  1. Lets get on this boy! My only days off this month are Wednesday 25th and Friday 27th, unless you wanted to ride evenings which I'm always good for. I'll try and keep September free-er =D
  2. Awesome video, most enjoyable video I've watched in ages, just like watching a classic trials video for the first time. I really love your style Joe, just so concise and smooth, really makes me want to do dual disc again!
  3. I was down Southend last night on my motorbike just casually with all the cars on the seafront, nearly crashed into the back of my mate when my gaze was taken by 5 riders who were out. Saw one guy riding a newish Ashton who had a tattoo sleeve going on, and a younger guy riding a Limey 20, they were the only two I can remember. Looked like you was heading down to the sea life centre. I haven't ridden properly in ages due to not having a good group of people to ride with, so would love to ride with you guys... whoever you were.
  4. Not necessarily, you need to assess each situation to decide what action to take, being over confident and getting stuck in there isn't always the best option, some girls like shy guys. Best thing I've found is networking/friend circles, becoming friend of a friend etc gets you a lot of new people to meet and get friendly, regardless of looks, become a friendly sociable person to every friend of a friend. I can think of many girls I've met through friends who are absolutely disgusting, yet if your alright to them they will treat you the same way, get into her friendship circle new set of girls. Word spreads with girls, and ultimately girls can remember bad shit for a long time, if your keen and socialable, expect to get the same thing back.
  5. I had to flush out my freewheel with WD-40, it completely seized on me at a demo about 3 weeks after buying it. I didn't ride it much in that 3 weeks due to working commitments. It's a bit better now, but in my opinion it is a terrible freewheel to do that after 3 weeks. I've had Eno, and Try-all in the past, the Tensile has most definately been the worst of the three.
  6. Halfords bum boy. Also work in an independent motor spares, which is also a Cyclelife. Sell car parts and entertainment, motorcycle accessories, bicycles, bicycle parts, RC cars/planes/heli's, darts, kites, model kits. Anything that is cool we will sell, if we don't have it we will open an account if the demand is there. Get cost price on everything, which is actually awesome!
  7. Monsterous pigeon on the stump! The angle of your bike is ridiculous. I'm fairly free most evenings if you wanted some steadicam/stabilizer shots to add some variety mate.
  8. Tensile 96 click. Really need to take it apart and service all the grease out of it at one point.
  9. Thanks for the comments guys. I'm running Plazmatic CRV's on my front vee brake, and heatsink yellows in CNC backings rear. The front brake is gash, worked awesome on my old Echo urban wheel, but as you can see in the gap to front, I get a lot of slip. The Heatsinks are a lot better, a bit of slip but it's just technique really. I'm still keeping my bike but it's just if I ever do ride it again, I might make another video come a year or two, but it depends on the circumstances I suppose, until then.... Peace out.
  10. Well I think this may be it, this short video showing the same stuff I've ridden for the past year pretty much sums up my infrequent riding. I work a lot now, have barely anybody to ride with and hardly anywhere to ride. This is pretty much the opposite situation to what it was when I started trials. This video has been sitting in editing for the majority of this year, it was mainly filmed on tripod on my own, and I didn't think I would get the chance to get more footage for it, so rendered it as it was. Vimeo Video -> Original Video It's been nearly 4 years, but many good times!
  11. Only real place to buy them would be Halfords too. Be weary of places like Argos, for many of the sat navs they sell are branded as TomTom's but are not actually produced by TomTom. Almost in the same fashion that they sell Raleigh bikes which are exclusive to Argos, and that no Raleigh dealer can obtain. Price wise, Halfords will always win too. Check them out on their website and you can get a bit of discount by reserving it online, and you don't have to talk to a spaz in the store.
  12. Got my choice of accomodation through today, new address and everything ahaa. Actually buzzing, never moved before so this effectively is it for me!
  13. Fatter tube and smoother riding style. Riding style is the biggest factor, Matt Bird was riding completely slick Monty tyres on the rear of his KO mod, with a basic innertube he'd had for years with very little pressure (about 10psi if that). Although he was a street beast, he just knew how to land on it properly, only saw him get one pinch.
  14. I actually found that these pads work better on a smooth anodised rim with a bit of tar than on a ground rim. Literally gave my rim a grind and it is worse off. Echo Urban rims have the best braking surface imo!
  15. Captain Scarlet

    .,

They look slightly different than Echo tyres, I could have sworn that they have a solid block in the middle of the tyre, as apposed to a staggered one that is in the photos. What's the width also? it just looks like a 2.0" in the picture.
  16. Guy at work was telling me about this, sounds really good. Author Rob Penn travels the world collecting hand made bicycle parts to create his dream bike. Stuff like Brook's saddles etc from what I've heard. http://blogs.mirror.co.uk/blike-cycling-blog/2010/07/bbc4s-ride-of-my-life-the-stor.html
  17. I guess this is pretty mcuh turning in into drinking games, but this goes with the flow of the kinda thing you do on a mass night out, i.e stag do's etc. The finger length rule. When you put your drink down on the table, it must be more than a finger length away. So hold your hand into a fist, extend the index finger, place this on the table with the remaining fist/fingers on the edge of the table (acting as a stop for your finger), if your index finger can touch your friend's drink, then he/she has to down it. One I'm not so keen to but people have been doing to me lately is the penny toss. Basically when you are holding your drink, if someone manages to throw a penny into your glass or whatever you are drinking then you have to down it. The penny is then yours and you are the only person who can throw the penny.
  18. Yea I gave up with my rear disc as it rubbed ridiculous amounts, no matter how far I shimmed the calliper. I also found that the rotor hit against the frame, so there was one a few positions that you can place the wheel. Also likely to crack around the seat tube, where the weird tangly bits of metal are, I think they are designed to be there to crack as a stress point, as apposed to the frame crack in a more serious location.
  19. I am studying Film and Television production for 3 years. Well chuffed I managed the grade, entry was 300 ucas points unless they accepted me with less, but until my results come though I don't know exactly what I got. But Ucas have told me that I'm accepted and done! Hertfordshire is about an hour north west of my home, I'll be living there, not amazingly far away from home but still close-ish so it's not a bitch to travel.
  20. BUMP. How's everyone doing? Who's going where?
  21. Top video, I really enjoy all your videos man, ever since first seeing wawa vs katowice. Only thing I will say, is that I was a bit let down at the way it was edited, mainly the volume of the music and no riding noises. You and lucky are such smooth and powerful riders, yet you stick a loud music track on the video and no bike noises can be heard, so it doesn't make you guys look so smooth, even though your other videos have proved this.
  22. Booked again for exactly a month today, I'll get a photo of how my arm is coming along after that date, as there is a lot of shading/colouring to happen. Half sleeve should be done in 2 more 3 hour sessions. Can't wait!
