yea but its barely cheaper.i got my 350d on the 28th of feb this year,so were talking 6 months ago, i payed £290 for it brand new, and 6 weeks later the bloke was offering the same brand new cameras at £275(bear in mind he was asking 275 them, he was asking 325 for mine) so i reckon march/april you could of got the camera for £260. dont know wether hes trading any longer. but if not someone else will be if you search around. you could quite likely get brand new 350d with kit lens for £250 if you where very lucky/persistant/willing to wait till a bargain came up. and second hand, you could probably get one slightly cheaper still. not saying theres anything wrong with the pentax(ive never used one, so cant comment on it) and the lens which are available, are cheap second hand. but the try before you buy facility of most nice camera shops(walk in with your cam, get them to get a display lens out, you piss around for a few minutes in the shop, if you like it, you tell them you want it, and usually by the display lens(as you know you got a sharp copy), and theyll stick another in the window) is lost, as is the hundreds of people on here who could help or hinder you as they have the same camera

thats scarily like my mates conversations. but to be honest the "im down here visiting mates, they said theyd meet me in wetherspoons, is this wetherspoons" can normally evoke a minute or so of conversation between even the dreariest couple. -

i would just say loosen up and be yourself, but chances are yourself is one of them quiet intimate beings who enjoys watchin the stars and talkin about band of brothers. 1) go grow some bollocks, women generally dont like shy inward guys, they like the guys that speak, realise this, that if you think she may like you, chances are she may like you more if you actually speak to her. 2) at the moment your just the alright looking guy whos eating a kfc family bucket all to himself with half a large side down his jacket supping a 2 litre bottle of rola cola in the park. seriously, how many fit, but nothing special girls do you see each day, must average out to be 50 + i should imagine, you remember very few, cos they didnt speak to you, i guarantee though you can remember what the last girl you didnt know but ended up speaking to looked like(unless you wer wasted in which case, you wer chatting crap anyway). seriously, you start speaking to her, shell remember you, id rather be remembed the cnut who got shot down by 342 girls in a row, than not remembered. your no1 to her as it is, it cant get no worse. if she fobs you off, then who cares, its not like you where making sex shapes just standing there not talking to her. 3) just pretend shes your older brother/uncle/grandma, makes them a lot easier to talk too(Also useful on the vinegar strokes to put your mind off sex).... nah thats generally a bad idea. but as for the talking, just say anything, not too cliche or obvious, but not too random. something along the lines of. "was i talking to you here last week(handy in a club)" "do i know you from somewhere" "excuse me, dont suppose youve got the time(dont do this after youve just sat on your phone for 5 minutes, or if theres a stupidly obvious clock around, or your wearing a watch). "excuse me, i was waiting for some mates, is this..... (its dead useful in a different city, if your in a bar/pub chain, ask them if this is wetherspoons/lloyds/yates(whichever one its not), it really is failsafe, you either get chatting after the first initial convo starter and carry on in there, their real taken and actually walk you to wetherspoons, you get chattin, and they then mention your mate in other pub- at this point you can either leave, leave and if its going well, tell them youll meet them later for a pint, or just say youll go outside and ring them, walk outside and dont ring em, or if its going crap, make your own excuses to leave to see your mate in other said pub chain, and walk off) anything like this will get the convo started, after that chat anything, pick up clues from them as to what there into, and match it up to your "faux " interests(if your shallow and just after a quick fling, or use it gauge how suitable they are, im talking dress sense, the songs she lip syncs to playin on the jukebox, the songs she gets up to dance to in the club, badges, her phone ringtone, jewellry, all allows you to get a better judge of who she is). dont look at your phone, dont look at your watch, dont fidget, dont stare aimlessly, dont wander, just pretend to be genuinely interested in the conversation.# its not hard to do, i dont find, right now you dont know her, a 2 minutes conversation, and if it goes tits up, you just go back to not knowing her. -

my ex wants me back, shes real hot. but shes tapped. i dont just mean tapped, as in all women are tapped, but shes real tapped. like a proper nutcase. thats a problem. also the fact ive been there before, we obviously ended for a reason. grrrr.... decisons. -
first simple plan of attack, pull it on and off a few times, then leave it off, while you get someone to push/carefully drive the car forward inch by inch, take a lump hammer to the backplate giving it a good thwack several times on the sticking side. will often just loosen it from the point its stuck on.

im not being funny, but if i was about to become an estate agent manager at a young age, wanted to make a good impression, proffessional image etc. i wouldnt be lookin at cars like this. something like dan ko's merc coupe, or another base modelish merc. a bmw 3 series, or a high specced one series. audi a4 cabriolet.or an audi s line a4(or whatever its called, the a4 with the appearance of an s4), or just a nice a4. possibly a new a3. vauxhall signum, very underrated, stylish, quick, comfy, and luxurious inside, but doesnt scream "im making a wad out of selling your house " i do like the new mondeo, very very nice car, again similar to the above. honda accord, again same as the above, beautiful car to drive. was lookin at one of the new sports styled accord diesels the other day, i like a lot, still very quick, but economical. engine wise, why go for a stupid big turbo'd petty car. get something around 2.0 and common rail turbo derv, and youll still sittin pretty around the 200 bhp mark, but have nice fuel economy and have a semi sensible image to all the people you work with and for.

yea and its a defender, meaning it costs £££.not denying your mates got a nice vehicle. as i said i do love them. but.... an early to mid nineties diesel defender in average condition(especially a hard top as opposed to chassis cab) will fetch £3000-£4500ish with about 80k on the clock, dependant on wheels, spec, mot, service history, etc. with no warranty etc(unless you buy it from a dealer, then its like £4000 - £5500) but for £4000-£5000, you could buy a 51/02 plate tranny off bt fleet, with a full service history, 12 months mot, 12 months warranty, 30k(seen some with as little as 16k go for £4600). see what im gettin at, you put your money elsewhere, and you get a lot more for your money. for the use it would get for ali(unless he suddenly takes up driving up snowden) its a very overpriced van(as 4wd,diff lock,so on and so forth would never be used, but all the cost would still be there). for a farmer/someone who does towing, its a very cheap vehicle for the use theyd get out of it.
-
mega cost in it too, unless you really need a proper tough 4 x4 that will go anywhere. or you have money to spare and really want a landrover. defenders are pretty expensive, so unless you look at an old series 2a/3 etc, your lookin at least a couple of grand for a ropey one. and if you get a series 2a/3, it will be rotten, it will most likely be a 2.25 petrol(only bonus is 2wd if wanted= better fuel economy), it wont have power steering. but with any land rover, youll get uncomfy seats, boneshaking ride, inability to get above 60 without thrashin it(my van is sooo slow, but itll still cruise at 80 on the motorway), a landrover at 60 tells u its at 60, ur teeth rattle out, the noise tells you you need to upgrade your stereo. and to top it off, expect about 20-25 to the gallon tops. dont get me wrong im a huge land rover fan, i love the things, there brilliant machines, for off roading, towing big stuff, or just gettin where nothing else will go in stupid conditions( pulling a 5.2 tonne iveco panel van out of a gulley in 6 inches of snow, no sweat, moving a broken down 44 tonne curtain sider round the yard wen its broken down, no problem) but as a vehicle to travel round the country, clock up motorway miles etc, no thanks. there overpriced, technologically pre historic vehicles when tryin to use like a normal vehicle. did i mention the awful steering lock, the heavy clutch etc, making any urban driving you do a right mission. discovery is a lot nicer vehicle for semi sensible money(l plate tdi for £1500), but then youd need to find the 3 door van version(rare) or settle for a people carrier like seatings arrangement and a fair bit of work to do.

unless its a chassis cab with pick up back with higher sides installed,or towin a caravan its not pikey at all,
-
wouldnt say its that cheap, no mention of mot, 130k on the clock on wat is a small engine for such a big van(i.e will have been ragged constantly to get it up to speed) and at £230 with 16 hours to go. may as well be out of tax by the time u get it back, and a list of faults(wandering steering etc) or for £500(as thats wat the goin rate is) you could buy a van like i will be selling in a month or 2, p reg, 96 plate tranny, 60k ish genuine miles(mots to prove etc) fsh( ex bt vehicle), 12 months mot, and no faults. i know which one id rather buy for the sake of a few quid.

the lad speaketh the truth about leeds, although im not doin anythin other than booze this year, honest...well i dont intend too. as for the medical trials, my mum used to work in a lab as a technician, often working with samples from these kind of trials(back in the 70's wen no one gave a toss about human guinea pigs) and shes suggested me doin them before to get some cash, so she either hates me, or they cant be that bad. shes said a few time, anything more permanent than a few days side effects wise is very very rare. she was sayin she knew a woman that had gone for her 2nd trial,(was someone one of my mums colleagues had roped into doing it for easy cash) . and she had an allergic reaction to something in the pills she was given to take on a 5 day trial, and had to take 3 weeks off work, due to being rather lethargic(not ill, just uber tired) and the lab had payed for her 3 weeks pay(so she hadnt lose anything) and payed her £900 as compensation(was something stupid like £1.70 an hour for the entire time). but this was back then, so money went a lot further, as my mum commented the woman was gettin payed more per hour as compensation (24/7) than she was gettin payed as a senior lab technician, and the woman was getting her normal pay on top of it. im sure nothin too bad will happen, yea bad things do happen, but there soo soo rare, its just when they happen we hear about them almost straight away(like the 4 people who ended up in hospital), doing medical trials is probably no more likely to end up in illness or injury requiring hospital treatment than a night on the booze.

depends what you class as too big, a lot depends on drivin abilities etc, i know a girl, who tried stickin my beemer on a mates drive (off a road, turn into a drive, then turn back the other way to fit on the drive, and couldnt, cos it was soo much bigger than her c2, but on the flipside i managed to reverse a jeep cherokee towing a 3 bike trailer on the same drive, without too much hastle) if i gave her a tranny van,itd be a lost cause on anythin other than a motorway, but for me, transits, vivaros, sprinters etc, are all manageable on everyday use. there no longer than a big saloon car really, only a few inches wider, and often have better lock, and the lack of overhang from the wheelbase makes things simpler, as does the high up drivin position, big vertical mirrors etc. wouldnt be bothered gettin an lpg vehicle, get a derv and run it on cookin oil and declare the tax on as much as you see fit on it if you want uber cheapness, unless you plan on doing super miles with a nearly new/new van and keeping it for years, lpg aint a viable option, just gettin it installed will run into the same kind of cost youd have for buyin the van, itd be a good 2/3 years before you recoup the costs at least. my 96 p transit 2.5 diesel panel van, does around 38-40ish to the gallon from the short time i had it on the road with sensible driving. canin it uses more, but thats true with every vehicle.

i was thinking this myself, as nice and shiny as macs are, £400 aint the best budget, but just for example, 2 minutes on ebay, looking at the windows offerings. with 19" monitor etc if you want a full system, im sure this will beat the macs youve posted by a small margin, as well as havin more programs/games out or baseunit only if youve already got a monitor, then for £400, again no pc expert, but sure it might be slightly better than the macs you posted. i.e this is fast enough to melt your face.
-
just get a transit, there dirt cheap, mine will of cost me about £100 with 12 months mot when im done. ill be selling for £500, so if you want one which is good for 12 months, then youll be looking to pay between £400 and £600, or if your willing to work on one to get its through mot, then anything from £20-£200 for a 95's series diesel tranny. and then do what you want, to it, mine for example came fitted with a slide out fibreglass canopy with heavyweight sides and front, to make an extra tenty bit on the rear of it, so in summer, if you where sleeping/just chilling in your van, you could whack the bike in the tent bit on the back, and have the whole of the back of the van to kip in.

Contact Lenses In Water Look Plaese If U Wear Them
Fish-Finger-er replied to Deonn h's topic in Chit Chat
not much help, but used to go out with a girl who wore contact lenses, she wore them to go swimming in, thats all i know. she kept them in for swimming an as far as im aware the remainder of the day/evening, and shes not blind, although she went out with me, so must be fairly close. actually my mate does as well thinkin about it(hes got the leave in for a month ones though, and doesnt change them after swimming, but then he may wear goggles) edit: but then about another 15-20 mates all take theirs out when goin swimmin, and im sure they dont just do it for fun, so theres got to be a reason for it. -

whether you made the right decision or not is irrelevant, you dont need confirmation or approval on it, youve done the right thing, as in you made a decision rather than sitting there mulling it over for days on end, now its finished, just move onwards and upwards. but honestly myspace top friends, does it really matter, writing somebody elses name on your tits, well thats a bit different, but you know, whether your in her top 8, who gives a feck. but the main point is whats done is done, youve made your decision, stick to it, and go find the next adolescent hormonal cock tease to dip your wick in. -
woah, first post on here in time for me. ive got a nokia n95, got it like 3 days after it came out or summit stupid. right now for the net, using it as a modem. 1) its got wifi, meaning you can use it as a wifi reciever(i.e if your house has a wireless network, but your comp is a desktop) via usb, or get wi fi on the phone. 2) the phone has got full net access on it, just a bit fiddly to use. 3)using your phone as a modem, you just plug it in via usb, and click connect on the pc suite, and its connected.... simple enough, but when it comes to using the net on your phone, heres what i get,(with t mobile) im on web and walk plus, which is £12.50 a month(altho i got £5 off by sweet talkin t mobile staff) so its £7.50 a month on top of regular contract. for that i get 3gb a month bandwidth, and the ability to use my phone as a modem. speed varies depending on signal, at my mates house, i can connect it up, its a 3g area, i get a speed of 480kbps, near enough half meg bb speed. at my house in the sticks i get 120 kbps. im rather a heavy net user, dont think i could cope with the phone as my only source off net, but for when im miles away from home with my laptop, its a life saver, for msn, and gettin directions/addresses/phone numbers etc off the net. for normal web browsing and msn'erry. its more than adequate, you can pay another 5'er to go up to 10gb, but seems pointless to me, as d/ls are crap speed wise on it anyway. so not really gaining anything much. but gettin the regular web and walk means no use as a modem. web n walk plus was the only one allowing modem use, with a sensible bandwidth limit.

as tomm said, doesnt look like the ideal place to live, blatanly going to have people walking past shouting and screaming at 5am in the morning.its the kind of place a 2nd year student would aspire to live in. if your just starting out and aint a total oldie, may be an idea to come over a couple of months early for a week or summit, and go trawling the shop windows etc, looking for either 3rd year(if your 25 or under should be able to pull it) or mature students with an extra room to let, that way itll be a cheaper, and chances are theyll be friendly to speak too, wont be loud and totally up for partying as theyll have work to do, but will be able to show you decent nights out in the city centre. money wise and quietness wise, go for the suburbs, as tomm said theres studenty areas and less studenty areas, which tend to vary in noise greatly(find a house to rent in timperley, sale, alty etc, itll be pretty quiet and town will be accessible easy enough using the metrolink(tram) system). othewise you got the total student areas, although my friends have just moved in too levenshume aftr moving out of fallowfield, which i thought was a step down(With levenshume being a student area, but also havin a total rudeboi/crime spree area reputation). but theyve got a house on a street in levenshume, which is so unstudenty and family orientated its unbelievable, i walked back down there about 3.45am last night, which would normally mean id be met by a load of similarly intoxicated idiots, but as it happened, i was the only one on the whole street and not a single house had any noise coming from it, or any lights on). basically go for a look round before you move in, knock on a couple of neighbours doors and ask how the area is as your thinking about moving there, if your met by a bunch of drunken student types, i suggest you avoid, unless your looking for the party atmosphere, but if your met by families etc, then i suggest its a lot bettr, although you have to make sure it isnt a walk way for drunk people between town and student digs)

ben i dont think band tattoos are ever a good idea, at 14 i loved sum 41, at 15 i loved green day, 16 i loved kanye west, 17 i loved tupac,18 i loved hilltop hoods, at 19 ive realised id feel like a willy if i got any of them tattoo'd on my body, something to think very hard about, altho ultimately its your body. and fat pants, being a nonce is no longer an arrestable offence i dont think

done use facebook or bebo, just myspazz, bebo just seemts to chavvy/slaggy, full of burberry, henri lloyd and girls who are 14 who like boyz who drive in saxos which are well lush. facebook just seems, well tooo following a trend. facebook probably will overtake myspace, which overtook bebo, which overtook faceparty. while msnspaces, got left in a world of its own with no one using it. then something will overtake facebook, and the whole thing will carry on again.

bit of a false statement that, lookin at half this forums age, id say 1/2 dont have jobs, looking at the death of the post a picture of your missus thread, id say 60% dont have girlfriends, and a good 2.3% probably dont have any real friends. -

Police Trouble - Majour F**k Up. - The Rest Added!
Fish-Finger-er replied to Mod Man Leo's topic in Chit Chat
dont get me wrong, im fully with kris with it, if its how he said, the police where incompetent, but theres no point being a cheeky lippy tosser, saying youve got an aus passport so your gunna leave the country. asking for legal advice at that stage. while your mate was being silent(if you didnt want to say anything, thats the way to do it). although they cant do you for anything this time, being an arsehole to them, does mean the next given chance they will be an arsehole to you. they know your face and your name, if you step slightly out of line, and theyve got proof of it, theyll be more likely to be arseholes, next time your caught dropping litter, dont expect to be told politely to pick it up, expect no if's no buts, an £80 fine. also some things still dont add up, when you wer in the interview, unless you had your own solicitor, which you pay for, youd get a duty solicitor from a local law firm, they generally wont speak in the interview, there not there to do the talking for you, they are there for advice and to make sure your time in custody is correctly done. the fact they didnt arrest you the previous night, although a fault of the police, is irrelevant, they arrested you the next day when you entered the police station according to you. before your finger prints were took, they would of most likely filled in a form with the arresting officer, officers present, your basic details, and the offence. at this point you would sign to agree with it, if you signed to agree with it, you are at that point, signing to say youve been arrested, you agree that the belongings put in the custody locker are correct, that you have had your rights, and you understand your rights. and the whole you cant leave the country thing, doesnt ring true to me, ive been on bail with 2 offences at different times, which would had i been prosecuted both carried hefty custodial sentences, both times i was granted unconditional bail on several occasions, before and after being charged. and on stuff not carrying custodials, its always been taken as granted that there would be unconditional bail. dont see why a class C caution would be any different, especially as your still a minor. normally when your not allowed to leave the country, youd be asked to surrender your passport too. and normally unless your charged, which by the sounds of it you havent been, youd get unconditional bail(possibly with scheduled check ins), or remanded in custody. -
yea but im just happy with everything as it is, why change it, hence the wallpaper, when the power went to the back, it was good, whys everything changed. will get round to upgrading at some point, but till then, bollox to it. dont see how tabbed chats would improve my life.

How Do You Put Bad Thoughts In The Back Of Your Mind?
Fish-Finger-er replied to Barbra's topic in Chit Chat
maybe a bit later barber, but still, my outlook, what happens happens. may seem a bit stepped back and uncaring too start with. but its a pretty good selection process. at the end of the day it doesnt matter if she cheats on you,it ends, and she clearly wasnt worth it. and if she doesnt, then nothings happened, so its happy days. on a likewise note, in the last 4.5 years i havent had a relationship last longer than 2 months. but i dont view that as a problem, it means im constantly being kept on my toes, i just get bored, or find something stupidly irritating. its just the way i am, i found one girl that was changing me, and i was like, yea, this is ok, im settling down, ive finally found a girl worth changing for. but then realise, actually i like me how i am(well id like to lose 3 inches on the waist, and add 3 on the tripod, but the rest of me does just fine) and dont want to change.
