper. Good news on the RAM, I didn't think DDR3 mhz mattered too much? 20% is decent haha. My RAM is 2800mhz.

I'm currently halfway through building my new computer, currently setting the 2 Samsung 850 Evo 500gb SSDs I've got for it in RAID 0. Such fun to be had later! Bit annoying that all my copies of W7 have been used up now though. (Academic copies I got through uni so after 5 installations the key is invalid). I intend on moving to Win10 when it comes out, but it's not out yet!

Looks like I'm bringing the Micra then! Count me in Ads. EDIT: Also f**k off Cox.

How will it ruin the day? On most track days, all that happens is you get up, walk to the side of the track, shift the bike and re-start the session, and there won't even be a session because it's a sprint, right? I've been at a similar, little track day where someone came off. Everyone stopped, then the lass picked her bike up, kicked it straight, and set off again and completed the session. Unless there's a dead body in the track, which almost never happens apart from at the IOM, it won't ruin anyone's day at all. Sorry but your perception of bikes is clearly warped. Are your parents anti-bike people by any chance? To call riding a bike on a track selfish is f**king hilarious! EDIT: I might be in, just trying to decide whether I want to thrash my Micra round a track if bikes aren't allowed.

I never finished my bronze DofE. I've got 400 UCAS points though. Can I exchange them for bitcoin?

They also support 4K and have for a while.

Fairly rotten. Pretty rotten. Rather rotten. Quite rotten.

Thought this was the car thread, wondered where that reply went. Mine just needs a service at some point, and the front cross member replacing as it's fairly rotten. Other than that it all seems OK though. Been right round it now and inspected pretty much all the running gear. Only bad bit at the moment is that the front crossmember is pretty rotten, but that's not the biggest job ever to replace.

Nice! Tis true though, SATA3 limits SSDs to around 550mbps reads. M2 drives are too expensive for what they are IMO, and although SATA Express exists as a standard (my new motherboard has 2 ports), the drives don't appear to exist yet. Realistically the only option is multiple SATA3 SSDs in RAID 0 for me. Starting with 2, but may add more later.

I had a 128gg SSD and 1tb HDD but didn't bother putting the HDD back in when I built my new computer because it's full of stuff I don't need, and I want all SSD storage in this build so it's just temporary until I order a ccouple of Samsung 850 Evo 500gb SSDs. Gonna run them in RAID 0, so hopefully should be quick enough. At the moment this single 128gb is the bottleneck in my system as it's limited by SATA3.

I've not posted in here for ages as I have nothing to say... My Micra is awesome, just keeps going and eats up the miles. Too many as it turns out, I told the insurer I would do around 3000 miles per year, and I've already done over that in 2.5 months, if I have an incident and the clock reads much more than that, are they likely to be pissy?
-
Might have to once I get more storage. Currently running off a 120gb SSD so with GTAV installed I have 5gb free.

Allow bikes, you bitches.

Mine. Hope mono trial lever blade on an upside down 04 maggy body, because that's what I had and I wanted to ride the next day. Worked really well, ran it on that bike for a few months.

Sometimes I think I make f**king moronic decisions with my life, then Jardo posts something and I feel awesome about myself.

Rode my Dad's Bandit 12 today. It was awesome, so very much torque.

It's been done, totally passive PCs are pretty common to be honest. Bit slow though. AX860i soon for me Sav!

Tried them on some rubber mounts I found in my special toolbox and it's much quieter now. The fans are still very loud at 12v but on a controller they're much better. Still thing Corsair f**ked up by making them voltage controlled instead of PWM though. Noobs.
-
Maybe I just expect too much... Is it possible to make computers actually silent? Might have to get clever with the wiring on this build. I want to be able to control the fan speed of all fans, and turn the LEDs on and off separately... Could achieve that with some mods.
-
Open a secret/incognito browser. My fans arrived, and oh my f**k are they loud. I cannot believe how loud these "quiet edition" fans are! If they were PWM then fine, because then the fan could be slowed down or stopped simply without the LEDs being affected, but as they're voltage controlled turning down the fan speed dims the LEDs. Slightly annoying that.

Pair of AF120s for my floor intakes. Never used them but I have to do something to get more air into the case. My graphics cards are getting rather hot. You have a pair of SP120s? Non LED I presume? You are aware they're like the best rad fans out at the moment right?
-
Felt sad this morning so ordered me a couple of these to try out. Thinking of going all white/black with this build and these new purple LED Corsair fans.

If I disliked my job I wouldn't have stayed. It's just frustrating having to balance time sometimes.

Have you never seen wheels built by me? I'm a f**king artist I'll have you know.

Not my kinda game to be honest, I've always liked cartoony fake reality stuff more than stuff based in reality. Minecraft, GTA and Crysis are my bag, COD and Battlefield and Arma and stuff bore me.
