Yea, the guy I got them from runs them on a grind, but I just need another option as theres not much point in running them, hardly any pad left.

Pink stickers and then it will look lush. That or Green rims.

Right, due to my brake problem which has result in my back being very sore, I am resorting to a grind. I am getting a light/medium grind done by a friend, and am probably going to get some new pads as mine don't have much life left, but I will run them on the grind for a bit until I get new ones. Currently I have Onza Citruses, and am thinking about new ones for the grind. Someone told me that they used Koxx Brown's on a light/medium grind and it just wore the grind down. I was thinking about the blue rock pads? Can anyone give me some guidance as to what to go for. Also if possible looking at some value pads, rather than splashing out lots of money on expensive pads, but I will if I have to. Please just don't refer me to the pad reviews section. Thanks, Tom

Well the eBay palce is from TrialsMan. Any guesses on why it is so expensive?

All better apart from the rear brake, doesn't any hold in moves where there is a lot of weight over the backwheel. I'll probably end up grinding the rim. EDIT: More pictures to come.

Well my mate Steve took these with his nice and shiny Nikon, I obviously could not upload at the size they were, and with the only image programme on my computer being paint, I had to use an online programme. Just one of me in the middle of a wheel-switch, and an Abubaca on a ramp at my local skatepark. -Tom

I took some photo's but was stupid to have the camera take email quality photos, and not too many. =( And I ran out of memory after recording Reece and myself. Would have been good to have the tie break on video. Matt Bird had his camera so he might have some pics. And congrats on the win Tom, the tension was amazing.

Best looking mod ever, that is my dream bike. Hope it rides as good as it looks.

Looks like Dick Bendy's bike that he apparently saved up for. (Pre-member spammer).

Lo, I remember when I when I first saw you, I thought you was called Gary or something. =p

I like the idea of it, or buy now pay later (my mum would buy me anything if its under these circumstances). But then again, a trials bike is a very versatile and used item, its not like a fridge/freezer or household appliance that stays in the house and nothing our of the ordinary can happen to it, these will then usually always tend to last longer than the payback rate. A bike however is dependable on the rider, I'm sure some people would buy a bike wreck it or abuse it, and still have to finish payments for it. Good idea but I can't really see it happening with trials bikes.

I ditto that, but T-Birds/T-Vee's aren't bad bikes to start on, but if one was bought, buy the 05/06 one. 07 T-Bird has a front disc and it works really good apparently. I got an 07 T-Vee (good to start on, but if you can only afford to buy seperate parts to slowly upgrade to a new bike, then don't go for this), they are a bit dodgy with 2 bolt mounts as aposed to 4 bolt mounts, plus a T-Vee has a rear wheel that is the same size as a front wheel. I'd say T-Bird, its got a wide rear rim, disc hub, disc mount on the forks, 4 bolt mount on the forks. And all of that is good enough to last you a while, and if your starting trials.

Yea, I heard my mum talking about the 23rd and I said I'm going Southend on the 23rd, she said no your coming with us. But looking forward to seeing some of you lot on the 30th possibly?

Starting to shape up, I'm looking forward to this.

My dad had morphine when he was in hospital for breaking his leg. He loved the stuff, and it screwed up his dreams, he kept on having dreams on big Russian buildings.

I'd like to see it, I wouldn't really care how small or worth the winning item is, its just fun to have a raffle.

Thanks for that Adam, hopefully we won't get lost. Hope to see everyone there.

I used to sleep talk and walk, but its kinda gone now. I remember once, I woke up in the middle of the night and found myself laying on the sofa downstairs, was probably the weirdest feeling ever. My brother sleeptalks, is quite amusing to hear him at night. But I think its terrible how it can grow into something as bad as shown in the programme, especially how there isn't a cure.

to make most impact on this thread and to ditto what I have already said as well as most people. Only buy new bits for your bike if your current ones brake. You probably won't need anything new for months. Haven't you ever heard of the saying, don't judge a book by its cover, the only way you know if something is good is trying it by yourself. Example being, Ali C will say that V-brakes are the best around, but that doesn't mean they are. Its called an opinion Courtney.

Yea I'm very tempted, I'll have to give Mr Stuart a ring and find out. EDIT: If we go, we will need some help getting to town, so would anyone be able to meet me and Reece at the station if we go?

Gloves Cant Live With Em, Cant Live Without Em
Captain Scarlet replied to scottmarks2007's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Foam grips aren't very nice in my opinion, my friend had them, they make the bar really thin and grips feel a bit harder as they are so thin to the bar. Just get some Try-All rubber or Lock-on grips and ride gloveless. -
Then leave it, get into trials a bit and see what you think, nothing needs to be done to it if you are only starting out But what is the point Courtney when you don't ride?, you was apparently coming to Clacton but didn't. Have you even progressed to do a pedal hop yet?

Ditto that, but I always bring a pair in case my hands wanna screw about (which rarely happens). Only need gloves in the winter, as thats just for warmth. -
Am tempted to put my dad's road bike back together, is god damn fun to go fast on hills, gives you such a rush. I also want to do some long distance riding with a mate when he gets one.
