Yea, give me my gloves back arsehole!, they're even in the pictures. Nah it is a very nice bike, I love the look of it, I'll take some better quality pictures of it sometime if you like? Anyways, you riding today?

I've spoken with a few guys from Braintree and Colchester, we was considering riding Southend but Jay may not be able to attend and its a bit much cash out of pocket for me, so we have decided on riding Clacton on the 21st. Its okay, this has nothing to do with the "EST" , so therefore nothing can go wrong in the arrangements. I know its a bit early to start posting this, but some idiot from Braintree might post up some random ride without considering other peoples opinions in NMC. But it gives you a bit of time in advance to get things sorted. Hope to see a large turnout like the last Clacton ride. EDIT: Times will be posted up closer to the time of the ride.

Any helmet over the £30 mark will do you fine, just try to look for one that offers protection to the side of your head, rather than just sitting on top of your head. I've got a Uvex Magnum, its a good helmet with a lot of coverage and only cost me £40. Best helmet for looks and coverage would have to be a Giro Xen though, have a look around for the older ones as they are cheaper and better for your budget.

Meh was an okayish ride, from the spots we rode Colchester is an okay place to ride. I prefered the spot that Jay showed us that was near Rollerworld, too bad I was feeling as rough as a bears arse. Charlie once again made an embarrasment by not turning up to the fifth "EST" organised event/ride.

Would look pimped with either gold or blue Hope spacers, quick releases and other little parts

Looks sweet mate, you thinking of slapping any stickers on it, or leave it as it is? What colours are your other components?
-
Now a ZOO! Python with red colour co-ordination would look the sex. If you managed to get those red stickers it would be the beast.

Braintree, Colchester, Clacton, Benfleet, Chelmsford, Southend etc are all in Essex "cal d". Basically Braintree guys be at the station at 8:40 Sunday morning, and then we will meet everyone at Colchester castle at 10:30. Yea we got there after 4 pages.
-
Who changed the arrangments.
-
Yea agreed on the 9 o clock train Marcus.
-
Ah, forgot to add, meet out the front of Colchester Castle, as I know where that is. =)
-
I should be coming, and I agree with going at 9, it means we'll be in Colchester at 9:30 ish, which gives us time to ride to town. I think we should meet around 10ish or 10:15 though, but whatever. Alain has my number, so he can ring for any reason.

Jennings you tit, you've confused everyone. Change the title of the first post in this topic, its still dated as Saturday.
-
Yea my mate got one, I'm so jealous, they are the sex by looks. I would love to get one but now that he has got one I'm gonna have to opt for something different.
-
So what are the times and where? I may/may not be there, all depends if I has the cash. EDIT: What train are we getting from Braintree?

What Shoes Do You Like The Best ?
Captain Scarlet replied to dean-monty-101's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
Yea, Vans or some other kind of skate shoe are perfect, I've got a pair that I've been using for riding for around 2 years now and they've been everywhere and done everything, still comfortabe as anything. Just need to tighten to laces up everynow and again. -
I have recently learnt how to sidehop and am developing the skill further. I am left foot forward, so I decided to learn to hop the right. I found that I could do it better to the left though. I learnt and have done my biggest hop to the right. Now I can do it either way, it just depends how comfortable I am at the time of doing it, or the space/height I have to take up. It doesn't matter if you do it the wrong way, apart from the fact if you hop in the direction of your forward foot, the crank can sometimes hit.

LMAO, I've seen the resemblance, Toby looks like Joe Pasquale!!
-
Well you can't really do things like that on benches, people still need to sit down. It is sad how county councils will go that far to stop people like us.
-
That mate would be me. Theres no variation in how well Hs33's work between the older style lever and the newer style. Only reasons my brakes work well is the fact that they are well set-up and reguarly adjusted, quite a lot of peoples I see in Braintree have one slave cylinder really close to the wheel and the other one is miles away, or the pads contact wonky etc. Just set up your brakes a bit better and maybe consider a rebleed, or grind/new pads. I imagine the pads probably aren't a lot of good on those racelines Courtney.

Well I have a choice, I can either buy Jack's oversize stem and not come, or I don't buy it and come to Colchester. I wanna save a bit of money as well though, because I want to ride Southend sometime during the holidays if anyone else is up for it.

But Sam, where does it say anything about a Zona Zip frame in the title of the topic. If the spec was a bit better I would say a Monty 219, but your best off with T-Comp on spec alone. The Monty 219 feels better to ride in my opinion, but the T-Comp has Magura's, drilled rims, front freewheel, and a good colour co-ordination. That spec will last you for a while, the T-Comp has some really good bits on it.

Whilst on the topic of side hopping I need a bit of help with another problem relating to it. I've learnt sort of how to side hop (I go in the direction that gives me bad crank clearance and don't do the pedal kick). I'm just wondering as to how the pedal kick should be executed, when and how much? Because at the moment, my sidehops are side flicks, I don't exactly hop, I just flick the bike onto the front wheel, kinda annoying. Thanks,

Chelmsford, Essex Ride (24/03/07)
Captain Scarlet replied to Captain Scarlet's topic in Member Organised Rides
The Colchester ride that is posted in New Members Section? -
Only problem is that if we go on Sunday, we have to get off at the station near Big Yellow Self Storage, and then ride the rest of the way, as the train that goes to town doesn't run on a sunday. Yea I might come, but it is only a short while after the Chelmsford ride, I might not have enough money.
