Famous left foot forward trials bikers. Neil Tunnicliffe, Michal Nowak, Benito Ros. Tunni is a good one to mention, as although he is left foot forward, he actually sidehop to his left, if you ever look at his tuck when he goes over a rail or on a wall, you will see it is really weird and awkward. Really doesn't matter as long as it works, in the example of Tunni he was doing 50" sidehops, so might be wrong to everyone else but works perfectly well with him.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a change between them. Your talking a 4 year gap between models, there will have been a good few changes to the car somwhere in that time, was there a change of shape or style to the car? And of course, any little change in one area have knock on changes throughout the car, so the part in question might not have changed, everything else might have. I know nothing on the mechanics side of cars but know from selling parts and spares that is is essential to look up parts by correct car info (year, engine size, petrol or diesel etc).

Nice, this is going to waste so much time at the GP's, every OAP is going to think they have swine flu!!

Mental, I'm loving the smooth/bouncy style, the Onza looks like its made your riding so much more controlled. And to top the big music debate, Lamb of God is metal. It is not; screamo, emo, or any other estrogen fueled genre.

Completely forgot about QWERTY, added it. Two key is where you use 2 key presses for each desired letter. So if I wanted the letter 'H', I would press the number 4 as that is the key 'H' appears on, then the number 2 as that is the position 'H' is in on the number 4 key. If I wanted 'O' that would be '6, 4'

Music is an important factor, choose a music track and then edit your clips to it. Its no use picking a slow paced song, to then find that once you've edited your footage in some sort of pace with the music, that you have a really boring and uninteresting video. I find that rock/metal is the best music to use, its a popular genre, usually has a good beat and a bit of variation to play with. If you've picked a good track and edited to it well, best thing to remember is simplicity, you don't need any fancy titles, and the only clip transitions you will need are a jump cut or a simple fade. Vimeo Video -> Original Video This is my favourite video I've made, although I've been editing for sometime, I like to keep my videos basic, rather than adding; titles, weird cutaways, wider variety of shot composition and other properties that more professional looking videos may incorporate.

So long as the dictionary has a few of my abstract words in it, predictive texting wins for me every time. What's your preferred method of texting and why?

Teenage Angst Communal Agony Aunt Thread

Ino the feeling, my ex got with one of my mates within a matter of days of breaking up with me, makes me glad I'm not with her anymore. Girl troubles; How do you tell a girl that you like her/How do you take the next step with a girl? I've started seeing someone recently, who I think I got on really well with and would like to see her more. However, my self esteem isn't the greatest with girls when it comes to phase two. I personally think I am really good at breaking the ice and giving a good initial impression, but when it comes to anything action wise I just don't know how to move things from friendship, to that limbo that is an open relationship, whats the best way to show/say "I'm not a homo who's here for the social"? -
I'm satisfied with my 108 freewheel, I've had it for 1 and 1/2 years, and not had any; skips, funky noises, bits coming loose, or general agro that my Eno gave me. If they made the 108 freewheel serviceable (then again this would make the lockring not as reliable), it would easily be the best freewheel on the market.

That sounds like a good testimonial, I lost confidence with my magura, after trying the pads which every swore by such as; Coustsinks, and PhatPads (which both alledgely worked on just about any rim surface), I had no joy from them what so ever and had to rely upon tar. Just seen the new ML catalogue at work today, I was tempted to phone up a while ago and see if they had stock of the new pro rims, my wheels are in need of a rebuilt, and a bit of pimpness.

I don't see what was wrong with the Meta, I'd have that over this anyday. =D

Thats a good tip, didn't think of that one. Only reason why I asked is that I've got to wait nearly a week for my rear brake to come back from hope, so its plenty of time to play around on the front wheel and get this move dialed. Cheers for the input, I'll let you know how I get on.
-
Right, I assume I've got the name right, if not I'll just clarify the move. Best example I can show is the move seen in many of Mr. Macaskill's videos, at 1:08 in one. I can do a lot of front wheel moves (front hops, squeakers, 360 drop offs, and reverse nose drop offs), but this is the one move which I seen done quite a lot, and I still can't get my head around. Front what I understand, its essentially a 180 endo, followed by a good balance point, and using your momentum you release the front brake to continue the rotation. I can do the first 180 no problem, but by the time I come to release my brake there is very limited travel on the front wheel. Just wanted to hear from people who have mastered this moves, and good tips for learning, I've covered the knack on other front wheel tricks ages ago, by playing with balance points and how much sweep your feet have against the pedals when you lift the rear wheel up for a nose exit, but this one is still something really difficult. Cheers, EDIT: another really good example here at 0:50,

Thats a damn interesting point, many famous internet stars have made it onto TV in some other form. Most notorious I can think of is the body popping guy, David Elsewhere, who has starred in adverts, to films.

The only thing I don't like so much about the Onza inbuilt tensioning, is the fact how you can't slam the wheel right into the drop out as far as it could go with say chain tugs or snail cams. And upon fitting my rear disc, I noticed that the rotor is ridiculously close to the large bulk on metal on the chainstay/seatstay join, probably about 2mm away from touching. Easily bodgable, but it just scared me to hell at first.

I dad taught me of it, never got it in school. I was walking around bearing a large flag I bought the day before, all my mates were like; "wtf are you doing that for your a twat, oh and if your truely British then you have to wear and eat British products". I was on the verge of punching them, 1. It's England, not Britain. 2. Have they never heard of the British Empire? But yea I'm all for making it a bank holiday, it needs to be.
-
@ the brakepads, I should have them as I will put them to little use due to switching to rear disc on my limey. Its a shame I had to send the brake back to Hope though, way too much pad wobble for my liking. =( But when it does come back, I'll hopefully beast my riding up a bit (watching all these videos from not riding is making me twitch like hell), and I'll soon make a video.

So long as you can talk normally before they go on, then you will have no problems speaking (after a day or so). Have you had a retainer before?, I had one which was to settle my teeth in until an actual brace, I actually found that more annoying and painful than the brace itself. Only other thing I will say is don't eat toffee when its in, just ripped the crown bit right off my tooth.
-
Nice set-up you got going there, looks and most likely sounds good. However as for cutting tread off, you've done literally nothing, MattBird made his tyres completely slick apart from this rear one which has one side for sidehops.

I should have transport in the form of a large motorcycle by summer 2010, and surely my leathers and helmet will double up as protection on the kart too. So long as I have transport, I'm be down for it, I've never done karting before! And whatever the option, whether its a tag team endurance or a half hour of everyone out on track, it sounds mental.

I work part time in a small independant hobby store, selling anything from car parts to bicycles to RC vehicles. Its what I have done for the past 2 years. I got the job as I attended a Minimoto (sold by them) race meet which they organised, and when I got into trials I went through them to buy my first trials bike. Since those two events I went in to the shop weekly, just talking to them finding out more about the people who worked there, soon built up a relationship with the shop, and when summer came they chose me as a part timer to fill in whilst schoolkids were on holiday. The only reason I was chosen, is that I am the only young person about who filled their criteria (has experience and a passion in some of the products they sold, and they had a good amount of trust with me). 2 years on, I love it, theres a few things about it that get me down and I think "Hmm I want to go to a more corporate larger retailer?", but have some real good times at my current employer and love the relaxed environment. As well as access to the work shop and lots of bike parts, and having lots of accounts open with lots of companies means I can get trade on just about anything.

I'd go the standard echo lites, nice basic and simple fork. Strength to weight ratio is good, and they won't cost you an arm and a leg either. I compared them with my mates SL forks, the actual leg on the SL is much thinner, a lot less metal there, really they should just take the normal Lite forks and drill the same holes the SL has, forget the idea of using less material.
