  1. matt staples has 2 of the beasts, and tunni has one. other than that dont think many people have them in the uk.
  2. after using kona J/S pedals, dont think ill use owt else. super smooth cartridge bearings, massive platforms, so u got something big to aim for on crank flips/ ur feet are less likely to slide off. pins seem to take a beating, considering i must of hit walls with them a good 15 or 20 times nice an hard on saturday. and they aint damaged a pin yet. double concave too. and at £15.00 on wiggle. tis a bargain, and they look the dogz.
  3. replaced a 1.8 zetec focus mk1, and im sure it was identical to that, dont take that as gospel though, it was 6 months ago, an i can barely remember if i put trousers on this morning.
  4. so now not only cant you ride, you can operate a point and shoot camera . o/j joe, you know i love you really (in a none homosexual way). just dont use the fish eye when it so low light. as they all come out either uber dark, or blurred due to shutter speed. or if you must use it, whack the iso right up boy. cos most of the places you wer takin pics wer kinda dark. and the sky wasnt exactly bright either. but yea good rind, excluding king skippage.
  5. its cos about 80% of the people watching wouldnt know torque if people twisted there nipples off at 85nm or 65 lb/ft. so there no need for all these fancy measuring units for the majority of the viewers. and also we shouldnt be using imperical measurements anyway these days.so p/c speaking, we should know the unit of measurement anyway.
  6. should be there, will let you know later in the week.
  7. yea, it is different people hence it aint known as the bike show no more. and the logos all changed. and it looks more expo style. and less retail orientated. but was just commenting on who had been there previous years, and who i expected to not be having a stand this year(i.e just a zoo stand)
  8. erm, currently second year apprentice at bt fleet. dont know where my lifes heading though. a week on thursday, ive got to answer my bail. at which point i could be facing many many years in prison. in which case thats wer my lifes heading, after that ill eithr be a hardened criminal, or likely end up a 30 something labourer on a building site. other than that, ive got 3 options. as far as i see it. 1) stay at bt, and do whatever, either move up the company, or stay in my current position 2) once i got money saved up, sack it all off, and go to uni. but come out of uni at 23/24 and have a degree, work experience, and be debt free. 3) sack off working for bt, and go travelling. then end up back cheffing or summit. in hotels in the alps or summit. skiing all through the winter, then come back over here in the summer, and work as whatever. rinse.repeat, till im 30ish, by which time ill of resigned myself to a pretty low payed life. but will have had a hell of a 10 years. in the meantime. but till i know how my situation of freedom pans out, seems a bit short sighted to make decisions any further ahead than next thursday.
  9. ceeertainly know about 190E's there very very very good cars, and seem to be bombproof the bloke up the road from me has one thats on 280k, and me an a mate where talking to someone that my mate knew. who had a 1988 190e, that was on 960k. (had obiviously had work done do it in that time, but still). but there heavy, so are heavy on fuel, to get performance out of them, and are quite pricy on parts too. well over here they are at least.
  10. you could just buy an attachment, but quality would be much lower. check out sigma and peleng fish eyes at a good price, and possibly pm fatmike on here. think hes got peleng and zenitar fish eyes for sale to fit a 350d.
  11. so if it almost killed 5 of you, you stand little chance on your own. but yea, winch is the way forward, onto something secure, at least one person guiding you, and take it slow. other "kev tested " ways of engine removal, include a block and tackle, strapped to 2 pieces of 2 x 4 board balanced on 2 10 foot high walls. stickin the vehicle on blocks 2 foot high at the back, handbrake on, and jacking the front end up. then using rope to attach the engine to a barn roof support. and slowly lowerin the jacks(dodgy, but the only option if you havent got a block an tackle, or the 2 below options) front loader tractor, with a bail spike on it.ropes from that to the engine mounts. used much the same as a winch, but with less control. or my personal favourite. run some tow rope from the back of a landrover. over a wooden beam in an old barn, and round the engine(and through the lifting holes). using a friend or 2, slowly drive the landrover forward. note due to landrovers having poor handbrakes. and brakes that wernt too hot either. it was held on the clutch for a lot of the time. so although the engine was out of one landrover, another needed a new clutch.
  12. yea its back again this year danny. back at the nec too. guess the coventry idea just wasnt a success. as for companies there, cant comment on whether tarty bikes or selectbikes will be there, as dont think they wer that well established last time bike show ran at nec. im 99% sure zoo wouldnt have a stand, and quite unlikely deng will have a stand. from previous years. trials companies there have been ashton bikes, pashley(altho wer only sellin t shirts last time i went, and taking orders, had no stock at the show, just demo bikes) and supercycles/onza. but may be totally different this year.
  13. e30 beemer then, something around a 1988 - 1990, a lot more driftable than a xr4x4i( on british roads anyway, if your drivin gravel and dirt tracks, or loose gravel roads(as opposed to tarmac) then its different matter. but thats power sliding, as opposed to oversteer. which is a total different kettle of fish. and a lot better as a transport vehicle than a sierra(comfier, nicer to drive, more stylish). and a lot better on fuel(engine dependant at least) and a lot better power:displacement ratio(i.e more bhp per cc) or if you want 4 x4, could look at an early 90's subaru legacy. if they do them over there. did 2.2 quad cam bi turbo jobbies over here. where rapid, and are stupid cheap for like a 92 legacy now. not stylish, but then neithers the mazda, and these things are well rapid. (insurance is high over here, but if your lookin at an xr4x4i, i guess it nots an issue)
  14. dare i ask why you refer to it as rearwheeldrift, and front wheel drift. you mean front wheel drive etc??? also why do you need a 4wd/rwd car as opposed to FWD?? if its cos you wanna be like the people in tokyo drift, then i suggest you dnt bother with something like the mazda, just cos its RWD dont mean itll drift(why you would buy a car solely to drift, other than a field car i dnt know). if your still intent on a drift car, and can insure an xr4x4i,(Which is 2.9, not 2.8). id suggest also lookin at the 2.8i xr4i(100cc less displacement, RWD car) will still drink fuel, but an xr4x4i wont drift, also if you can insure that, id perhaps suggest an old skool mkiii supra. a mk1 or mk2 mr2( a lot better than the mazda) or an old skool e30 beemer. all should be fairly cheap, and can soon be good fun for driftin.
  15. yea dropped joe off at home like 6.20 ish, but hes gone to get drunk, an then go to some girls party. so im not to hopeful well get the pics tonight. wasnt a bad ride, king slippage ***. most of us had problems with our bikes. beau- cranks, destroyed danny - lever snapped. julz - brake was in a state of disrepair for sure bigman- had a pinch but meh fish - backings came off his pads when changing his tubes. me- king slipping like a good un.
  16. erm, depends on the situation. summers day, lounging round in the sun, cool pint of cider for the win. down the pub shooting pool, mixture of lager and stout, often dependant on pub/temperature/ atmosphere. out clubbing it up,ill drink mainly alcopops and spirits. boom necking corkies by the pints where its at.
  17. erm, i know fox have asked allucit etc to remove all there programs, so at a guess. many other streaming sites are having to follow suit. so torrents look to be the viewing way forward.
  18. any idea where us drivers should be parking, preferably safe, and free, and free of large speed bumps(Small uns are fine)
  19. nah, but it makes it more likely that your chain will come off. in which case your face breaks.
  20. meh, may come, or may sleep in and eat pancakes as discussed on msn, whats the weather forecast saying??
  21. 2 minutes kiddo, ill be on, trials_punk is the name. pool is the game.
  22. lol, might be closer to 6"4 now. remember at 17. i was like 6"5. measured with a none TF measuring tape. but was measured at the doctors not so long ago for HGV medical, and he measured me up at 6"2. but yea, im deffo between 6"2 and 6"5. im tall, as a few people on here will varify. im also insanely heavy. but well not go into that. anyway back on topic
  23. what he said. altho, i dont see that it matters too much, there like £2 dearer than all the homebrew pads on the market atm(Wright pads, joy pads, phat pads etc). and have aluminium backings by the looks of things. and still a bundle cheaper than deng pads.
  24. bought my girlfriend a new bag, and a new belt....... the hoover works perfect now. . but she wasnt to pleased with them 2 purchases. so i went out shopping a bit later. ended up buying a pair of slippers, and a vibrator. havent seen her since. ah well. If she dont like the slippers. she can go f*ck herself. *think about it. BTW, this is a joke, for anyone thick enough to think id a) have a GF, and spend money on them.
  25. bongo, for the purpose of watching this. just download VLC player. its free, and will play pretty much anything (.iso, .bin. cue, and all the regular movie formats, even the ones with obscure codecs)
