Well Beckham loves football, and to be payed for what you love doing is great, but for that kind of money. Its amazing. I think its stupid when you get footballers complain about every little thing in footbal, but I don't see how the hell you can complain when being payed that much, its ridiculous.

Regarding a teacher and a video of him appearing on YouTube, although I was not the one who submitted it. Either way the video has been removed.

Hmn I'm not very good at copying text, I prefer to type what I am thinking, or even this one: http://www.offthewrist.com/index.jsp?id=ff How fast can you type the alphabet? My best was either 3 or 3.5 seconds, unfortunately I don't have the picture to prove it. I have got one from 4 seconds though.

Hmn I was bored yesterday, as I've been suspended from school for 3 days, so I decided to edit this classic episode of pingu, adding the subtitles that you weren't supposed to see. Arson Sam and Dubbed Postman pat for inspiration. And I'm not a chav myself, but I love to laugh at them, as you will find. Enjoy, Tom

Is There Any Makes Of Trials Stuff You Hate
Captain Scarlet replied to Ollie Y's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
At my age and income during my life, I can't really say any trials is crap. For a beginner, a trials bike is a trials bike, its something you learn on, although depending on the bike it may be a little bit harder. I think you can only hate something, if you hate it to the point that if you was given it for free, you would still throw it away. And currently there isn't anything (or hardly any) that I would do that to. Probably a Mission Reefer and thats about that. As for Onza's and things, they work, they work well and at a tiny price compared to the more expensive bikes. -
Hey Jack, when are you expected to get your ZOO! Pitbull? I wouldn't worry about putting gears on it, as everyone else we ride with is single speed (Lee is considering it, so that leaves Ryan with gears).
-
Hey Charlie nice to see you about. I was considering the Echo 2006 rims, but apparently they are weak as anything. So a no-no there. I'd go for the Onza Reggie as it has eyeletted holes, just adding that bit more strength to the rim, whilst all the others don't. Echo 2007 rims are supposed to be much better than the 2006 ones. I wouldn't really bother getting a new rim just yet, use yours and until its knackered, and buy a new one when you need it. You could go out and buy parts that matter instead. But hey its your choice in the end. P.S anymore news on whether I am in the Est or not?

Does Nayone Else Have Troubles With Time?
Captain Scarlet replied to Ollie Y's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I'm in year 10, I am active on the computer, get lots of coursework, and I am an entertainer (Not necessarily performing but alway practicing). Yet I can still manage to ride everyday (so long as the weather is good). Just go find a spot under a streetlight and you should be fine for riding in the dark. -
To ride whenever I have a free bit of time, be it just outside my house. I want to be able to spin further than 180 hopefully a 270 sometime. To just give things a go and realise that falling off is in the steps to learning, and to get back up and try again if I do fall off. And then just to learn more tricks and things, find more than one way of getting onto or off an obstacle, and combine lines.

Ali C uses them, so that gives you an idea of good riders using them. I myself bought Magura's so I could get a feel for them on my own bike, I prefer Maguras and generally much more confident, but if they go wrong I'll try a well set-up V-brake so I can compare them. My Onza DD11 V-brake worked brilliant with a bit of tar, no slipping and it was a smooth rim and standard pads. So I imagine a V-brake with better pads, lever, and possibly a rim grind would be out of the question.

Sponsors also try to look for something a bit different, if you have your own style and own bag of tricks and moves then sponsors are sure to notice you. Basically be yourself, and do you what you do everytime you ride, have fun. In the end its never guaranteed that you will ever get sponsored, just ride your best and perhaps somebody notices.

Wish I could do that, then again I wish I couldn't, it probably feels weird. I know that his parents are tall. I wonder if this would be a benefit or a downside to trials?, I mean you'd probably break less bones if you were double jointed.

Lose the big text, I'm not sure on what the rule is on this forum. I love seeing Craig Lee Scott doing it on the thin rails though. =)

How Often Do You Go On Your Bike?
Captain Scarlet replied to D a n n y. . .'s topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I again ride everyday, unless it is raining hard, I usually don't mind if it has rained before and the ground is a bit wet, as it only affects a few things that I do. But my bike is being fixed at the moment so I can't ride, and I don't really want to get my Jump Bike out of retirement. Like I say, "Just wait until the summer comes", start riding around 9ish, and then come home around 9ish. EDIT: School. -
Whats Best To Ride Onza T-lite, Onza T-pro Or A T-mag
Captain Scarlet replied to t-liteboy's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I've ridden the T-Mag, although it was a 2003 version with the frame being much different. But I prefer that frame over a T-Pro frame or T-Comp frame, as it feels much nicer to ride and a better balance point in my opinion. I'd go for the T-Mag, it looks good and has some good parts on it, T-Lite I'd imagine has a good balance point but apparently they are too light and therefore weak. T-Comp doesn't feel right to me, so I'd get the T-Mag if I had the money. -
I quite like a 180 from a standstill, its not that much of a move but it feels really nice. I like doing pedal hop gaps, again it feels really good.

How Much Have You Spent On Your Bike?
Captain Scarlet replied to Razzy's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Got my bike for £250 and then bougth some Maguras for like £105 so altogether thats £355. Not too bad, but I don't really have much money to spend on it anyways. -
Also it would free up the gear shifter on your handlebar, so you could actually see the ZOO! logo on the left hand side (as you face it).

Is There Any Makes Of Trials Stuff You Hate
Captain Scarlet replied to Ollie Y's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
I don't like the look/colour scheme of Monty's or the look of the frame, but I prefer the frame style for balancing. I hate Mission Reefers, worst 26" in my opinion. Can't really stand them. -
Shortening A Hs33 Cable?
Captain Scarlet replied to Captain Scarlet's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Well I tried and failed. When setting the TPA to low pressure, my dad suggested taking the lever blade out so there is no pressure at all. But the piston in the Master cylinder popped out and I lost a bit of fluid. So I've just taken it down to autoparts for them bleed the brake for me. Back one is fine I got that one all set-up and working perfectly, its just because of the fact that I had to trim the front brake. -
Yea I gave them Marcus' and Aaron's number. Hopefully I might be able to make it later once I've got my brakes shortened and fitted, Headset tightened, and cones sorted.
-
Yea my friend told me of using petrol as it evaporates quickly. Well I haven't gone through many grips, but to slide them on I just used a bit of saliva and if they need sealing after that I just use spray adhesive (The stuff that sticks carpet tiles or lino tyles down).

Shortening A Hs33 Cable?
Captain Scarlet replied to Captain Scarlet's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
So nobody knows how to cut a Hs33 pipe effectively without having to re-bleed? -
Hehe, well I just got a phone call that Trialsr_lee and ryan360 have missed the train that Marcus, Aaron and Company, got. So they should be down a bit later on.

I got some of these from a local bike shop for a fiver each. From what I know, these lights don't meet legal requirements, but it keeps the PCSO's happy and therefore me happy. Also a PCSO told me that if you have a light it has to be a constant beam, apparently its illegal for the light to be flashing.
