  1. So as the title says, I have a problem with my XP desktop where the Windows Audio box in Services under Administrative tools constantly unchecks itself, sometimes whilst I'm using the computer, and always when I turn my computer off. The end result is of course no sound from iTunes, Youtube or anywhere, but I don't know why it keeps on unchecking itself! Any help would be much appreciated!
  2. Same thing here Muel, under budgeting so I have a bit of a backup/savings... But of course, I'm not really taking the budget into account with freshers, it's going well....
  3. Captain Scarlet

Miss the old days of these pipes and when you guys used to ride.... best times of my life...
  4. I'm sure it's probably hard for someone who is in the situation, and I can't say whether my opinion would change in that situation as I have never encountered it. But as someone (can't remember who) previously said on this forum;
  5. Literally just found quite an important *.pdf related to my uni course 2 weeks before I start. I am doing a film and television production course, and to store video data in raw format/rendered format etc we are obliged to buy a hard drive to store upon. The specification need to be a minimum of 1 terabyte storage and firewire 800 transfer. I have seen a few about and have obviously done my Google searches but as this kit needs to last me my 3 years I don't want to buy myself a ropey one. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience in a particular make or ones to not go near. The second is a decent set of headphones for audio/sound editing, again these need to last me my 3 years and I really don't know where to begin, I'm talking actual headphones as in-ear ones are not adequate apparently. I'm prepared to pay a fair amount but obviously not ridiculous amounts that some span to. So really it was just checking what you all personally recommend, I know there's a couple of people here who have done respective uni courses or are quite experience in video editing, want to hear your opinions! Thanks guys... Tom
  6. Does not make the slightest difference. There is no relation between comfortable hand and comfortable foot. Nor does having left or right foot as most comfortable an advantage, except that your less likely to get your trousers caught in a chain/freewheel if your left foot forward.
  7. One that keeps on occurring for me is being pulled over by traffic police and finding loads of things wrong with my motorbike, when in real life I know it's all 100% legal and declared. Had so many where I have set of speed cameras or been caught going fast and losing my licence. Is there any way of making yourself dream at night, or making more vivid dreams?
  8. Such an awesome riding style, really smooth and inspiring. Just don't really understand why you put that gash music track over the top, it does not compliment your riding in anyway and covers up your riding noises which I can only pressume sound ultra smooth! Get rid of the music track put the riding noises back in!
  9. I thought it through and gapping is essentially the same technique as side hopping, except that weight is carried forward instead of upward. Just realising this made me improve me technique loads, such as pre-loads and respective tucking/extensions. Tyre pressures also has a big difference to pinch gapping as Danny said.
  10. Just gone on my Halls of residence Facebook page, also using YouGo from Ucas.
  11. Yea aspect ratio looks all foobarred! The gaps look tiny! Top sidehop from Neil from the wrong way for him ahah!
  12. Really don't understand what your getting at here pal? Did do one where I held it without moving, was actually perfect aha.
  13. There's generally two different frame sizes (long and short of course) and two different applications (street and comp). Few years back a long frame (such as ZOO! or anything by deng) would usually be set up with long and low handlebars with little rise, this is generally accepted as a street/TGS style of mod bike. Contrastingly, you had short mod frames (Monty's and slowly Koxx's) which were set with higher rise handlebars and higher stem, making them more comfortable on two wheels. This made them choice for competition riders. However at current day there is a bit of a merger, a lot of frames not being available in Long or short anymore, and higher rise handlebars becoming more popular. I ride a Limey 320 which is neither long or short, and have some Try-All rage bars on there. The set-up is just about perfect for any style of riding. Riser bars and shorter geometries are slowly taking over in my opinion.
  14. And was that in the tune of "Hot Ride" by The Prodigy? Check it at 00:53 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvmGbkYDWz4 Brilliant video, loved your style, your hooks seem so effortless. Just another question, what pad and rim set-up are you running?
  15. I'm one of those people that has to pause on the rear wheel momentarily before exerting pre-load/extension in a sidehop. Today I did this, and managed to hold the rear wheel balance for quite some time. Okay it's not the biggest of sidehops, but its nearly my biggest for me. I know that Damon is reputable for this technique, just wondering how big a pause someone has managed to take without hopping.
  16. Depends at the rate of growth really, 26" trials has only just got fairly specific trials parts in the last half a decade, 24" still has a bit of a way to go. Also depends if we are talking street 24" like Danny Mac, or general trials bike 24". I personally think that neither will become the number one choice of trials bike. With general trials, most people will either want the biggest (26" obviously) or the smallest trials bike (20") both having their own advantages. Think of it, You have the nimble lightweight and agile mod, or larger higher and generally fast stock. Having a 24" doesn't necessarily combine these two bike characteristics and is effectively more a 26" than a 20".
  17. I'm in the same boat, heard of a few people getting stung with fines because they potentially could be watching TV because the cable is there. I'm just gonna buy myself a bigger computer monitor, doesn't have a TV receiver so no potential to watch TV. Not sure whether to take my bike yet, but sure as hell not leaving it in the bike locks. Heard of some people doing different things with bikes in their room, Chai used to leave his under his bed (obviously with handlebars folded/off), also heard of one guy just hanging his bike out of the window with a bed sheet when they did the inspection.
  18. Does look like a neat idea, I think I am certainly bound to forget it when I come to purchase something online.
  19. Trialtech Sport stem, nice and light, moderately cheap and is the most universal length/angle. Then pretty much any riser bar, I personally prefer Try-All Rage bars, nice and light, good rise and not ridiculously wide! To be fair anything is better than the standard flat bars, they used to give me so much wrist cramp I have no idea how some decent riders manage to use them!
  20. Ah same man, handing in my notice for Halfords tomorrow so I can quit early, I'm on holiday from there at the moment, the place depresses me! Nothing is ever right there, it's literally a game of "who can fix all this shit in the least organised manner possible?" I move in on the 25th September, actually can't wait, buying myself a computer monitor so I look a lot less likely to be watching TV without a licence, and it's time for an upgrade....
  21. Biggest load of bs I've ever head. I and plenty of other riders run/have run Try-Alls, their wear rate for the amount of grip is tremendous, they wear at the same rate as a creepy crawler, no more, no less. But they noticeably have much better grip, whether it is the tread layout or the extra flex in the sidewalls allowing a better surface coverage. I've been running a set of Creepy Crawlers for almost 2 years and have not had a puncture or pinch in that time, my average pressure is around 15-20psi (front and rear). The sidewalls on Eagle claws tear/rip a lot quick from folding too much at lower pressure, the sidewalls also give little resistance or stability on sloped or cambered surfaces. This man speaks the truth!
  22. Ah I got my unconditional offer a while back as I did a BTEC so it doesn't go through the usual exam board malarkus. Result only just came through 2-3 weeks ago. Triple Distinction
  23. How did everyone do with their results?
