To be brutally honest, it was annoying and very slow, if I saw that on a website I wouldn't know to click on it, I would be expecting something to happen. It takes to long to mess around clearing the beans, maybe speed it up? Or just make a proper flash banner / ad

As Gok said there is no excuse to a 5 week lateness. Even if there really is a problem at least let the buyer/swapper know what going on. Don't take 5 seconds to send a quick text or email.
