  1. To protect the forks I'd imagine. Nice set-up, not sure if it tops the old Hydroxx paintjob though.
  2. No it was one of the new Team issue Ashton/Diamondback bikes. 24" dual disc "Effect" model with green hope bits.
  3. Here are some that Steve Tiller (Zona Zip with blue rims) got. (some are screenshots) Danny Mac's practice gap Hermances loading bay gap Hermance and Wesley Puncture repair time Rolling gap!
  4. That was me. Tom Hutley - Onza Limey 20" The guy who was with Andrei on the 20" Limey was mental, never seen or heard of him before, really nice style.
  5. The oldest component of my bike is my rear brake, which is the only original component of my first bike (and all the bikes inbetween). This is about 2.5 years old and until last month, still had the original bleed.
  6. I didn't understand a word he said, yet my friend managed to hold some intense conversation with him...? Best ride I've ever been on, obviously for the atmosphere. Mental day, saw some old faces, faces from the internet and new ones. Bought some of Mr. Singleton's Phat pads, ironically my Cousts came back to live during the ride. Highlights would be Hermance teabagging his stem (anyone know how this happened?, I only saw the aftermath), Danny Mac's mega gap at St. Pauls. Aside from the Southbank security, there really wasn't any hassle from police or other security, (oh and at St. Pauls were Jack had a talking to). Big thanks to Jack for sorting out the maps and almost being the scapegoat of the day. EDIT: oooh just seen this on the BBC website; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7917842.stm did anyone else catch Morph outside Tate?
  7. Mental stuff, some good pictures there Joe. Vince's loading bay gap was nothing compared with Danny Mac's gap at St. Pauls
  8. Aahah, never thought about that, got the perfect image in my head. I reckon we should have a group photo. =D Crikey this ride has soon come around quick, I haven't been this excited since the group rides I used to go on when I first started trials.
  9. Onza have made the beginner market even better this time, the pedals look like an improvement over the gastly T-Vee pedals used on the older models. I loved my old T-Pro frame, but the new one having 4 bolt and a disc, in built chain tensioners, no problems in upgrading this one. I too will have to steal this one off you Sunday morning Dan. =D
  10. Changed my gamertag, a bit of a college joke going on here.
  11. Set of pads and backings please. =D
  12. Decent chain tension, disc mount and 4 bolt on the same frame.
  13. Even if its only radio, you still need a performing rights licence, its the only way we can legally do it at the small autoshop I work at.
  14. Upon discovering my little belly, i've going with the Paul McKenna; "I will make you thin" book, some damn good material in there in such a short book, also says to not mention it as a diet as it isn't, its a way of life. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Can-Make-You-Thin-..._pr_product_top The reviews say it all, its a brilliant read. Basically 4 rules; eat when you are hungry, eat what you want to eat, enjoy and eat your food properly, finish when you are full. Its sounds ridiculous I know but theres a lot more of a thinking behind it, the main rule is to enjoy your food, and to do this you eat at a slow and steady rate so you can get a full sense of flavour and texture, but also the pace you eat ate gives chance for your body to catch up and acknowledge how much food you've eaten. Following this I've been eating half the amount of what I usually would (I'm not starving myself, just by eating properly you will know when you are full). It delves into why starving yourself is bad for you and can keep you at the same weight for the less amount of food. And the best part is, you eat the foods you want to eat.
  15. Same here, looks like Mike is gonna end up with a big wad of cash at the end of this ride. I'll be there in my largeish glasses, I think everyone should turn up in a hi viz jacket.
  16. Some damn good advice above, I could think of a lot of mates who should act like that, rather than disowning someone or giving in to the girl. I can keep her sweet if you like Ryan...? Nah on a more serious note, am I right in thinking your still with A?, wasn't there a whole incident with her a while back? I agree with Simps, keep with your current (although saying that sound like your after an upgrade) girlfriend and see what happens, if it goes arse over tit with her then problem solved. But aside from that, why risk what may be the start of a solid relationship (what with no arguments as of recent), are you certain you could get with this Chelmsford bird? it might be a big push and you could walk away with nothing. Corr this is like a game of Goldenballs, Split or Steal? =D
  17. My school started getting ridiculous by the time I was about to leave, basically a new headteacher came to power and changed the school in mental proportions (it is almost like a new school now, and he's been there for about 3 years), so in some ways this is very good. But a lot of it was just to show off his importance, and make himself look good, he did bring in a nice new uniform but the gash idea of uniform cards and clip-on ties (for safety apparently), yet rather than peanutting each others ties, it became a game of unclipping the tie and pummeling each other in the head with the solid clip mechanism. Definately sounds overboard at your school, get your parents involved and get them to complain about it, especially in the current economic climate, some people can't afford to go out and buy jackets on that short a notice.
  18. I ultimately feel safer riding with other people, so I am more likely to try bigger stuff around other people. Best way to ride is as a small group, all with near equal skill levels always pushing each other to go bigger. Although I do love going out for a calming ride with my iPod on.
  19. Corr someone buy it to modify it, I'm having to cringe at the weight that could be saved. Disk mount, bash guard, tyre tread, shorter hoses, the little collar on the presta valves, and whatever else a dremmel can sort. Please do one in a mod version. =D
  20. Cannot wait, its gonna be pointless to bring the bike as I'll be gazed at all of top riders all day.
  21. Well Halfords innertubes are just your standard rebranded "Cheng-Shin" tube, placebo effect you've got there. Or your spokes cause a lot of punctures.
  22. Does it make the knocking noise when riding? (with weight on it?) If so it can be one of or a combination of 4 things; Pedals, Chain, Cranks, Bottom Bracket, (Most likely the bottom bracket but always go through this process). Are your cranks loose or worn?, double check by tightening them up, does the noise still occur? If no, then problem solved. Are the bearings in your pedals knackered?, put a friend's pedals on see if that makes any difference. Chain?, is your chain in good condition (and the respective cogs), check for missing teeth and that your chain is well lubed. And lastly bottom bracket, it may have just come loose over time, so take your cranks off and give it a good tighten (remember the drive side is a reverse thread). If the noise still occurs, you will need to replace your bottom bracket, as I'm assuming you one is sealed and the bearing is irreplaceable (unless you have a Try-All bottom bracket where you can just buy a new cartridge bearing).
  23. Like has been said already in the topic, no point in doing a preview, your not exactly selling a DVD or anything so theres no need to make some kind of preview for it. Keep working with it man, I'm glad to see that your appreciative of what everyone has to say (good and bad), and that you've got the basic trials moves down. Stick with it and you'll be improving loads in no time.
  24. I was standing about a metre away from my bike today (which was leaning up against the railings in the skatepark), just adjusting the manual settings of my camera on it. And then randomly, this young kid on an x-rated jump bike just stopped inbetween my bike and camera (I was backed in a corner as well so I wasn't exactly in a desired area of the park), and then he gave me a blank look.
