yea, your right on the fact, of proper maggie using,heatsink pad wearing, koxx framed riders(or other trials specific brands). but when i was like 11-14, and used to ride, we wer just kids, so we all had small hard tails, there was about 8 of us in my year who rode. some said they wer dirt, or dh, or xc riders, i said i was a trials rider, cos i didnt like dirt much, and xc seemed jay at the time, but the point is, we all had small tough hardtails, we all used to do drop offs,wheelies, have bunny hop comps, couple of us had backhops nailed.almost all of us ran a bash. in that respect, made all 8 of us trials riders, about 5 of us had net access, but none of us used trials forums.and wernt members on the mbuk site, we just watched any vids we could download. should imagine its much the same today,although there not trials riders in the true comp sense, they ride trials. also, youll be suprised at just how many people ive met through the car scene, who have da bombs and cheap onzas, or saracen frames, with 22t+ bash, an rigid forks. probably only know a couple of hundred people through cars, about 100 of them in the 17-20 male category,and at least 5 of them i can think of still own trials bikes,yet none were registed on TF. should imagine its the same in other walks of life,possibly even higher, * dont shout me down for stereotypes here as i know its bullplop" but the whole modified car scene is seen as chav. but if you spoke to a group of people who were 17-20 and more part of the rock culture, i bet the numbers who owned trials bikes, or small hardtails with bashes etc is higher, because biking is still most probably seen as a "greebo" sport in school. and weve got 6097 members on here, to suggest theres any less than 12,000 people with trials bikes or enjoy a dabble of trials on there street/dirt/hardcore hardtail, would be stupid. although its not as popular in the us, theres still likely to be similar numbers, due to the vastly higher population.

1) no idea, but its gotta be 100,000 plus(altho depends on wat u class as trials,most people aged 10-14 who have decent bikes, tend to do what a bit of everything, but mainly street trials and jumps, in there own way, thats riding trials.) but if you mean actively own maggies,long low bikes, or properly set up trials rigs, probably 20 thousand ish, tops.. 2) seem to remember a story of a bloke dieing when out practising riding, and was only hopping up a kurb, gave a big"always where your helmet, " point to a lot of things when it happened. so id say, yes. 3) no idea.

dunno, seem to end up buying a new shaving foam about once a month, possibly slightly less often,but not to sure. toothpaste go through a tube a month easy, but then got a feeling my mother nicks a bit of that. blades as someone stated are £10 a pack of 4, would say i shave 7 to 8 times a week, so about a blade a week i go through.

gotta say its at least £20, not cos im a tart or anything but... shaving foam, 1 tin £2 a month deodrant, 2 tins £5 a month razorblades, £10 a month mouthwash, £2 a month toothpast, £2 a month hairwax or the like, about £3-10 a month(depending on wether i bother wearing at work,or just when im out) thats well over £20, before i think about shampoo, or shower gel(normally nick most of it outta the bathroom, and just buy a bottle if im away or summit). havent even got onto aftershave, some months, ill only use a splash once or twice, and its nothing, but other months,ill be out every night near enough, and will go through a nice big bottle of it.

working in the motor vehicle industry, can tell you its nothing to do with the thinness etc, technically 3>4 4>5, 5>5.1 are just upgrades with generally better properties,higher boiling points etc. but the structure of the oil,and its chemical construction, means that a DOT 5 fluid used in a DOT 3 system, although would work, the fluid would eat away at the seals which wernt designed for that fluid. so on and so forth. theres a list on the net somewhere of what fluids will not damage what systems in the automotive industry, will be much the same.

looks like im quoting everyone of your posts, but not at all, over a year ago i payed 920 for my beemer, its now approaching 140k and stil runs swet as a nut. and maintenance costs aint that bad, unless you want full bmw service history, but then its the same with vee dubs,audis, etc. but places like LS:UK do services which are very competively priced,same price for any model, something like mot style inspection,oil,filter, and air filter. for £49.99. as above but with wiper blades,fuel filter,pollen filten,spark plugs and a load of other stuff for £150, parts inclusive. genuine bmw oil filter for a e36 3 series, receipts on my desk, retail £3.68 + vat. hardly breaking the bank if you take it to a non franchise dealer.or do the servicing yourself.

bmw 3 series. take ur pick, e36 m3, e36 m3 cabrio, e46 coupe, e46 cabrio. youll get a mint car for well under your budget(cabrio not so much). you get performance, reliability, style, the badge, reasonable economy(for a car of there performance).and there RWD other options within your budget. new shape accord(even the diesels are sexual) elite business looks,very plush,but doesnt stand out and say key me up. lotus elise(dont need to explain this, so i wont) honda type-r (not a personal favourite, but meh,everyone else loves them) focus 2.0 zetec(150 bhp, insurance group 8, cheap to buy, fast, and again, get a high model, there luxury, but dont stand out) lexus is200 (stands out a bit more, but quality car with reliable toyota underpinnings,roomy, classy, luxury, and again RWD). then theres your impreza's and the like. s14 180sx -(if you want a fast,fun, turbo'd car, cheap then look no further).
