  1. yea but when your 15, it oesnt take half that time, time, even now, i think if needed i could produce a stick of rock after about 10-15 minutes, if it was my first of the day, as for using viagra, well it just tens not to go down, but sensitivities often the key, u get immune to it after 2 or 3 tugs in a day.
  2. yea but bare in mind that apart from this episode, an the first episode of the season, they wer all filmed prior to hammonds crash, an where meant for series 8 which was cut short. so theyll probably start back with regular length series to fit in with how it normally works, for series 10.
  3. woulnt bother with a tap myself, just 2 bits of metal, 4 holes, and nylock nuts on the underside of the metal, means theres nothing to strip either.
  4. yea, but then adam an eve had 2 sons kane & abel, either thye had sex with each other an produced a kid,or they slept with there mother, and as we all discend from them, were all inbred. but nah, as has previously been said, the genetic mutation would of come in egg form, and hatched to become a chicken
  5. personally i find all small cars attract a premium, as there seen as starter cars, regardless of insurance groups, for example, i seem to remember my bmw in standard form(group11) cost £21 more to insure than a 1.2 punto, which was about 8 groups lower, purely cos as a 18 year old i wasnt expected to have a car like that. but still dont think youll see a lot of difference in small engined cars, the way me an my mates found it round, is theres a minimum price youll pay for insurance at a 17, regardless of what car you got, some of my friends, had 1.9 turbo derv 306s(group 5) others had group 2 0.9l cinquentos, an some had corsa sri's(group 6), an we wer all paying the same apart from like £20 or so. should imagine itll be similar else where. best thing is to get some quotes on your car, then get some quotes on smaller cars. bear in mind this was a gift from your sister, she may not approve of you selling it.so if your only saving about £100 on insurance, may as well pay it, to save the hastle of changing cars, your sisters anger, an you know where this cars been for the last year or so, so better idea of its history.
  6. that youlll be peeling bits of me off your conservatory roof??
  7. nah it was combustion, however no matter how grown up an mature i think i am, i have got a mighty big compressor in my garage, that puts out about 190psi if i remember correctly, im sure plumbin that into a pipe, an just pluggin the quick coupling in, will make a certain effect.
  8. i did, but never remember telling you about it, was mint though, got some random old skool imperial bb's we found in an old auto factors store, bought like 200 of them for £8, could shoot them like 300 + foot, (cudnt get a measure above that, as we could never find where the sodding thing landed, when not on concrete) and would shatter double glasing at around 120 foot, no problems.
  9. Just tried adobe lightroom for the first time on my pc this morning, very impressed with it, for those people that dont need the image editing of photoshop, or the hassle of it. when it comes to raw processing it does all it needs to,also automatically imports your images, and displays them in thumbnails to edit, rather than having to open each one individually in photoshop which saves a load of time, for tweaking levels, cropping etc, its a lot quicker than photoshop, and simpler if you want it to be(but at the same time has all the full features if you need to use them) best feature i found with it though was the gallery templates, before if i wanted people to see a selection of my images, without being able to see all of the ones i have on the web, id have to upload all my images to photobucket, then get photobucket to generate tags for it, and stick it in my myspace blog. or create a shoddy looking website, granted i could make a decent gallery, but thats the last thing i wanna do after a big ride, or the day i come back off holiday, i just wanna sit at me pc, music on, lay back and either do nothing, or have a quick chat with people, not spending a couple of hours creating a website, well lightroom has clean and tidy lookin html an flash templates, which lets you sort and select your images, and export the whole gallery ready for web use, with all titles, layout etc all pre written in in lightroom. can even directly upload the lot via ftp. seems rather good, and before any asks, will it replace photoshop, then no it wont, but it will work with it incredibly well, and be used inplace of it, unless my images need excessive editing(lightroom does have a clone/heal tool, but aint tried using it yet).
  10. where to ogwen?? or bangor?? and where you coming from? Easiest way to explain it is google maps, first search for capel curig, and then afon ogwen, llyn ogwen(lake ogwen) appears on the map as big blue lake shaped thing pretty much in the middle of the two, then you decide from where your coming from how to get to it, its fairly easy, as its on the A5, which is a major road an then some.
  11. note to self, blame it on the weatherman. it now raining cats and dogs, and some other domesticated animals most probably. if its damp in the morning, i most likely wont bother, as chances are only a couple of nutters unphased by water will turn out. and my car will get filthy on the way there. if its dry by mornin however, im still up for it.
  12. ok, ive never had particularly brilliant skin, but have never had acne, had the odd teenage zit phase at 15. but in the last few days. i seem to have had a total spot craze, not so much on my face, altho took a couple of old whiteheads off there, but on my neck an shoulders, there goin mad. is there anything much that causes them, my only idea is its from a changed diet. as im having a month off from the gym, as its getting stale, an im goin an not doing anything, my diet has changed somewhat. whereas before i was surviving on protein shakes, with skimmed milk, fresh bread, and broth style soup. ive started eating a lot more, but not unhealthy foods, yet spots are going crazy for some reason. is it possible that my bodies got used to an uber toxin free diet, and now its chucking up spots like no tomorrow, because i used to survive on fried food and chocolate and they where never this bad. question i was wondering, will my body once more adapt, or will i have to go back to my old ways(Which ill be doing anyway in 2.5 weeks) to clear my skin?? or is there any more causes for spots that could be possible??
  13. lol, see i dont have to worry, i dont go big. although the few times its skipped, thrice ive almost caught a faceful of floor. worst was when it went through 180 degrees, and as id released me brake, i rolled down the steps on the back wheel, rather than jumping down them, but was switch footed. as for it needing a clean, yea thats true, but its got character as it is. but personally id trust the king over the hope, i had an xc for over 2 years, never skipped, but just didnt feel solid like the king does. felt kinda flexy through the pedals, but when theres drive on the king, its perfectly solid, another reason i trust the king more than the hope, everyones saying kings skip, but at a guess mines 2/3 years old, an has probly gone a good chunk of that time without being opened up. many people are using 3-5 year old kings an complaining they skip, well they will do, there worn, old, poorly maintained, abused, xc hubs, yet they still ride mint. whereas look at how many people talk about pro2's breaking an skipping, an there only like a year or so old. admittedly hope are gods when it comes to warranty work, an replacing stuff free of charge. but id rather have a hub that wen serviced, i can trust 100%, rather than have a hub which is good, but will most likely break in the first 18 months, but its ok, as ill get it repaired for free. as unfortunately, hope will send you a set of pawls out, but a set of teeth, they dont seem to stock them.
  14. an then would you ring fish an tell him if you are or are not going, who then will hopefully in turn ring me an tell me whether im going or not, and if he needs a lift. either that or just text me when you know whats happening, as chances are ill be in shrewsbury, so not on t'forum, an dont wanna drive all the way from shrewsbury to telford only to find out we aint going. still up for this big time, pics will make it worthwhile, as for the ice sam, dont see itll be a problem, if its icy, itll be clear, therefore the sun will be blazin an all ice should be off the rocks by the time we get up there, the welsh early birds on the other hand, will need studded tyres.
  15. sorry to break this to you, but you ever been fast on either a bike or in a car. i have been(both times as passenger) and never again at 135-140 on a bike, and 135 in a car. i know which one id rather be in at them speeds. on a bike you got wheels in a straight line, narrow and quite high positioning, hitting an ants leg at them speeds is nearing on certain death. in a car, you could hit a relatively big bump, providing your not mid corner, and itll bounce around rather a lot, an then carry on in said straight line, a cars just got so much balance side to side, due to having a wide stance. also google "downforce", an f1 car creates so much, yea it does slow it down, but it also holds it to the road, unlike bikes which can become all floaty an vague at speeds. as for saying on a long straight, a bike will be faster due to power to weight, power to weight means very little for top speed, its more about gearing, and aerodynamics. a 700kg car that redlines at 7,000 rpm, an has a top gear ratio of 2:1 after differential, the wheels are spinning at 3,500 times a minute. with a 3000kg car that redlines at 7,000rpm, an has a top gear ratio of 2:1 after differential, you wanna take a guess at what speed those wheels are turning at, 3500 times a minute. whether the 700kg vehicle has 230 hp, an the 3000kg vehicle has 150 hp, then the supposed top speed of each vehicle on a straight road, is identical, all power to weight does, is change how quick it gets to its top speed.
  16. erm, cant say youll recieve a bike at all, im willing to bet you £10 you wont get a bike off this man would be a good idea, but the bloke is based in china, therefore he knows he safe from dog rapin 17 year olds. lol, he didnt have to work hard, he just forgot to send out my parts in 2003, along with several other peoples. as for the bikes its a scam they dont exist, the whole 30-45 days shipping time, is hes going to have to be assumed innocent an genuine till he does something wrong, by which time its 7 weeks down the line, the blokes withrawn the money from the account, closed it, an buggered off, making a couple of grand in the process. its pretty much as tomm says if hes never had any experience in selling this stuff before,an is suddenly sellin 112 bikes on ebay, it arrouses suspicion to me. the people that have left feedbacks on bike stuff, havent even recieved there items yet.
  17. however your not a real student, as you cant tell the difference between boddingtons and john smiths(unless peter kay did once advertise boddingtons as well). tony the tiger- frosties. george foreman - george foreman grills james le bron - nike basketball

  19. not meaning to be funny here, but your taking the mick out of pete wright, whats the point. yea maybe occasionally he may stretch the truth, and im not even going to deny i laugh at some of his posts, but.... your proper slatin him here, yet youve only been a member of TF for 7ish weeks, how do you even remember all of this stuff, unless you think its cool to take the mick, and fit in. if he makes a post, yea call it ludicrous, laugh at it, but why bother diggin up the past in a topic which has nothing to do with him in the slightest. dave im not denyin its a possibility, im just totally in awe at how people can think its a good idea just yet. electric based brakes havent took off in the automotive industry just yet.which is a place where electronic systems are already in place, they just need extending. wireless braking is still unheard of,anywhere. so before we should even look at wireless brakes on bikes, i say they either develop electronic brakes on bikes(after actually gettin them to work well in a car,and i mean in an analogue signal, not an on/off movement like on a handbrake, which is technically just a switch. then maybe we get wired electronic brakes on bikes, and progress from there, but thats still unfeasable in my opinion, i like to ride in the rain(Well i dont, but it happens), i occasionally fall in streams. water would be a big problem, even if you could protect the sensors from knocks. as for us all being anal about weight, im not anal about weight, i like my bike to be strong, but why inhibit my riding by making the bike heavier than it needs be.
  20. bo shank, shall be there with my ashton, a skipping king, and a 350d. oh yea... and most likely a ginger emo.
  21. ok, to be fair maybe my post is a bit none constructive, but i gave my opinion on the subject, that its a none needed progression, and is rather pro posterous, the way i see it, with bikes everything filters down from the automotive industry, gears, rubber wheels, tubeless tyres, cable brakes, hydraulic brakes. it all comes from the automotive world. because thats where 1000s of times more money is put into r an d, and it then passes onto bikes over time. recenlty fly by wire gears have started taking off, with no actual selector cables/linkages of old, therefore in a few years, this may be filtering down to the bike world. but wireless braking seems out of this world, unneccessary and totally overkill at the moment, and i havent gone in to the potential risks of sensors breaking/interference from outside sources, wet weather durability etc.
  22. [sarcasm]i can see this bing a brilliant idea and taking off, especially when you consider the weight of 5 foot of hose, and 20ml of water. compared to say, a battery pack, sensors, a couple of servo's/solenoids. sure they cant way that much. also see no problems at all, about when the batteries run out, and your brake either doesnt work, or locks on soilid(c max handbrakes anyone). but then, i can solve that, remember dynamo lights, the ones where a wheel sat against ur rim/tyre, and gave you power when the wheels were turning, by turning kinetic energy into electronic energy, could just use one of them, of course your brakes wouldnt work when your not moving, but then you wouldnt need them then, as your not moving. itd also prevent skids etc, because when the wheel locked, thered be no power generated, meaning the brakes released, the wheel rotates once more, power, so wheel locks, rinse, repeat, until bike stops. hey i think ive just invented pushbike abs, forget reluctor rings and EBD modules on cars, all we need is some dynamos and solenoid based calipers. [/sarcasm] i think this may need some work, before it takes off, also whats wrong with the if it doesnt need fixing, dont break it, or however that saying went.
  23. yea, got the torrent here, will edit once ive watched it, which will most probably be about 9pm tomorrow, cos seem to be well busy at the moment.
  24. as far as oive ever been taught, what you got at the rugby club, is just there for restin the barbell on, so its at the correct height for you to step under it, lift it off, and have somewhere to put it when your finished. personally i would use something like that to keep me straight, id just start with a low weight(as in one where you can do 15 with perfect form on first set), for the first few goes, just to get the technique dialled, slowly movin up the weights, till you get to 10's or 8's and are just breaking form on your last rep, or would do on the next one. using something to lean against, or guide you,is cheatin, so what i refer to as your stabilization muscles are hugely underdeveloped, which is i think what spacemunkee is going on about when he says your gluteus maximus(Arse muscles to me an u) activation is poor if you just do leg presses, its a similar thing, using a guide, means although your lifting the weight, your not lifting it controlled and unaided. simple explanation is imagine gettin a loose window, and trying to lift it vertically up from underneath, chances are it would fall over, because you cant stabilize it enough. now opening that window vertically, from underneath, when its in its frame, is a piece of piss, because the guides controlling it. fore and aft, and side to side movement, similar thing using guides/machines in the gym, you dont need to stabilize anything because it only moves in one dimension. rather than your body controlling the movement of itself and the weight in 3 directions.
