  1. Don't think big elabourate trials rigs, I mean those will obviously be winning potential but just think of all the moves you could do on just flat ground or just a small box perhaps? I mean on flatground, you've got all the front wheel moves (front hops, squeakers, tailwhips, one handed crankflip squeakers, spins, manuals, g turns), rear wheel stuff (crankflips, can cans, manuals, hops, spins). Think of the kind of stuff Danny Mac does, I'm sure his new move (Hippy jump for those who haven't see it yet), would be a perfect kind of crowd pleaser and it wouldn't be too hard to set-up.
  2. For learning, the better the brake then better. Now that I can ride well to an extent, I actually do like a brake that can slip a bit (not like really grabby), it just feels smoother which then makes my riding want to be smoother. As for incredibly crap brakes, you can still ride but not very well. I just think if your brake stops your rim (hold or not), your all set for trials.
  3. I think he must mean Kilometres. Oooh 2 weeks until I'm on the road.
  4. I worried about anything to do with bike failure, so thats chain snapping, BB snapping, brake slipping, anything I guess. If I didn't have to worry about those then I'd be fine. Oh I am worried about falling in off in general, as I can't bail for shit, you see people physically jumping away from the bike or letting go of the handlerbars, I stay clung to the bike and hurt myself more.
  5. Nice selection of bikes there. Looks like Chris has got competition.
  6. That looks insane. What is the overall weight?
  7. Just a shame it wasn't your manhood really.
  8. *Cups balls in hand to check they are still good* EDIT: And thats MY balls if anyone takes that comment as homosexual
  9. That is a pretty sick gap Ryan, I never did get how your technique works, it looks so buggered, but it works? Its like you start too far away, but you use it as a run up, damn good.
  10. I think the idea of initially restricting a ped to 30mph so it is safe for a 16 year old is probably the most stupid thing ever. I understand that the rider is less likely to have accidents due to his own fault by not being able to do stupid speeds, but 30mph is not fast enough to keep up with other vehicles, and is likely to create accidents in cars overtaking. I've recently put a depost down on a Yamaha Aerox, something twist and go to get me used to the road before moving onto gears or a 125. 1 previous owner, 1800km, pretty much immaculate, and the dealer is derestricting it for me. I don't see why everyone knocks peds and 50's, its probably one of the easiest and cheapest ways of getting about, and are just generally fun.
  11. Echo's! Wear life is amazingly decent too.
  12. Amazing Andy, just amazing, a good collection of everything East Anglia. I want to ride some of those spot, especially Norwich when its not freezing cold. =D How much did the HD set you back?
  13. I'm liking the white, 'tis nice and plain. Are those dents in the rear rim?
  14. It was lucky your snail cam snapped at the end of the day Tom, otherwise the result would probably not been anywhere near as good. I didn't fair up so well, but it was one of those bendy educational things......, learning curve or whatever you want to call it. I haven't seen the guy on the 20" Zhi before, he looked pretty ace from what I saw.
  15. I think its unecessary to change a set of forks each year, he already gave them a large change last year. I mean, what exactly is there to change?
  16. Whats the business about using a 26 tensioner on a mod? I could do with one, as I've run out of tension on my snail cams, and my chain is loose, if I take a link out its too short. (and without half links please).
  17. I guess there's the joke factor that people will see in forgetting my name, but mainly I just like my family history/lineage. The name is unique, and it reminds me of my dad, grandad, and even further generations of my family, so in a way its almost nostalgic.
  18. I am really liking that UV skeleton one, thats pretty mint. I'll be able to get a tatoo in a couple of years (much to the delight of my mum), my dad has them so why not me eh? I'm just thinking of "Hutley", on my inside forearm area in an Old English font. I like my surname, means a lot to me. I dad has got a eagle covering the majority of his bicep, when he got it done in the 70's it only cost him £12. Also, how do revealing or easily seen tattoo's affect employment opportunities?
  19. Was a pretty insane ride, I can't believe I managed to manual the majority of the pier hill, that was my highlight of the day. Also put some names to faces.
  20. My draw actually dropped, and the half chewed biscuits almost fell out. How???, just as I get over him doing one move, he just goes even crazier.
  21. They are the same frame? I personally feel that the 07/08 model is a big change to the 06 one, the short seat tube creates a small gap, making the frame lower and neater, which in my opinion looks amazing. I'm running an Echo rear hub, in my Echo lite frame and my wheel clamps in place perfectly, I'll admit when I first got it I didn't think snail cams would hold well but its very well designed and accurate to hold the wheel tightly in place, so there is little flex in the frame when the wheel bolts are done up. Whilst we are on the rant of Deng, why does he make the new 26" GU disc frame with disc and 4 bolt mount?, yet he makes the 20" frame with just a disc?
  22. Was a pretty good ride, obviously it was much trickier due to the mud, but I guess it did me good to try something I never normally do. Well done to Rankin from what I saw. =D
