Bad times. Who was the insurer? Want to make sure I avoid them haha.

I bought a Micra at the weekend. Needs nothing unless you're picky, which I am. 66k, £750 from a dealer and shit. Not the bestest deal in history but it needs nothing unless you're a picky b*****d like me, and it was the only decent 1300 for sale with over 6 months MOT left within about 100 miles. I absolutely love it. Such a happy little thing to drive.

My brother was there watching today. Can't believe the speed you're carrying there! I've done one of their charity bike days there and reckon my lap times were double yours haha.

My top tips: Energetic? Lift more Tired/hungry? Eat more Energetic? Lift more Tired/hungry? Eat more Energetic? Lift more Tired/hungry? Eat more Continuously increase both until you are bossing it, then maintain that level of food and work until you become Ronnie Coleman.

£350 a month rent for our flat. Nice and cheapy cheap between 2 of us.

Cheers chap, I asked if the cambelt had been changed at 80k which is the service interval, and the dealer says he doesn't have any service history for it, but "drive is good". Do I really give a shit when I'm buying a 10 year old Peugeot with 95k on it? My attitude when buying bikes is that if it's cheap, it's fine so I guess that applies to cars? He's asking £1299 but he's had it a while so maybe he'll take less to get rid of it... Dad is coming along, test drive will tell him a lot more than me given that I've only driven 2 cars and they both felt fine to me.

This seems like the place to ask, how do you actually buy a car? So far my checklist is: Have insurance quote lined up Arrange with dealer the day before HPI check the day before (can anyone recommend which one to use? Must cover logbook loans) Inspect car/paperwork as per this checklist plus whatever else pops into my head http://www.theaa.com/motoring_advice/car-buyers-guide/cbg_diyinspection.html Haggle on price Pay the man Sign the logbook Insure it (checked with the insurer that they do instant cover) Tax it (via the automated phone line thing) Drive it away Missed anything?

I think they should, but hope they don't. Top gear won't be the same without him. I think it's an absolutely dick move by the BBC to stop the final episodes of the series from airing though. What were they thinking? He punched a colleague so it's an internal issue, why punish the public as well?
-
He's only suspended, apparently he punched a producer: http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2015-03-10/top-gear-series-postponed-after-jeremy-clarkson-punches-producer

Several of these clips are on my walk to work, reminds me why I quit haha. After 4 years of riding I couldn't so stuff close to half as big, good going lad. Decathlon gap looks fecking terrifying, that was on my walk to uni.

Already checked, can tow upto 1100kg but my license only allows 750kg anyway. Easily enough for a bike trailer with 2 bikes on it.

Cheers mate. Haha that's the plan! Looking at the 2.0 HDI 206SW. Cheaper to insure than a 406/306 and there are more nice ones around for my kinda money (~£1500) because they're such an old persons car. Plus smaller, lighter etc. Hopefully going to view one next Sat with my Dad if he agrees to come. 72k miles with all the options and a spoiler! They're after £1790 but I reckon I can get that down. If not I'll probably still buy it if it's as clean as the pictures suggest.

Passed my driving test. Did a semi-intensive course over 6-7 weeks having 3 1.5 hour lessons a week (normally), definitely recommend doing it that way. Recalling what to do happens so much quicker when you're driving regularly.

I do it because I want to lift heavier weights personally.

Form looks good enough to me! Nicely done.

Good work dude. Post the video! My shoulder is still stiff and sore. Looks like I'll have to take some time rehabilitating it before I can start pushing myself again.
-
1st and 5th are the same car.
-
I'd have to drop about 7-8kg before I could get into the 93kg category and I'd still not be competitive haha. I get what you mean, but I always see the daily training as training for that 1 big 1rm I go for. I just like achieving stuff I haven't done before. Tis very satisfying. Yeh it's a weird one this injury. I wasn't lifting very heavy but was shoulder pressing in the smith machine. I think the fact that it enforces you to press in a straight line rather than a natural curve is what did it.

If the owner is happy with a mixed day, and the spots are per person regardless of vehicles then I'm in. If I have a car by then I'll bring that, but if not then I'll be on the bike. EDIT: Don't suppose it would be possible to bring multiple vehicles? I've got a couple of bikes I'd love to have a go round in haha. Planning on having a car which can pull a trailer. Cheers mate.
-
Hopefully will have a car by the next one, but as I don't have a car or a licence yet I guess I can't reserve a space... Is there any real reason for no bikes though if it's going to be an open pit type affair? If there's only one vehicle on track at once I can't see why it need be limited to cars? EDIT: Btw if bikes are allowed then I fully intend to take advantage of the promise Ed made to me back in 2010 that I could have a go on the CCM.

My blog works faultlessly. Guess I just know how to build shit as well as test it.

Taking a mysqldump (which is what phpmyadmin uses to export db) usually causes downtime and is bound to for a 500mb db. Plus if you schedule down time you can take a dump of the db and be sure no data has changed until you bring your site back up.
-
You can't have any downtime at all? That will make things tricky... Look into replication, just came out in MySQL 5.6. Adds the ability to replicate a DB while it's still running. (Assuming you're using MySQL).

Yeh was only being sarchastic dude.
