watched harsh times last night before going out, i dont know what it was about it, the story was a story id normally be into(military, gangster, drug abuse, gun crime etc), the acting was good enough, there where no fake special effects, but it just didnt work at all, was real hard work just watching it without gettin distracted. im giving it somewhere between a 5.0 and a 5.5 out of 10, purely because i cant put my finger on the faults with it, so maybe i was just in a hurried non film watching mood.

damn, if the geometry had been the same, i wouldnt of cared that it was a rip off, would of bought it for the crack, horizontal drop outs, some stiff gearing, be an immense street frame.

yea theres plenty i know absolutely feck all about, but if i dont know about something, i dont talk about it, to save myself looking foolish/misinformed/making myself look like a b*llsh*tter. so the stuff you see me talking about, i generally know a decent amount about. hence the reason i never pop up in the bmx threads, or kitesurfing threads, and make only fleeting appearances in the girl threads. not wanting to contradict my above post, as what happens after you reach your 6 or 12 points is a mystery to me, its something ill read up on if the need arises, but..... will the rules not be slightly different for mike, with him having held a license less than 2 years.(i know at work when people have lost their licenses, some of the people whove had licenses 3-4 years, get a 30day ban and no retest under totting up/ 55's in 30's etc. but all the people under 2 years had to have a retest for similar/the same offences) once more i repeat the fact i have little knowledge on this, so aint quoting gospel, but its the way it seems to of panned out for people i know.so if your up on these kind of matters(presumably your a court clerk/trainee solicitor/bloke who likes sitting in the back of court listening to cases) you may be able to shed some light on the matter, or at least know where to find this light that needs shedding.

single person testing is hardly a special name, and i dont see how it sucks that much. so you spent 7 weeks, sitting in a vehicle, checking the lights, running through the "footbrake on, footbrake off, shake your steering, footbrake on, footbrake off, footbrake on, footbrake off, footbrake on, footbrake off, footbrake on, footbrake off, ok. go on and off with your handbrake. ok, pull that forward onto the plates, full lock, against the stops, ok, footbrake on, keep it on that lock, footbrake on, opposite lock, against the stops, footbrake on, ok, hold it on that lock, against the stops, footbrake on, ok, straighten her up, pull her back, put her in neutral, turn her off, leave the handbrake off" as thats what an mot assistant does. purely those commands in 95% that order. the way i see it, if you did anything else, then nothing youve learnt is necessarily factually correct. as if the garage was letting you do roller brake tests, inspect tyres, run through emissions, etc, then its breaking the rules(and ultimately the law) and a garage that operates in that way,is probably not going to be too assed about following the correct legal in's and outs of wether its a pass, a pass and advise, or a failiure. if your garage thinks an mot means checking everything will be ok for the next 12 months, i think your garage should lose its status as a testing station quite frankly. also to be an mot tester, you have to of worked in the automotive industry for the last 4 years. not 7 weeks one summer.

si-man, you must be a silent hit man, i.e never on the phone, mine will never last more than 2 days, with regular use, its like a day and a half. with bluetooth and 3g turned off. i really like mine, be pretty much perfect if it wasnt for the battery life. bloke up there saying about the maps, just download the whole of the uk on ur home computer(google nokia map loader) and stick it on ur phone, best way. as for downside of turning off 3g, no video calling, slow internet. pretty much it as far as i can see.

driving illegally is driving illegally, whether youve been doing it for 30 seconds, or 2 years. it makes no odds. and trying to be smart never wins brownie points, having a clueless attitude sometimes wins the day. and your an MOT tester????
-
this doesnt have much to do with the topic, but if you dont know what your talking about, dont give out advice/legal standings. the mot is purely a check of the basic roadiworthyness of the car at the time it was tested. nothing more, (if your interested, the mot test standard is stupid low, if a vehicle was just at mot standard, i wouldnt like to drive it.) as for if your brakes are going to fail the day after the mot, it wouldnt pass, thats bollox, and its no where near making sure things will last another year. example, i could have brand new brake pads in the front of my car, mot it, but i drive 600 miles a weekend some weekends. if i then had a 70 mile a day round trip to work, thats 950 miles a week, if i drove like a tit, on softish pads. give it 3 months, id be down to metal. let alone if i had half worn pads, or 3/4 warn pads(which would still pass) i could have brand new tyres, reversing out of the mot station, i clip a kerb, 3 minutes after my mot was issued, the car would no longer be road legal due to a bulge in a tyre. can wear a set of softish tyres out in a month if you drive like a total tit, theres a bloke who gets tyres done on a 1.3 cdti combo at our place, last him 3500 miles. was about to say mike, theres one way i know of, thats been used to get off charges like this, but as seen as it happened on august the 9th, i guess its no use now, as it only works in the 48 hours or so after getting stopped.

shock for me there too, was expecting utter crap, but was quite good for a somewhat child orientated film. the great raid 8.5/10 - wasnt expecting great things, its an utterly great war film the last drop 4.5/10 - was expecting a decent war flick, that was funny, but it just didnt work at all, was total crap delta farce 4/10 - was expecting a good war orientated comedy(but a more american experience, on a slightly more laughable topic, as 1939-1945 cant really have many funny moments-thats why the last drop was so crap) unfortunately it wasnt funny, was too predictable, and totally pathetic. chaos -8/10 - mint film, loved it. highly recommended

in my money wasting days as a chef ive spent £150 on a hoodie, £110 on jeans, and £160 on trainers. but never again. but then at that point i had masses of disposable income and worked too many hours to go out clubbin too often etc, so didnt really drink, other than freebies swung by the bar staff at the end of the night. got a £400 watch, but thats a lifelong purchase, so is fairly economical, unlike trainers, which only look good for a few months till they become coated in beer and blood no matter how much they cost.

being well dressed and in fashion is not about £££'s its about wearing stuff that goes together and suits you. some people have an eye for it, and can go spend £35 in tk maxx and tesco, and look the best dressed in the room, likewise you could send someone out with £800, theyd by some garish dark blue aj jeans with massive logos on,a pair of white nike shox, a long sleeved yellow prada shirt, and a sand coloured stone island zip through hoodie. and theyd look like the worst fashion incident since day glo leggings and shell tops came to haunt nu-rave and wearing expensive clothes is something very few of us on here do, if any. out of my mates i probably spend the most on clothes, but i still think im pretty cheapskatish when it comes to clothes. used to socialize with some people, who used to go buy cardigans for £400, jeans for £350, a plain white long sleeved t with a bit of a funny cut for £80, some shoes for £150. (i recall one trip to manchester, where one of the lads spent £1400 in one shop) and theyll get an outfit out of it. thats a long way off spending £70 on a jumper or £100 on some jeans etc.

and then you realise that different people have different music tastes.

really dont see that its going to be that bigger thing, despite the size of it, and the fact its rather highly publicised. its the same weekend as tidy. and tidy is blatently one of/if not the biggest event on the hardcore/dance calendars for the year, with it being a 3 day event. wont be going, may be going tidy(Altho its awkward as im away the monday to friday, both the week before and the week after tidy.)

dont think the grandma should of been held responsible for that really. only issue is smoking cannabis in the same house as her grandaughter 1) it was new years eve,she was expected to be slightly intoxicated, she was only said to be double the drink drive limit when police took blood samples. now bear in mind, thats technically 4 pints within the hour, its not an awful lot really. two bottles of wine over the course of 6/7 hours isnt excessively drunk. id question your ability to drive, but youd still be sober. 2) it wasnt her dog, it was her sons dog, the uncle of the girl who was killed. 3) for the dog to me let into the house, it must be semi friendly. its a dog, most dogs(Especially those with pitbull/terrier/husky in them) have a temper, which will take so much. if it had been a dog which was purely a guard dog(my mate has 2 pitbull/staffie crosses, there house pets for the first 6 months, then his dad turns them into animals that guard the farm, that are barely approachable by anyone, unwalkable, vicious, but they do the job, and if kept safely away from innocent people, there perfectly fine) then it would of been a different, but it was a house pet. strokable, would probably lick your face, possibly slightly boystrous. if a dogs provoked it will set about someone. its nature, in the same way if you stroked me, played fetch with me, fed me, id probably lick your face/be sociable with you(Whatever you prefer), but if you sat ther pokin my face, pullin on me ears etc. id probably take so much and snap.

hope thats not the rule your living by, its pretty wrong, its totally wrong i think. third party means your insured for any damage caused to a third party(i.e who/wat you hit will get repaired/replaced/compensate as will your passengers) fully comp, means if you smash your car up, and its done in a good and legal fashion in terms with your insurance, theyll repair/replace that too. and as for the 3 years TPFT insurance going when you go fully comp. its got nothing to do with changing the level of cover, its the policy holder that matters. for exampe i could insure my car third party for a year, then fully comp for 2, then third party for a year. id still have 4 years no claims, as id had insurance in my name for 4 years. if your mum has had you on her insurance for 4 years fully comp or third party, you wont have any ncb for yourself, unless your with directline, which is a massive con anyway. some insurers if you go with who your mum was with, may give you a discount for telling them youd be on your mums for 3 years or whatever depends on your insurer, some insurers wont cover you to drive other peoples cars regardless of age, whereas others will give it you at 21. and others are a bit funny about it, such as "3rd party on any vehicle not registered at your home address, which must have a policy already active on it"

madelaine, and 2 younger twins. suppose the original thought as to why the other 2 didnt get kidnapped is she was possibly took for a paedophile ring, where people would of payed hundreds of thousands to do what they want to her(hostel style) and to do that to the younger twins, may of been deemed a step too far even for them/ there was less demand for them. also if you wer going to nick a child of that age, you know the other 2 couldnt speak about it/give discriptions, by nicking one old enough to walk, youd be able to get the whole few hours confusion where maybe she could of walked off. allowing you to get her to north africa/south america/asia without the ports/airports being on lockdown. whereas is all 3 went missing, youd have 3 times as many people to nick/hide, and itd instantly be treated as a crime scene within a matter of minutes. as for the parents. its wrong to speculate. but the whole rental car 5 weeks later does seem highly unlikely, as does the blood spatters, as they wer both gp's. if they wanted to do it, the smart way would of been to of od'd her on tranqs(which they supposedly had anyway), and got rid of her before the meal, dumped her in the sea or something. then faked going back to check on her a couple of times. then not making too huge an appeal, just being stupidly upset. but to think her parents, who where under constant surveillance could of done something like that 5 weeks later, and kept up without cracking for 5 weeks knowing they still had a body to dispose of, seems a bit stupid to me. as for the druggin there kids thing, loads of doctors do it, its super common. pretty much my thoughts right now, just cos the sun says they did it, dont mean they did it. every piece of evidence doesnt appear to make much sense. as i said above. if however they did do it, the portugese police have aparently said if she confesses, it means no more than 2 years in jail. 1) that seems like a nice buy out to solve the case for them. and 2) barring false identities, which even then will be dodgy, theyll be killed within months of leaving a portugese jail, if not killed while there in jail

firs time through its fine, but after the follow up, and then seeing it in slow motion, made me feel slightly sick. +1. official member of the cripple fan club

not to sure if they cant smell it through the johnny. but think about it, a johnnys pretty airtight(you can use it as a balloon) double bag it, itll be even more airtight. and then the shampoo/suntan lotion will cover any residue of the smell, as well as making it harder for the smell to get out. not only that, its a normal thing to take on holiday, and if you got some you need to bring back with you. your bound to be able to get johnnies and shampoo etc over there.

yea because drugs are significantly cheaper in the us???? (not even mentioning the fact jt doesnt want to start smuggling drugs, and sniffer dogs can still sniff out drugs inside a ck hub.

if that was a quick dig at me, i meant it more as in, if one of my mates who i used to go out drinkin with to tivoli nightclub or the vic, when we wer 15/16. who would now be 19 -20ish, got a HTID(perhaps the 4 letters, and the angel symbol on there shoulder or something) tattoo itd be pretty stupid, but i could understand, it was a part of growing up(personally im not a fan of the music, but it was first experiences clubbing etc), there lifestyle, encompassed a lot of crap for them, first times out, first time gettin ratted, losing there virginity, popping there first pill, beginning to live for the weekend. would say it was a major stage in them growing up can see why someone would have had a tattoo of that done, as a memory of some of the happiest and most rapidly changing times in there life. but now for all the 14-16 year olds to stick it on there schoolbooks, in there display names, on there wrists(no offence again danny), just seems rather lame. it doesnt mean anything to a lot of them(not saying it doesnt mean anything to you danny) its just a cool fashion statement
-
think is when the original HTID album cameout, i was just getting into clubs, but like the real crappy clubs that only played dance music, had a dj who couldnt really mix etc, proper dives, as it was all we could get into. and i remember alot of people bumming the album, and people doing each other copies etc. so i was kind of into it at the time, but i never once started using that statement, (but then i wouldnt of, as it wasnt cool to back then) but most of the people who now have it in their msn names etc, have probably never ever seen the first album, let alone listened to it. like no offence to danny, its obviously something he feels real strongly about(unless he got a tattoo as a fashion statement but then hes smarter than that) but when the album came out, he had just turned 12 i should imagine(i remember getting a copy of it off my mate for my 16th birthday, and that was a couple of weeks after it had come out i think)
-
therere doing it as a homage to danny's new tattoo, there his minions, and following his lead by copying that statement he uses. or its a statement about a genre of dance music, the statement itself was copied from a title of an album mixed by dj hixxy, darren styles and mark breeze. the name is now used as almost a "group " name on any flyers/promo cds etc done by the trio, and probably used on a load more bootleg hardcore dance events/mixes. and its now become a bit of a statement for the bebo generation.
