  1. semi good point, but id set up an ebay shop and just keep em listed on their permanently and wen one sells, you buy one and send it off (i was suggesting motorcross dvds as i knew the difference in price, but i think biking dvds are similar cost wise, so youd possibly get a small market of people off here, but im sure if you looked into it, surfing, snowboarding, skating, skateboarding etc would all have similar outcomes and as youd need no stock providing you knew a local place that sold them) . as for the postage im paying $5 per dvd generally, which is £2.50ish, cant see them losing anything on the postage. stuff like mx boots helmets, jerseys, casual wear(fox, alpinestars, TLD etc), enduro jackets etc are all a lot cheaper over their too(top end helmets are 20% of the price, casual wear is generally around 50% of the price, similar price on jerseys and jackets, boots vary wildly) but youd have to be very careful on duty/leave a small print in the item discription saying you will either not be held responsible for duty incurred/will pay back 50% of it, or whatever. but as i say thats what i know, im sure if you look into it theres other stuff you can do that with ( camera lens is another one, but not sure of margins on this as i aint looked into it) small arms etc?
  2. errrr. providing you bought premium, you get the cable out of the box, plug it into your router(providing you have one) and into your xbox, start up your xbox, go to the dash and select live and its self explanatory, if you aint got a router you got to do it through your pc in which case i cant help.
  3. errr... yea they would, most extreme sports dvds are region free. ive got nitro circus 4 here from the u.s works fine on any of 5 dvd playing devices in my house(2 laptops, 1 14" dvd tv combi, and 2 dvd players), its only mainstream(i.e stuff that you buy in hmv thats region protected). my manifesto dvd came from canada, and i think my "the art of trials " dvd was from the us/canada, i remember buying it from a uk seller, but coming with international labels on it. ill have 5 more arriving in the next couple of weeks, im confident they will work, and ill let you know if they dont im sure you could make a pretty little penny on it too, given that im paying £15ish a dvd shipped from the us, but their selling for £20-£25 posted in this country, and youd be getting them for way under £15(like £9-£10 lookin at most online retailers in the u.s and selling them for say £22 posted, ebays gunna take £1,and postage is gunna be like £2, thats £8-£10 per dvd, you said you wanted to maken £60 minimum a week, thats only 6/7 dvds a week, and obviously if you start selling 5 copies of nitro circus a week, you can approach a wholesaler/ the company that produces them, about buying them in bulk(as the shops obviously making a few dollars on each dvd).
  4. the criminal record is enough to get you banned from the u.s.a, i got done for criminal damage(was digging dirt jumps on a patch of scrub land, 3 of us where, but due to to the police response when the officer asked for back up(3 lads, 3 bikes, 1 of him, 2 alleyways adjacent to the scrub land and a road can see he kind of us expected us to do one) it ended up with a dog van, 6 panda cars and a riot van there, (total of 14 officers and 1 dog there) we made the front page of the shropshire star, so they couldnt just let us go on our way) which was wiped when i reached 18. so doesnt appear on job applications. that and 3 other arrests (none of which i have ever been charged over). so basically i dont have a criminal record, and have never been found guilty of anything. but 1 arrest these days suddenly makes an honest trip to america nigh on impossible (as on the visa waiver it asks if youve ever been arrested)) so a criminal record in the u.s would exclude you from america, unless you where very lucky. you thought anymore of the ebay selling of extreme sports dvds JT, seems fairly foolproof to me, providing you live close to a store selling them.
  5. lol, never said they wer good clubs, was more saying how out of the clubs ive been into, them 2 appeared to have the least drug use, of course i realise in there there would be a fair few people on cocaine and pills, but it wasnt as blindingly obvious as when i went to the syndicate in bristol, and everyone on the main dance floor was clearly overdoing the disco biscuits. as for my current social circles, of my recent nights out in manchester, im pretty much the only one in my social group who doesnt take drugs. out of the 30 or so of us camped together at leeds, i was the only one not taking drugs.
  6. a) he didnt go there to sell drugs, we went out for a weekend on the motorbikes, we always used to go to this club on a saturday night when we went up their summer 06, over the winter he started selling drugs back home, he said "you reckon i should bring some with me and try and make a bit of money" i said "please yourself", we didnt go 70 mile just so he could sell pills, we went to the coast to ride motorbikes in the hills, and go drinking in the one club in the whole sodding town(well we went to ride motorbikes, but after dark their aint much else to do ). so in fact it was pure coincidence. B.) that was 1 club out of 1 in that town if you want to be pedantic but as i said, that was kind of an average club, ive been in far better clubs (oceania/stonehouse bristol) and far worse clubs(syndicate bristol/soapy joes kingswood/ jillys manchester/ overdraft manchester/po na na's manchester/ scu bar manchester/ d and b. night at saki bar manchester/ mmu student club(rock kitchen/thursday night d and B.)/5th ave before the smoking ban) as far as drugs was concerned, it was plainly average. thats why i didnt give a percentage, i said i should imagine its mirrored up and down the country.(its not like i go to total drug ridden dives on purpose either). i only gave a percentage on people in my year at school who i know/am fairly certain are on/have done drugs. (i had 100 people in my school in my year) and i reckoned half of them where/are. looking at it now, id say that figures possibly higher than 50%. and i live in a fairly average rural area, with well performing students, i dont live in some kind of ghetto (70% of students get 5 a*-c grades). i should imagine its far worse in inner city schools. to mr arnold, not defending drugs, think theres no need for them. but the exact same minus points apply to drink, only its often more expensive. (i can spend £100+ on booze in a night, if i was doing pills, i could put meself into another dimension for £5) but thats still rather popular and very few people ask "whats the point" edit: to get rid of smilies for b.) rather than
  7. bit of a broad sweeping statement there, unless its sarcasm. or your young and naive, i dont know wether the percentages of people doing drugs have always been the same(well not always but for a few years) and that i was just unaware of it when i was younger, or wether its something which has rose sharply in the past 12-18 months or so. but in school id say 5% of people in my school smoked weed at the end of year 11. i havent kept in touch with many of them, but id now say (using the people i went to college with, the rough numbers of people on nights out/ when i go to mates uni's) about 50% of my year are now on or have been on drugs. (ive been to house parties/clubs wer a good 75% of people where on drugs). im not going to make a list of all the people on here who do drugs, what they do, their home address and their stash pot, but i know plenty of members on here(considering i dont actually know/speak to that many people on here) that either currently partake in recreational drug taking or have done. and probably a load more closet junkies. just a rough estimation of drugs, we went to a club with 300 capacity this easter saturday, a person i know sells drugs, the club wasnt full by any means, so were talking 250 people in there, he alone, sold 160 pills that night in there. says to me at least 1/3 of the people in there where on drugs he sold. now i know there was at least one other guy selling pills in there, that same guy was selling coke. and then theres all the people who brought their own with them. thats a hell of a lot of people on drugs. should imagine this is mirrored up and down the country, often worse in many clubs(this wasnt an especially drugged up club really, regular r and b/commercial dance saturday night in a coastal town night club) to the mancunians, overdraft, that place is so drugged up its unbelievable(coke and pills mainly). jillys is a total different club, but the number of people doing pills acid and speed in their is crazy. 5th avenue, before the smoking ban came in,the whole place stank of weed most nights, and there was a fair few people on pills in their. by the way, right now i dont even drink, i dont do drugs, and havent done drugs since june 23rd this year, and even then it was a rare recreational past time. pills are a dirty drug in my eyes though, someone could give me a fairly sizeable bag of coke, and a few quid(for research purposes or whatever), and id have no qualms about putting it up my nose over the course of a weekend. but give me just 2 or 3 pills, and youd have to pay me a fairly sizeable chunk of money to do the same. its like ive seen the same person be off his face off 1 pill, and then munch 19 pills to get in the same state before, they wer both ecstacy, just in varying strengths. then you got the pills that get cut with anything( anyone that went to leeds saw the amount of peopled K'd up on the dodgy pills doing the rounds) i realise coke aint always a constant strength/cut with clean substances, but its not as bad in my opinion.
  8. it will be the 6th or the 13th as i said 6 months ago today. my reasons for saying the 6th or the 13th remain the same, theres a possibility of it being the 4th or the 11th, but i very much doubt it(as moving it to directly clash with prison break on the fox network would be a mistake, as it would lower viewing figures for both shows) and i also think abc would have more to lose by doing that, as many people will be in full swing of prison break season 3, and so not to want to switch off 1/2 way through the the season to join lost. theres a small possibility it could return on the 20th,although i kind of doubt this(would mean there would be a double episode season finale as previously done, and there would be no season catch ups(other than those included in the season) (lost season 1-3 had episodes which were season hilights, and wernt counted as episodes) and it would finish on the last wednesday in may(which is quite likely imo)) so i still stand by the 6th or the 13th, although it may possibly be the 20th, now ive given a brief bit of thought 6 months on from my initial post. by the way im referring to the date in the u.s as i download all my episodes.(so i can watch em several times over like a saddo, and so i get em sooner) and the start of season 4, not s04e00 (like a preview thing/hilights of past 3 seasons) that their pretty likely to churn out. but sheehan, 1) your diggin up a way old topic, way before anyone has much interest in lost 2) all your info is 6 months old, and why are people using spoiler tags with it still, it aired in the uk 5.5 months ago. its hardly a secret as to what happened. theres no need to hide your stuff, its not like any fans wont have seen season 3 yet. and as for the people that may start watching it all from season 1 soon, on the same front can no one talk about any of the scary movies, the machinist, any of the saw films, james bond films, shrek 1-3 etc. for the benefit of those people who havent seen them yet 3) ill give you £5 via paypal if it airs on the 24th of february.
  9. yea that aint overly cheap, in fact id say itd be pretty expensive taking into account the mileage. and its been a typical rude boi chav car, not even a modified car in the sense of someones whos modifying it to improve its looks, is it me or has it got aftermarket skirts on it, chuck in the lexus lights, the cheapo universal filter and the cheapo alloys, and its certainly a ripspeed/halfords special. also can i point out, the insurance wont be cheap on that, if your declaring the modifications on it, you may as well be driving a standard astra sri(most insurance companies tend to want 10-15% for non manufacturer alloys, and the same again for an induction kit(if your insurance even allows "performance" modifications that is, if it has got aftermarket skirts then your looking at anywhere between 10 and 25% dependant on insurer, and lights could probably get chucked under general body mods(with the skirts) or just ignored. but your looking at anywhere between 30% and 55% extra on your premium due to the mods, if your insurer covers all/any of the mods. if you go to the trouble of putting it back to standard, itll set you back another few hundred quid. by which time you might as well of bought a standard astra. bloke at work bought a 52 plate astra 1.7 cdti with 60k on the clock for around the £2500 mark, with 12 months warranty, new pads, new discs, 2 new front tyres etc. so i wouldnt say its cheap at all.
  10. totally agreed(as i said above) about maximuscle being the biggest rip off known to man. as for creatine, never took it. but those people i know at the gym who have taken it state the following benefits. 1) water retention in the muscles, this makes you look bigger for a start, which some of them find nice, but second of all, as the muscles are full of water, waters kind of the bodies transport system between cells, mean nutrients/protein strings can flow into the muscle cells easier, and lactic acid and toxins out easier. meaning they can grow better. one of the steroid heads used the following analogy. your body is the soil, the plants your muscles, you can stick all the fertilizer you want in the soil, in the same way you can stick all the protein/nutrients you want in your body, but without water, theres no way for it to move from the soil to the plant, the same with your body to the muscles. obviously this aint 100%, but i can get what he is saying. 2) the short explosive bursts of energy you refer to, mean you can lift heavier weights in that time, which means your lifting more in that time, increasing performance for that work out, its also making the muscle work harder as its lifting more weight, meaning it will be adapting to working harder, and adapting means growing. meaning you end up with bigger(stronger) muscles. edit: also bondy, i urge you to try nutrisport 90+, it comes in a fair whack cheaper than optimum nutrition stuff, at £52 for 5kg, with a free shaker and free creatine, and ive found it to be slightly better tasting too, but then thats personal preference, but its certainly cheaper.
  11. lol, during the week me diets good, ive got a routine, im up at 7.15 to be in work for 8, i have lunch at 12.30-1.00 clock off at 4, go to gym on the way home from work, get home after 6 etc, in bed for 11. its all nice and easy to stick me meals in there at the correct times. and not to eat at the other times as ive got stuff to do. but at the weekend, i get up when i want, bum round all day if i aint on the motorbike/boozin, eat when i want, go to bed when i want, its far easier to sit downstairs, walk into the kitchen to get a glass of water, pick up a pack of crisps and a chocolate bar and sit down eating them in front of the tv.
  12. kris are you sur you didnt do 55lbs with a piss poor technique, and not 55kg(55lbs is still impressive). not trying to call you a liar or anything, im genuinely interested, as if you could curl 55kg with any form, i seriously think you should look at gettin heavily into powerlifting, as your natural strength must be through the roof. my case in point, 40kg dumbell curls think that guy has put some serious time in down the gym, he may of also added to his diet with protein powders at one time or another, i dont think itd be too far fetched to say hes possibly tried some supplements at some time. im not going to accuse that guy of taking roids, cos thats just plain rude.
  13. i aim to consume 3 litres of water 100g of whey powder a tin of tuna a tuna steak/chicken breast/piece of fish a jacket potato an oat based breakfast then either some pasta or rice or bread for the rest of me carbs and some fruit every day (obviously thats not religious, if i go out for a meal, ill try and pick a semi healthy dish, likewise if peopple at work are all havin bacon butties, ill join in, somedays ill have a chilli or summit instead) which i normally get semi close too(quite often breakfast gets skipped and ill chuck in a chocolate bar or packet of crisps somewhere in the day) except for at the weekends, when either boozin takes over, or i dont go boozin and have a mass of free time, its also wen mother goes shopping and she insists on buyin shit no matter how much i tell her not too. i didnt think my diet was too bad yesterday till i added it up. i had: 4 packs of crisps 4 breakaway bars 1/2 a french stick 6 cereal bars (not healthy ones mind, harvester dips, which are chocolate coated) 2 munchies ice cream 1 crunchie ice cream jacket potato and tuna. 60g of whey powder. which is possibly why im still a fat fcuk.
  14. wasnt so much talking about the gps, the gps only works when its activated on the phone. was more talking about the location from triangulation of the phone masts (the 400 metre thing you were on about before) aparently that can still work when the phone is turned off.
  15. erm, records in .mpeg4, at 640 x 480. as for the whole tracking thing, technically they can track to within 5 metres in a built up area as it is, and that even applies when the phone is turned off if needed. but unless your doing something seriously wrong, i dont see why you got something to worry about.
  16. digging it up from the past here. for anyone whos still training. 92kg weight now, down to about 15-16% bodyfat. bench press 75kg ( 3 x 10) incline bench 60kg ( 3 x 12) bicep curls 14kg ( 3 x 12) - yea they got lower i dont understand. dumbell bench 24kg each side. (3 x 12) wide grip pull ups - own body weight ( 3 x 8ish) tricep dips - own body weight (4 x 6) lateral pull downs 80kg (3 x 12) reckon me 1 rep maximum bench is on the good side of my body weight now, and most likely on the good side of 100kg. wanna be at 8-10% bodyfat by april, at the moment im well on schedule, wether ill manage it is another matter.(christmas+ working away in january and march for 2 weeks at a time)
  17. nah, its more he thinks of you as a god, not that odd really, given that your built like a Buddha. i some how knew it was him from your first post, maybe because i always think of you jon mack,(not due to your name, due to the fact you like macs and he bums them. and hes into his photography, like you. and hes annoying as hell, like y.....(only kidding) but didnt he do the whole get banned and sign up with another username thing, then get validated, is ok for a while, and then turns out to be a bit prickish again.
  18. i dont see it as expensive for the phone, i just see the whole contract thing making it expensive, if it was in shops at £269 and you stuck your sim card in it, id probably of bought one and binned the n95 off(i need a bigger music player, and im bored of my phone, its a lot cheaper than buyin a new phone and getting a new ipod). but the price of the contract is stupid expensive i pay £35 a month and get £180.00 of credit, which is 900 minutes or 1800 texts or a mixture of the 2, but on top of that i get free everning and weekend calls, so loadsa my minutes aint counted, i get free 3g net access, including using me phone as a modem for me pc(a lot better than paying £12 a day for travellodge broadband) with a 3gb monthly limit and got a n95 for free when they were like £450 on ebay and £600 officially sim free.
  19. also just realised, what would a sensible punishment be for not wearing one? considering you dont need a license, points cant really be used its a bit too minor to think of a prison sentence. so fines is a simple answer. but what amount? to the commuter £30/ £60 sounds reasonable. itd be a warning, but not enough to impact me severely enough that id stop riding my bike to work(if i did that was) but to the bloke whos just come off benefits, travelling to his first job in 3 years, 10 days in, its a big amount of money. likewise to all the kids getting caught everyday, there parents wont be payin up,specially if there council estate kids so to speak, there wouldnt be enough money there. with driving the things like seatbelt fines and the like, are generally perfectly just, because unless theres bigger crimes going on(i.e ones which will require court time) in the same vehicle, youve got someone who can afford a car, tax and insurance, or the person driving will do, and its partially there responsibility to make sure there passengers are wearing a seatbelt. but with a bike you can buy a bike for £5, and thats all you need. so to find £60 to pay a fine, is rather a lot if you can only just afford a bike
  20. yea but to implement this youd need to either have to have reg plates/individual frame numbers/stick on bar codes for bikes,a government database for the police to use and a national ID system. either that or have each person insured to ride a bike, in which case a national ID system would be needed, and if checks where to be made on this, either a national id card would have to be made compulsory to be carried at all times whilst on a bike.
  21. no, not at all, its all about risk evaluation. ive rode my motorbike without a helmet before, admittedly not far (about 200 metres total, was trying to start it, and move it round to the back of my mates van from my trailer, so we could get kitted up.) but the way i saw it, i was going 200 metres on the flat/gravel/concrete surface, doing no more than 15 mph, and i can control a bike fine. but technically if a copper had seen me i could be in big trouble. yet ive followed a rider riding a bandit 600s, who was riding in football shorts, a wife beater ,a pair of trainers, and a helmet, with his gf on the back in jeans, strappy top, and a helmet. thats legal, but you wouldnt catch me riding my bike on a public road with other road users, in any less than jeans and thick layered tops and gloves, and u wont catch me offroad in anything less than me full mx gear. likewise with using pushbikes, its all about personal risk, if im riding down me road to try a bike out, im not gunna wear a helmet, ever, but then i wont venture offroad without one. and as for the lad whos mum found him covered in blood in his back yard, its private property, most road traffic rules cant be enforced on your own property, as its generally not classed as a public highway. so youd still be able to ride without one there.
  22. meh, boss youve got no taste, everyone knows group B was ruled by a metro 6r4.
  23. seems rather useless, and no youd have to have a memory card in your camera for it to work, apparently the time is mega slow too. im probably goin to get one, as theres a possibility im going to africa next year, and a high chance of me going to australia for a couple of weeks the year after. at which point my 4gb card just wont cut it. and itll be good to have a back up too.(and i wont be taking me laptop with me to either places) but for just out and about shooting, seems a bit pointless. and camera battery to look at pictures, might as well carry an extra battery, and have you got any idea how long a charged battery lasts. sure mines done circa 3000 shots now, probably about 30% using camera flash. and its only been charged like 6 or so times in total.
  24. thanks think id got the hang of it anyway, i could get videos i took on my mobile phone on there, but had got a couple of music videos, supported by quicktime, that wouldnt go onto me ipod, and cant work out why, just trying it with hot fuzz converted by videora now(as the real purpose was for stickin me dvd collection on there to plug into the 14 inch portable tv gracing most of the travel inns i stay in)
