  1. ive got that modem/router for adsl, but the 125 mbps version, comes highly recommended. and the appropriate matching usb/pci wireless adapter. as for battering someone from BT, pick bongo. he likes it. and technically im BT fleet so it wont be my fault, however you can rest the blame solely on bongo.
  2. i like has anyone seen my shoe, because he made me aware of the abreviation of his name to HASMS, which makes me laugh. cos it sounds like a disease "bless him, hes got HASMS, but hes putting on a brave face" note :diseases aint funny, not in the slightest, but this guy is ^^^^^

  4. rip it off the roads, ask the council roadies for some. its tar off the roads,you want, although im sure once set, roofers tar is the same.but when warm, its soft. and just smear it round your rim. or grind your rims instead.
  5. there no right or wrong amount of spacers. it really is personal preference, currently running none on my ashton, but was running 12mm of spacers on the bt. personally id have about 5mm of clearance at least (up to about 8mm) between the top of the steerer and the top of the stem(i assume this is what you mean), means you can tighten it all up ok, and there will still be some more left, in case the bearings settle in/compact. as for the starnut, i put mine in just under an inch, basically so that when u put the stem + spacers on, and then ur top cap, youl get 4 or 5 turns of the bolt before you start putting preload ont he bearings.
  6. yea, if you cant solve it by tensioning the other way(down not up etc) and extending the tensioning slot isnt wise. then just cut urself a new wheel out of a skateboard/microscooter wheel.
  7. not debating your ability/knowledge.but trials is generally about explosive strength, yea endurance comes intowards the end of the ride. but mainly the area everyone wants to improve on is height of taps and hops, and distance of gaps, which other than technique, is all down to explosive power. as for the training thing though, on a similar level, if your training on your bike to failiure,you shouldnt be able to train properly for a good couple of days.although i think now most of this dont train for 48 hours is a load of bullcrap, did high frequency training for the 3 weeks building up to christmas, and can safely say, its been hugely beneficial when compared to training 3 times a week. good diet,supply of protein and carbs,and your fine. I also think a lot of this stipulation about not training 2 days on the trot,comes from the fact it hurts like hell the first few days, so people think its no good, and go back to there old routine, rather than letting your body adapt. remember the first few times i went to the gym, only training twice a week, and my body was pooped the 2 days after, but after a couple of weeks, your body adapts and doesnt hurt as much the next day.
  8. wat tensioner do you use?? if its fresh products take a look at my topic n faq. otherwise, you got a few options.if your tensioning up, tension down instead, and vice versa. if your using a nylon tensioning wheel with bearings in it, go and get yourself a skateboard wheel, and make the groove in it for the chain to sit in, but make the bit where the chain sits a bigger diameter than the orignal(should be clear, that your not cutting the bit where the chain sits down to the same size as the orignal. then fit it, will give you that extra bit of tension.

  11. thats due to the joint not being moved due to the injury, whether its due to its movement been restricted by the cast, or you simply not using its full range of movement due to it hurting, the joint wil start to "freeze". personally id either consult a physio,or at least a doctor, theyll normally hold your wrist firmly in its socket or the like for a couple of minutes each time(this will hurt like hell) you go there,and give u a list of exercises to do, to build strenght and aid full range of movement in the wrist once more.

  13. on a similar bmx'ey note, always wanted to be able to go to front wheel, and then tailwhip.but other than gettin the sidehop well and truly down, want to focus on front wheel moves and stability a bit more.
  14. fingers first as always, get her used to that, after that, just take it steady, plenty of lube(altho if she aint damp, you may have problems), and just take it slow, soft and steady, for the first few times, by which time, shell probably understand whats happening and want it more than you.
  15. gotta make sure your doing it right, otherwise you aint gettin the benefit for sidehops etc. if your doing low controlled, slow squats, its probably not helping, and may well be stunting your progress, in one of the old TRA vids, theres a bit where hes doing explosive squats, squatting super fast with a low, and actually leaping clear of the floor on the way up, this is the kinda stuff u need to do to improve ur vertical side hops etc.although youll look a tit doin this surrounded by a bunch of roid raiders. training programs like air alert, used to be all the rage when i was playing basketball, for increasing vertical, although tailored for basketball, its all down to explosive leg power, and would imagine it would be quite beneficial in this too
  16. listen to this guy, for trials training, stuff like kickboxing, will produce the more explosive power needed, if your into lifting weights but wanna use it to improve trials, look at plyometrics, and just generally explosive moves, without looking to increase lean muscle mass significantly. on the other hand, i lift weights, dont do plyometrics, and ride trials, but then i do weights, because i wanna be big, not good at trials.

This year.... i want to be myself.......but better. aint makin new years resolutions, as most of the changes in me came about a month ago and theyll stop/alter when i want them too, im training harder, riding more, eating more aware,aint touched alcohol in 23 days now. think ive actually got the dedication and the commitment to achieve something. just wanna push the envelope in everything i do now, been living in the comfort zone for too long.
  19. woah, what a night, ended up on here till 1.30am, then driving to manchester to meet hayley,spent the night at hers, finally lay down to get some kip at 6am, was up at 10.30am. happy days, watched trisha, came home. mother asked where id been, my answer was shops(for 12 hours at 1.30am on new years day)

  23. yes you have no choice in the matter, at all do you, you couldnt not go to the party, you couldnt go to the party and not drink, you couldnt go to the party, drink and sleep in your car could you?? having no choice in the matter would be if youd gone to a rave, u wer tipsy, ur mate was pilled out on the floor throwing up his own guts, ur mobile phone didnt work, there was no houses nearby, but u had a car, then driving down to civilization, thatd be havin no choice. whats your doing, is more like having no conscience, than no choice. also, if your gunna do it, why do you need to tell the whole of TF about it. and as for calculating how much u can drink, thats crap. ive drank a bottle of sambuca an a couple of pints at a pub.(as in me and 2 mates bought 3 bottles worth of shots, sat there till wed drank em all,) then went clubbin, i drank another few vk's when i was out clubbin, at no point did i feel sick, i felt drunk, but cud still function normally, talk, play pool etc. but even after about 4 sambucas, id be over the limit. i wont even touch a half, if im drivin. just aint worth it. anyway, carry on being an inconsiderate willy, just dont expect sympathy at all.
  24. nah, its now cable tied in place using white zip ties though. as for changin it to black, never!!!. want to get a echo white striped tyre. another drilled rim for the front, and fit white rim tape to match the back, and the white and black ashton graphics off a red ashton.
  25. tonight i shall be: sitting at home, drinking no alcohol, with the new incubus album on repeat. sounds sad, and it is, but after splitting with hayley on thursday, my plans gone down the crapper,nowhere decents got tickets left, an i am not gunna go sit in the boozer with the deadbeats and the drop outs.as thats gunna make me feel worse than i already do. and even if i could get tickets for somewhere decent, dont think ive got the party heart in me right now. also havent drank in 3 weeks now, gunna see how long this can last.and im gunna hit the gym tomorrow,might as well get summit positive out of this, rather than sweating out loadsa sugar,alcohol and assorted chemicals.lying in my own vomit, ill be improving my physical fitness. and to top it off hayley said she was probly gunna ring me tonight, dont have a clue wat shes gunna say, wanna be sober to hear it, as it may be the last phone call i have with her, or may be the start of a new beginning(most likely the first).either way i wanna be sober to hear it.
