  1. Similar situation here. Whatever 320 Ucas points work out as. Should be good though, got 160 points in my first year for doing squat, just a repeat of that and I should be sorted.
  2. I believe that is Barrow Farm, In Chelmsford, Essex. Seen here, http://www.radicalbikes.co.uk/
  3. The taps, and that gap from bollard to electrical box?
  4. Have you checked the condition of your TPA? If the red TPA wheel has lost its thread (just over time and use), it cannot grip the lever rod, which affects how much your brake pulls in/bites. Just take out your lever blade, unscrew the TPA and if all is good give the threads a lube for good measure. I've had the same problem in the past, feels exactly like ripping your hosing, or putting your TPA all the way to minus.
  5. I'm very tempted to go for some form of 24", still stuck whether to go down the trials/inspired route, or go for a jump style with sus forks up front. Can get some good deals on pretty much everything at work, including a set of Marzocchies written off a Banshee x, so cost wise its not too much for a fairly good set-up. Post yours up, I seriously need a ganders!
  6. There's about 4 guys who still ride in Clacton, unfortunately they don't post here very often. If your on Facebook you can add them. There's Rob Rook from Point Clear, Scott Davis from Jaywick, Darren King and Jacob Junczyk. Colchester wise, there's about 3-4 guys who ride there, 2 of them are fairly new to trials so they would be ideal to learn with (assuming that you are just starting out) I'm from Braintree, which is only a short train ride away to the lovely rocks in Clacton, and there's another lad here who rides.
  7. If your left arm crank arm comes loose, it creates a wobble, which then wears away at the taper as it is a softer metal than the BB it is contacting against. Once the taper has worn a tiny bit, no matter how much you tighten it by, it will always have a wobble and wear loose. New LH crank arm is needed, and ensure you tighten it during and after the first few rides on it.
  8. As said, my problem is sorted now, but it wasn't the rotor as the wheel moved with the pad wobble itself.
  9. That looks awesome! I'm so going white with my parts.
  10. I'm just going for project cheap, about £80 a week for a room with shared facilities. Working out with my grants and that, after all that I'll have £140 a week to live on.
  11. I didn't get much joy out of the steps above, but I can only assume I didn't get enough of the paint off. Either way, this problem went away by itself whilst riding, moral of the story. I'm a pansy.
  12. If it gets you on the wall, its a sidehop. Do whichever way feels comfortable to you. I learnt to forward foot, pushed myself to learn in the direction of my back foot (so I could tuck better and therefore go higher), and eventually got that too. Just remember that a lot of riders out there sidehop in the direction of their forward foot. Neil Tunnicliffe being one of them, and I think he can do about 50".
  13. 9-10 is perfect for me geeza! I'm whacking the camera on charge.
  14. It is a good point to aim your wheel, so even if you don't tap the wall, your back wheel is more focused on the edge. That's generally what I do (Mod, so tapping is a lot harder than on a stock), rarely does my front wheel ever hit, but I just ensure I'm not touching the front brake so if it does hit, I make the most of the extra boost.

  16. Never been pulled in the 2 years that I've been on the road with mopeds and now my motorbike. I play everything by the book, and always smile whenever I see a police car behind me, knowing that there is absolutely nothing wrong with my; insurance, tax, mot, bike, or my gear. Even my exhaust is declared on the insurance. So much so, that my front tyre is nearing legal limits, so I'm limiting how much I'm out on it.
  17. BUMP Got conditionals back from Hertfordshire and Middlesex, unsuccessful for Bournemouth. How's everyone else doing?
  18. I think you should add another poll option for the final question. The biggest thing I look for in a new frame is the price.
  19. The mod still owns, such a ghetto machine! Theres still a touch of orange paint on a wall in Btree when you went to chainstay on a sidehop when the paintjob was new.
  20. Best make one out of hosing or tyres, from what I have seen. There used to be a make of one called "Amourdillo" which velcroed on like a chainstay protector, and had rods inside to give more physical protection and rigidity. Not too sure if they are about at all anymore.
  21. I absolutely love my Try-All 108.9 freewheel, I've been running it for over 2 years now and still feels as good as it did from day one. I've probably a few skips or slips in that time, but I'm talking a small handful here. I was doubtful about it first because of it not being serviceable, but as said 2 years and it's sweet as a nut.
  22. Looks like its based on the Limey 320, although this looks a lot more basic.
  23. Elisha Cuthbert Used to be 3-4 people on here who had her as an avatar.
