I'm going to drop the days I want off into work tomorrow! Hopefully I can join on in some way, such a shame that I can't afford a car but can a motorbike, which is a bit useless in this situation. Anyone know what the first date is where the tour actually moves, or what date it is likely to be? Like the day we ride Southend and then move onto the next place the next day? Its just that getting time off work is a mission and this could save me an extra saturday.

Dream Day In Your Dream Car Or A Day With Her.
Captain Scarlet replied to Simpson's topic in Chit Chat
If the girl knew exactly what I liked, had the the perfect style and everything then it would be the girl every time. -
It is more happier on 2 wheels than 1 I can easy say. Having owned both this and the Limey 320, I can say that the 320 is miles better with rear wheel control. There's not a big difference in geo, so I can only assume its the BB height that gives it this advantage. The 320 is a better option if you can afford the extra £50.

Yea thats better than my £200 Sony Handycam, but then again you've got to remember the larger handycams are more a larger product, having still image functions, touch screen display, zooms, better storage capacity etc. Really enjoyed watching, just for the future you need to shorten the clips, and have a bit of a fitting track. Bike looks awesome for a basic build! Would say wear a helmet but I can see that your likely to invest in one so you can film from it.

Sorted! this sounds like the biggest local ride I've been on in years! I LOVE YOU ALL!

No worries chap, we've all had to start at some point, will be glad to meet you and see you develop your riding! We can meet you whatever time you come up, did you want my number to give us a shout when you arrive?

I recent had a go on Mr Rankin's Koxx which had a set of the single cage Try-All superlight pedals, soon finding that they are stupidly grippy when compared to my Onza Hognesiums! Looking on Tarty, I see that Echo do an equivalent at half the price, the only major difference grip wise is that the pins don't look so pronounced/sharp, which I imagine would be less grippy. I was just wondering if anyone has tried both and if there is much of a difference in grip, to save myself a fair bit of money really. Cheers,

If You Had Any Choice, Where Would You Live?
Captain Scarlet replied to Ash-Kennard's topic in Chit Chat
I'd love to live in an American suburb somewhere, just the stereotypical streets with all the detached houses you see on American TV shows. Perfectly smooth pavements, mail boxes, garbage cans, that kind of thing. I suppose the novelty would wear off after a while. Another one would be Japan, I just love Japanese culture and heritage, some of the old temples/pagodas look like the most beautiful and tranquil places on earth, especially just before the Autumn. In the UK, I'd love to be somewhere with a view, either on the south west coast near Devon (very nostalgic to me), or somewhere away from city out in the sticks with some valleys. Its too flat in Essex! -
Yo chaps! After having a bit of a chat with the main man Luke of Colchester, we are planning to ride on friday afternoon/evening. We are riding after 5, presumably meeting at either the roundabout or sloped orange walls (Luke will probably confirm this). Hopefully some new faces on the scene too, so lets get on this and keep Essex alive!

Absolutely top riding but the edit was naff! Sounds like you've cranked the levels of the audio track way up in the edit (looks like vegas to me), so when you've rendered its all distorted on playback. Its displaying with the horrible widescreen bars so the picture is really small, I can't see alot when the camera is composed in a wider shot. And finally the track used does not fit your style of riding or the editing what so ever! Your such a smooth rider, use a more relaxed pace song and turn the audio levels down a bit so we can hear how smooth you ride.

The one thing I would not like would be the retail sector shafting me of money. This will sound really cheap but...? Going by XE.com, £4.99 = €5.73. Retail wise that would probably rounded up to €5.99/€6.00 or more, and as Brits we would always work out roughly what it equates to in pounds, lets face it we all do this on holiday. The only problem is that if this same product was say €6.99/€7.00 (£6.07 pounds exactly) in our heads when we work it out in pounds roughly we would be losing out by our own calculations, and also if we go by the previous price that it was in pounds. Kinda hard to explain, but I can see losing up to £1 on transactions under £15, might not be much but if someone put up your favourite magazine or demanded an extra £1 for the purchase then you wouldn't have much of it.

Nothing about that you can adapt to fit on as far as I'm aware. A guy who I've ridden with had a custom Ti frame manufactured by Triton, who added lugs to the chainstay with a custom made metal protector that bolts on. Its protected him a few times, and the frame is awesome (custom geo, affordable for what it is, etc) The only problem I can see is that hitting the protector could cause damage to the frame itself, I for one would rather bend rotors than frames. Not much you can do to be fair, horses for causes really.

Stress fracture. It doesn't have to form in a certain area for the particular type of move you do, tensile stress occurs all over your frame. Think of it as a little wave of energy that travels around your frame every time to transfer some weight/power through it, over time the metal flex's/stresses and eventually cracks. These old Onza's were notorious for cracking around the welds, on the later models they were replaced with smoother welds and open ended gussets so the stress can be alleviated rather than accumulated at the join.

Looking at the comments I actually lol'd at the person who asked what the name of the song was, its pasted in about 3 different places on the video!

Makes you far better controlled and better at other aspects of riding, if I had the effort to remove and replace my brakes regularly then I'd do it much more often. It's only when you don't have your brakes that you realise how much you tap them or hold them, especially when remaining static/balancing before a move, riding brakeless gives you a whole new perspective on how to use your body weight on your bike. Until I went brakeless I could do nothing without brakes, but when I did I managed to sidehop 30" over tape (and not touch), and gap 6 foot (2 wheels to 2 wheels obviously). Not bad bearing in mind that my biggest with brakes is 38" sidehop and 6 foot gap.

Depends if its a fear or if you just generally don't fancy it. To me, a fear of rollercoasters would mean not being able to look at them or go anywhere near them. I'd go for a big amusement park place, like Alton Towers, Thorpe Park etc, as the seats on their rollercoasters strap you down in just about every which way direction possible. Air being the best example, it's not exactly scary because your pretty much bolted in, which no chance of falling out. You go on something like the Pepsi Max you'll find it much scarier because of the diddy little carts they put you in.

A Poll! Rear Brake Disc Or Hs33
Captain Scarlet replied to Dansta1991's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Recently gone back to rim brakes front and rear after running dual disc. Both brakes have their advantages, at the moment I'm finding rim brakes much easier to set-up and far better hold. -
Doesn't look like he can bail like a bmxer yet.
