  1. Drinking from the can I understand (obviously moving the can to your mouth and tilting your head means your not looking at what is ahead). But actually holding the can then no, all this talk of must always hold and be in control of the vehicle, what about times when you need to indicate in bad conditions (such as harsh light, so an arm signal is needed to reinforce the light indicator). I only thing I can think of is that obviously if something bad happened whilst indicating with your arm, is that you can always pull your arm in a short amount of time to regain control of the car, (of course this can't be done with a can of drink as you either drop it and spill it, or continue to hold it, but not control the car effictively whilst holding it). How full was the can, because if it was empty or near empty I would definately try to appeal against the decision.
  2. Part timer at an Auto spares shop (conveniently called Autoparts), which also sells bikes and remote control goods (I guess its a shop for boys toys). Ace place, I couldn't be working anywhere better; pay is good, discount is immense, and its a real good working environment. I've known the people who work there for ages, and we all share the same interests (Xbox, bikes, cars, RC goods, Food, etc), so its also socialising.
  3. Ah your not at the competition on Sunday? Or do you mean Saturday?
  4. My dad bought a mk5 Escort for £100, previous owner also fitted new tyres for that. Just a few cosmetic bits on the outside, some rust obviously, bit of fibreglass here and there, but interior and engine is all sweet as a nut.
  5. I'd be up for riding. I know Reece can't as Trials-UK haven't got his replacement frame yet. But yea I'd go if anyone else is?
  6. Foam grips are absolutely pointless in the wet, (whilst actually raining), as water gets in and they slip off. But who actually rides in the wet? Try-All foam grips/or TrialTech ones are the best as they fit to the bar very well and last much longer than Halfords ones.
  7. Where one all the time. It hides my mess of hair, shows people that you have some sense as you have considered your own personal safety, combine this with courtesy towards pedestrians and you'll be a good trials rider in no time. It adds a professional look to the sport, but the main reason is to keep yourself safe. Anyone who says they are too good, or too in-experienced for a helmet needs to get a life.
  8. What is the point in this post? If you are sponsored by a company they don't get to choose as to where you ride and when you can ride. The idea of a sponsor is that they give you their items (usually for free or cheap), which you can wear or use for your riding, to get their name out. Benefits, well the main one being free parts. I wouldn't worry about getting sponsored, only the minority of the trials community is sponsored.
  9. Yea get a ride posted up when your frame gets here. I'm calling a Friday, somewhere like Colchester or so?
  10. I only really bought it for the online play. Something different to Call of Duty 4 I guess, new maps, guns, and some nice new perks. I was playing with a guy earlier who had been on for 1 day 2 hours and he had already prestiged once and was rank 24 of that prestige. I'm in 27 at the moment. I never got to the top rank on COD4, so I might try it on 5.
  11. Riding was nice, some big stuff in there, I liked the sidehop from the bench, looked huge. My criticism will be the same as always, it is good to see a few big moves and such, but I'd love to see a whole unbroken line as Mr. Travis said, just posting up one clip of one move, it may have taken you ages to land the sidehop, but from the point of the viewer, we don't know that (not saying you can't do moves consistently). A line however, it may not have as big moves to it, but I'd rather see a consistent line with smaller moves, than a consistent sidehop. I guess if its old clips then you couldn't really do much about it, but you've heard the peoples opinions on here, so I'll look forward to what your next video brings.
  12. What kind of lights has your bike got, riding down a road with no street lighting is near death on a moped, I have to rely on the car in front or the car behind for my light to see. And if you read further I said I could get up at 5, and then the sun would eventually come up. Well my dad got in at 11:30, so he took me to ASDA last night, wasn't really expecting the huge queue there, lined up and waited, got the the kiosk and the woman was like; "Oh sorry, we sold out of Xbox copies ages ago, we only had 13 in stock, we've got plenty of PS3 copies though". I was fuming at how they let all the Xbox owners wait in line, when they knew there was none left, but yet didn't tell us. Feel like complaining, because for a store that has to serve a 20 mile radius, its bad that had little stock on a release of an incredibly popular game, and a ridiculously low price. And what kind of stock is 13 anyway?, you don't get sent an odd number of products, usually a nice even number, so I bet the staff snaffled a lot of them. So I went to a 24 hour Tesco's, no queues, tons of stock, but £39.97. I guess once the offers are off they'll all be at that price anyway.
  13. A bit of a bump I guess. I was just wondering if anyone at Onza knew of when Moore Large is likely to be getting stock of Onza parts and accessories, I was to order some Hognesium pedals but only to be given a vague time of when they would be in. Cheers,
  14. COD5 is £27 in ASDA, my nearest ASDA being about 12 miles away, I did fancy a nice midnight cruise on my moped to buy the game as ASDA is 24hours and released tomorrow morning, so I can then play it all morning. But then again my moped and night really don't mix, anyone who was riden a moped at night knows why. So I think I'm just going to get up at 5, go for a nice cruise whilst its still dark, and the sun will gradually come up, and then play the game for the rest of the day.
  15. Ditto man, I need to get an idea of how much I need to save. Costs of tent pitchs etc? I'll probably train it there if I get an idea on price.
  16. For trials it has to be XC style helmet all the way, I just personally think they look and feel better. Only downside is that it does not have the same strength as a pisspot, which can take a few good knocks before you think about replacing, where a XC helmet is likely to need replacing after one good knock.
  17. I'm very tempted to go for a racing chair in my room. Main reasons for it is that I can chuck out my defunt desk and all the clutter with it (I guess the chair itself gives me the motivation to), it would give me a bit more space in my room (especially once folded), and it would be good to have a nice comfortable chair. Oooh sounds like a plan.
  18. Always bring this one up. That was me 4 years ago, and the picture was a week after having a blod clot removed from my brain, which was caused by a fractured skull. (From not wearing a helmet). I always wear my helmet now, even though your more likely to hit your head in the beginning stages of riding, you just never know when its going to happen. And its not that I wear a helmet because I'm more at risk to head injury after my ordeal, I am all fine and normal and share the same risk of head injury again as anyone else. It only takes one mistake to cause a little fall, which may have great consequences. And you don't have to worry about doing your hair if your wearing a helmet.
  19. If your having trouble getting the front wheel up, changing the bars will make some difference, but combined with changing the stem can make a massive difference to how your bike currently rides.
  20. (*) Wide angle lense? Probably not, everyone knows that young girls are really easy to get, they are so immature and easily impressed. Lack of girl trouble for me, got a girl I've always known and liked coming over tomorrow, to watch a movie and whatnot. Whether it leads to something or not, its still nice to spend some time with her. =D
  21. I've never had a FBM shirt or hoody, I could easily do with both. I won't be designing anything but will willingly support the cause. And remember with winter coming up, all the more reason to buy a hoody. =D
  22. Was a good day, rain was only bad at like one point, and was fine for the rest of the day. Rankin and Steve-Os bollard to wall gap was mental.
  23. Not a bad idea, shame it doesn't work with the size of the cogs on a trials bike.
  24. You on Mod Steve? Should have someone else coming from my way. Wooo it'll be good to ride. =D
  25. Was only like last year though. I'll be in Chelmsford at 10:30, (providing the weather is good).
