Should have kept with the black Ash, I much preferred it, Stealth *** . Pink is for gays. But at least you haven't gone over the top with it.

Deng should make frames with 4-bolt mounts and disc mounts, not seperate frames for either option. Disc Echo Lite sounds good. Tempts me whether to wait for that or get the current model.

**my Bike - This Is A Fantastice Bike I Can Promise Anyone**
Captain Scarlet replied to T.McMillan's topic in Bike Pictures
I so want that colour co-ordination for my mod some day. Looks swish, but why the change? -
My mate had them on a medium grind, they were a beast but, lasted him about 3 weeks or so. Light grind or smooth rim.

I've got a dent exactly the same as that, but its not perfectly in the centre of the downtube, off to the side a little bit, but done by a similar thing. But for me the question is: "How much is a dented and cracked T-Pro worth?". I'll be looking to flog it soon, any offers?, and no the crack is not from the dent, but the overwelded gusset.

Trials: Not Really The Height Of Fashion Is It!
Captain Scarlet replied to mfereborn's topic in Trials Chat
Shorts and shirt for me. Hypothermia for me in the winter, I can't wear any trousers full stop, my Emo freewheel eats them all alive. Don't forget a lid. Thats a tempting offer for me in the winter. -
To All The Zona Zip Riders Out There!
Captain Scarlet replied to Steve Tiller's topic in Trials Chat
The headset has been in and out more times than a (I don't know what to say lo). It has had new bearings and checked for any internal damage. The bearings are as sweet as a nut, so who knows whats doing it? -
Half link chains ftl. KHE Collapse's look nicer than KMC's, I got a black one to go with my colour co-ordination. It also has a flat edge on one side, so it sits flush to protect it from damage.

Any of the Deng pads (thats Echo, ZOO! and Adamant) are perfect on a decent smooth rim (ideally an Echo rim as that is what they have been tested with). Pad life is amazing, I've had a set of Echo's on a smooth rim since May and they have only worn about a millimetre. Just get yourself some tar and be careful with what rim you use (a Monty 219 wheel had the worst gripping surface for a rim ever for me).

The Official T-pro Guild Members List
Captain Scarlet replied to Captain Scarlet's topic in Trials Chat
Its the same bike? -
Looking nice, I have that much headset spacers on my T-Pro, because is feels crap if its any lower. You ever tried puting a 10mm on the top of the stem and the rest on bottom? Just experiment putting some on top to see if you like it any better?

Would have normally been *.wmv, but Jennings was a lazy bugger as he wanted it to go straight onto his iPod.

Minimise your chances of getting your trousers stuck in a freewheel I say! Diamondback bikes are great easily affordable and easy to find bikes in my opinon, I quite like the new model of the Groove, Bone colour. I seen them as low as £500 for the Kabuki Mono, they're a great bike too, to those who say its a copy of the Pitbull, well perhaps it is but its a good way for a starter to trials. Kabuki

Nice one Nick, Reece was saying that you need a video out really. And nice job for first time editing, choice of song was perfect, rythym went perfect with your riding style. I always wanted to have a video with Madonna to it but I didn't want to feel like a ponce. :$

Wow I'm chuffed I managed to get a video on Tv.isg.si, so no more PooTubing. I cut this short as Charlie (cjskate) wanted to use my video I was working on in a meeting to show one us demonstrating trials, so he wanted the rendered product. But also as I have been working on this for so long, most of the clips are fairly old and I really wanted the video finished. Throughout this video (starting filming since August) you will see my front brake and wheel change, and my rear wheel, but surprisingly the video is short, so next time should be longer. I shall also product a stacks video in the future. =D TV.is.si http://tv.isg.si/site/?q=filebrowser/thutley Tubing Enjoy

Tensile Freewheel + Eno Freewhel = Good?
Captain Scarlet replied to Captain Scarlet's topic in Trials Chat
The drive side has been hit a few hundred times with a hammer lmao, so those who think Monty cranks are cheese are so wrong, its still kept its shape actually. I think I'm gonna let my dad have a go at it (nothin beats him ), also the blowtorch method suggested by Adam. And yes I have bolted the tool to the freewheel to stop it slipping and added countless spanners to the crank for more leverage. -
Do You Ride With A Full Face Helmet If So Why?
Captain Scarlet replied to Sam F's topic in Trials Chat
Well I had a bad accident around 4 years ago on a bike from not wearing a helmet, and until the beginning of this year my parents saw it as essential to wear a full face helmet. I was wearing one for trials, it doesn't limit your view at all as the chin part is not in your view, I just got a bit hotter and sweatier in a full face. I managed to persuade my parents to let me have a cycle style helmet, but they always come up with the argument that I could knock my teeth out. But I think most trials bikers take the risk of knocking your teeth out like a shin dig, a shin dig can always happen but msot times the result isn't too bad (and if it is bad its not exactly life threatening just painful), so for that reason not many trials riders wear shin pads. Its the same thing why people don't think about a full face on trials. I wouldn't recommend riding with a full face helmet, look back on me doing it I look like a nob, but most people in the norm could say that wearing any helmet makes you look like a nob. If it feels right for you mate go for it. -

Should be just a changeover at Shenfield. For times and prices; www.nationalrail.co.uk -
Well recently I have bought some Echo Forged cranks, to replace my old battered and falling apart Monty's. I took my cranks off at work today (I work in a bike shop), and tried removing the Eno freewheel in between the space of 10-3 o clock (obviously not non stop), but pretty much everyone at work had a go, we made different tools and jigs to get it off but it wouldn't budge, tried GT85 and the stuff that penetrates rust to unclock fixed threads but nothing. Its basically come to the point that the Freewheel is 100% stuck, so I'm just going through the possibilites. I love my Eno, so I thought about taking off as much of it as possible and buying spares of the parts that are stuck (should be just the centre piece), but that will come to £28 just to replace that and the locking and teeth aren't in the greatest of shape either. So I thought about a Tensile, cheap and easy, and it also removes with a bottom bracket tool so hopefully that wouldn't get stuck like my one has. But I also rembered that Tensiles are replaceable like the Eno, so If I wanted to could I just buy a Tensile and then replace the outer teeth on it with the ones on my Eno, thus changing its engage ments? Is this possible? Also for the future I think front freewheels should be made like a sprocket?, so they could have splines running all the way through instead of threads, and then secured on with a lockring in the same way a sprocket is, that way it doesn't get tighter the more pressure you put on it? But is is possible to combine the Eno with a Tensile? I'm sure I'm gonna get many people say; "Oh whats the point its only another 12 engagements?", but I'm just trying to make use of the spares I have. And to those who say Monty cranks are made of cheese, your so wrong.

Braintree Trials Park Meeting/ride.
Captain Scarlet replied to Charlie Jennings's topic in Member Organised Rides
Jennings change the time of the Notley Tesco meeting, do it for 11:30, 'cos if Birdyboy wants to get a train to Braintree station, 10:45 arrival will be too late to meet for 11. 11:30 at Tesco's in Notley, so I'll meet Matt and Co. at Braintree station 10:45ish to escort them there. All good?
